This 1 Star review is actually more than it deserves. We've been coming to the Centurion Suite at Crypto.com Arena for over seven years, and unfortunately, the experience has steadily declined--especially since 2021. Over the years there have been ups and downs, but the overall trajectory is clear: fewer benefits, reduced value, and a noticeable effort to cut costs at the expense of cardmembers. Immediately after COVID, Centurion and Platinum cardmembers could bring up to three guests, each of whom could order two complimentary "you call it" beverages, alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Over time, this was gradually reduced. First, guests were limited to one. Then only the cardmember could receive complimentary drinks while the guest received none. Currently, even the cardmember is restricted to beer, wine, or a very limited selection of three signature cocktails--no more full bar access for the 2 complimentary drinks. The food has unfortunately declined as well. This is supposed to be a Centurion Suite, yet the quality and portions no longer reflect that standard. For example, they once offered excellent nachos with optional chicken or steak. Now, it's a sparse plate of large, Tostitos-style chips with nacho cheese and basic toppings--far less plentiful and far less appealing. These changes give the impression that the goal is no longer to enhance the cardmember experience, but rather to reduce benefits, lower expectations, and save money. It's hard to believe management has asked themselves a simple question: "If I were paying these annual fees, would I be happy with this experience?" Centurion and Platinum cardholders pay a premium for lounge access--why continue to cheapen it? At this point, unless you have very poor seats elsewhere in the arena, the Centurion Suite is barely worth visiting. That said, not everything is negative. Latisha, who handles service across the tables and counters, is genuinely one of the nicest and hardest-working servers you'll ever meet. The bartenders, Rob and Scott, are also excellent and second to none. None of the Centurion Lounge staff are responsible for these changes, yet they've clearly been impacted--especially when it comes to tipping. It's unfortunate, because this suite used to be one of the best amenities at Crypto.com Arena. If this review reaches management or decision-makers, please know this sentiment is shared by many long-time cardholders. The current state of the Centurion Suite reflects poorly on both Centurion and Platinum brands, and it leaves loyal customers feeling like AMEX no longer values them. read more

It is always nice to use some of the perks of my overpriced Amex Platinum Card. In this case it was worth about $50 of stadium priced beers, which is two 25 oz cans. The room was nice and had a very high view of the ice. I wouldn't sit up here to watch a game although I found that a bunch of people buy the really cheap seats then watch the game from the lounge. It sounds crazy, but it is true. Next time I come to a King or Laker game I will visit to claim my &50 worth of beers, which would be over 60 cans of beer, in the "Real World"! read more

This was the only lounge open for the Real USC so it was nice to go up and grab a free drink with our AMEX benefits. The line the get it was pretty smooth, just show your card and ID and get a wrist band with 2 free drink vouchers. You're allowed one guest per cardholder so I got my friend in and split my drink voucher with her. It was only specific drinks but the ones they made were really good. I think because it wasn't a lakers game, food wasn't being served but I believe they normally serve food as well. We just got tenders for Ludo and they were actually pretty good. Located inside the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles. For American Express Platinum card holders. My buddy has this card so we got cheap nose bleed seats and got to the arena early. The lounge is limited so once it's full you can't go in. The card holder can have one guest which I was. You are first handed a card in line once the card holder provides the card and license you get a wristband the card holder's wristband has two free drink tabs on it the guest band does not. Once inside it's first come first serve with the seats once seated you can download the menu and order food however you still have to pay so it's expensive. We ended up getting the burgers it was good but the price was a bit outrageous but what do you expect for arena foods and drinks. The seats are pretty good and you get a good view of the hockey game. Overall it was a good experience only wish I could afford an Amex platinum card I would definitely sit in this lounge for games. read more

I've been trying to hit as many Amex suites/lounges that I have access to. I want to justify the hefty annual fee for an Amex platinum card. Unfortunately, the suite experience at Crypto was pretty weak, leading to a Mediocre Mon. Positives: Nice staff Negatives: Its a lot of work to get into line to obtain a wristband; Members can bring in 3 guests, but only receive two drink coupons. I would rather they limit members to one unpaid guest, and pay for up to 3 guests; No comp food. I would rather they charge for excess guests, and have food available like an airport lounge; The view is not great, and there are limited areas to view the gm from this suite. Not sure what they can do to improve the foregoing bc space is limited. The negatives far outweigh one positive. A mediocre experience for something w/ Amex attached, as well as something that is supposed to be a perk for the most expensive credit card on the market. TLDR: Your mileage will vary. But definitely best bang for your buck if you have the Amex Platinum credit card and are trying to use all the benefits each year! This was my second time coming here for a lakers game and I came about 2 weeks ago. The ambiance was much better this time probably because I went to a less popular opposing team (Washington wizards), so upon arrival there suite had many seats available unlike the last time I went (over a year ago). This might also be because this year the new rule has it where Amex platinum cardholders can only bring in one guest instead of 3 so I noticed it was much less crowded and easier to find seats. Food was decent but a bit pricey as expected and your Amex credit card 10% discount does not apply to food in here which is surprising. Only for concessions outside the suite. Nevertheless I still enjoyed my $14 garlic Parmesan fries after tax and tip. Waiter was very nice and always checked up on me. And the bartender that night was very talkative and friendly. He gave me good recommendations and I ended up ordering a delicious tropical drink "Malibu Baybreeze" Overall if you are looking to maximize your Amex platinum credit card and get free seat upgrades I highly recommend this suite. Just make sure to line up to the game early as the suite is first come first serve. I came to line up like 1 hour before doors opened. Really good deal for the view considering I just needed to buy the cheapest nosebleed ticket and could sit in the suite. read more

Had a great time at the Amex Centaurion lounge in the Crypto.com Arena. As previously mentioned, in order to access this lounge, you must have an Amex Platinum Credit Card. You can bring up to 3 guests according to the website with each person getting 2 free drinks. I brought my brother and my cousin for a laker game and we were able to get in with no problem. We did arrive 2.5 hours before the game started to fall in line at the Star Plaza Entrance (best entrance to access the lounge). Once you get in from the entrance, the line to get the wristband is just to the left. I believe there's only 150 guests allowed in the lounge so spots are very limited. People will literally rush the entrance to get a spot. But, if you're one of the first few people in, you won't have a problem getting a seat. My cousins and I were able to get a lounge couch with a really nice view of the court. The moment we secured a seat, a very nice waitress came to us right away and began taking our orders. The drinks came to us fairly quick including our orders in the middle of the game. We ordered the garlic fries and loaded nachos which were a lot for us 3. The food was an equivalent to bar food in my opinion. For the most part, we stayed in our claimed seats and people were pretty respectful around us and did not block our view. Although the Lakers lost to the knicks this night, still had a great experience at the lounge. Highly recommend if you have the AMEX Platinum but will advise to come in really early to secure a spot and get good seats. read more

Most people should already know, but to access this Suite, you need an AmEx Platinum (or, the elusive, Centurion) card and you can bring a maximum of 2 free guests with you. (Don't forget you have to bring your ID and AmEx card, otherwise you will not be let in to the lounge.) Your guests also get a max of 2 free drinks each. It is a rather limited space, which is why the lines form quick and end up ending quick too. Doors open 1.5 hours before puck-/ball-drop, and on the weekends, after 30 minutes of doors opening, lines have formed and less than an hour, the lounge is at capacity. The capacity is 150 and it does get filled rather quickly. I do have to note that I haven't always had the best of experiences here, on some occasions, people fight their way to the line and are rude about it. Some even have lied that the Suite is full to deter others from going. Once you get in line, an attendant will give you a bracelet and up you go. Take a look at what Jon K wrote about accessing the lounge for a more finding the line and getting into the lounge upstairs. The seating is geared more towards counter seating for views of the arena, wtih a handful of high-top tables - they all have limited view of the arena, however. The service every time I've been has been fast, although it can be slow due to the number of people in there, and only one bar to order from. The staff were all very nice here. Pro-tip: There's a dedicated AmEx entrance on the side, if you want to use that to enter the stadium. I definitely recommend coming to the Centurion Suite if you can! I think this is a great perk for Amex Platinum Cardholders. You get a wristband for 2 free alcoholic drinks apiece, you can bring up to 3 people with you to the suite. They cap the suite entrance, so make sure you are there about an hour before gametime. If you buy cheap nosebleed seats, you may be lucky and snag a table here at the lounge, but you have to get here super early. Food is "slightly upgraded" here but different from the arena food. We came here for an LA Kings game, and we had a great time. Upon entry, we got 2 drink tickets per person, and the view was quite an upgrade from our 300 level seats. There were small bar tables that we were able to get along with bar seating and a few chairs too up against the glass. Although the food is your typical arena prices, the burger I had was truly phenomenal! I was honestly surprised at how juicy and flavorful it was--I am definitely ordering it again. The food menu itself is a little limited (I recall nachos being on the menu too but not much else), so my friend brought in food from one of the stands outside the lounge. Essentially, everyone goes and camps there the entire game so if you aren't early enough to get seats then you'll be left standing. If you're an AMEX Platinum Card holder, or otherwise have access to AMEX's Centurion Suites, you're in luck. The Centurion Suite at Stapl...oops, I mean, the Crypto.com Arena , is one of the best kept secrets in LA. Granted, to access this lounge, you'll need an AMEX Platinum Card (which carries an unspeakable annual fee...seriously, go look it up), but assuming you already have one, this is a GREAT way to upgrade your nosebleed seats and find yourself in the equivalent of the 200's section. If this is your first time trying to get into the AMEX Lounge, READ THIS: 1) Make sure you pack your AMEX Platinum Card and ID. All will be for naught if you forget it. 2) Get to the Crypto.com Arena at least 30 minutes before doors open (approximately 1.5-2 hours before tip off). You're going to want to be one of the first in line to get into the building. If you're not, chances are you won't be able to find a seat in the lounge which only has seating for 50 even though they let 100 people in (i.e. half will be sitting, the rest will be standing and/or just going to their normal seats). 3) Find the Star Plaza Entrance. It's behind the Shaq and Magic statues off Figueroa and Chick Hearn Ct (It's basically the "back side" of the Crypo Arena). Get in line in any of the queues that lead in but be sure to get there at least 30 minutes BEFORE doors open. Doors opened at 5:30pm on a Tuesday for us so we were in line by 5:00pm. There were already some people lined up in the 10 or so doors leading into the Arena. We found the shortest one we could and ended up being second in line. 4) Once you're in, make a left and RUN to the Delta Suites/American Express entrance. It should be just 50-100 feet from the Star Plaza Entrance on the left. You'll have to wait in line as the doormen check your AMEX Platinum Card and ID and give you a bracelet. You might think to yourself you're all set but don't be fooled, you still need to claim a seat! 5) After you get your bracelet, go down the hallway and around the corner. Take the stairs or the escalator to the next level. Here's where it gets tricky. Once you're up the stairs, you'll see a lounge to your right. That is NOT the AMEX lounge. You need to go left and take the stairs to the next level. There's an elevator behind you but it's faster to go left and take the stairs. Once you climb those stairs, the AMEX Centurion Suite should be on your right. A doormen should be there to check your bracelets. 6) You are now on the doorstep of basketball viewing immortality. Once you're in the lounge, don't waste time looking around and ooh-ing and ah-ing as the Lakers warm up on court. There'll be time for that later. You my friend need to find a seat! If you're with a friend, have them camp out at the first open seats you find as you continue down the lounge looking for a better spot. Once you both find a spot you like, have a seat, take a breather, and soak in the view. In Conclusion: At this point you might be asking yourself, is this all worth it? Is getting to the Arena literally 2 hours before tipoff just to score a few drinks and a minor seat upgrade worth all the stress and anxiety? Honestly, I don't know. In my early 20's, the answer would have been a resounding YES. Now that I'm older and could probably afford nicer tickets if I really wanted to...eh, I'm not so sure. But I will say the "thrill of the chase" made even getting to tipoff that much more exciting and memorable. My brother and I went on to watch the Lakers get slaughtered (cmon Bron and Brodie...) but at least we got to do it from a good vantage point. A few last things: - 1 AMEX Platinum Card = up to 4 bracelets (i.e. you can bring up to 3 friends with you. They'll each need to have their own tickets to get into the game obviously, but that means you guys can buy the cheapest seats in the house but still get a 200's section type view. Not bad.) - The Lounge is available for any event at the Crypto.com Arena unless otherwise specified (e.g. Clippers games--boo, Kings games, concerts, etc) - The food in the lounge is pretty good as far as Stadium food goes. We got the loaded nachos $22 and they were delicious. Plenty for 1 person, enough for 2 if you also get something else like the garlic fries $11, yum! - Each bracelet comes with 2 FREE DRINK TICKETS. You not only get to upgrade your view, but AMEX is buying you 2 drinks on them! Does it justify the outrageous annual fee for the card? Hell no! But it's a nice perk :). After reading reviews, I didn't have a bunch of expectations for this place. I've visited many of these lounges across the globe and while they are always packed, they are often classy and pleasant. Arrived at the stadium as soon as doors opened and stood in a short line to enter. Despite this, there was STILL no place to sit when we arrived. The lounge literally has no seating. A few bar stools, some lounge chairs and a smattering of seats but definitely not a place for any amount of spectators. The few that do have seats are surrounded by standing crowds trying to peep a view of the game. Got our two free drinks, balanced a bite to eat standing up and left for our seats. It's a lounge yes - but certainly not a centurion lounge. read more

My husband and I had been to a few b-ball games and taken advantage of access to this lounge. We had always gotten the cheapest tickets aka crappiest seats.. and enjoyed the 200 section view. Of course, the down side is that the section is first come first serve. My advice is to come at least 30 mins before the start of the game. They only offer 100 people to access the lounge for each event so come early for the popular games! Unlike Centurion lounges in the airport, foods and drinks are not included. My wife and I never knew that our AMEX Platinum Business card opened up this option for us to try out when we go to Kings games. We decided to try it the other night and it was a different experience. It has a classy feel and there are some loungers there that are nice but you have to get there early obviously if you want those. Otherwise, they have tables and chairs. It's not a great view for hockey since it gives you essentially the cheap angle seat view from a high point. We usually sit in the PR Level and we wanted to go back after spending about 15 minutes here. You just feel more like you are part of the action whereas it feels like you are viewing things in a sports bar type atmosphere. We will try it for a Lakers game next and compare the experience. It's more of a great option if you have lousy seats and want to upgrade from there but if your seats are good and you have in-seat service, you are better off staying there unless you like the lounge aspect. The bar did have quite a good selection of options and the complimentary massage was the cherry on top. The whole lounge is subdivided in several different interesting areas for every mood. "Membership has its privileges." American Express has advertised that for years and as a card holder, I can't agree more. At the different card levels, you are granted access, sometimes for free, to some exclusive privileges. If you hold a Platinum or Black card and already have tickets to the game, then this lounge at Staples Center is one of those privileges. Access point to the Club Level is next to the TeamLA Store on Aisle 22. Flash your card at with the person at the front. They'll take your name and strap you with wristbands that will allow you access to this lounge. Go up the escalator and stairs to Level B and enter through the double doors on the right. Each card holder is allowed to bring up to 4 others into the lounge. The lounge is open and airy, above the 200 level seats on the baseline and just above the San Manuel Lounge. There's a bar and some high table seating with wide walking aisles along the back wall. You are not guaranteed to get a seat. I can't say you'll have the best view in the house, because you don't. If you have a 100 or 200 level seat, your view will be better at your original seat. In that case, the only reason you'd want to come up here is to be at a chill place to get a drink. If you are on the 300 level, this will get you closer to the action and you might enjoy the lounge view better (or you might not, I think the center 300 sections still sport a better view of the action), but no question you'll love having the room to stretch out your arms instead of being cramped in normal arena seating with people scootching in and out of your row and aisle. For context I've been in all the seats at Staples, from last row of the upper level to courtside. This lounge gives you the feel of being in an exclusive area without feeling as detached from the game as you do when you're in a suite (where it feels like you are watching the game in a glorified living room, separated from the crowd). I still felt as though I was part of the crowd because even though I was above the the 200 section, it just felt like I was sitting in an extension of the 200 level. Free access to a lounge where you can have drinks, eat some food and watch the Lakers, Clippers or Kings play in relaxed comfort... Who doesn't love that? read more

While the lounge itself is great unfortunately the waitress (at least for kings nights) leticia only pays attention to a select few and completely ignores everyone else. We ordered drinks as soon as we were able to get her attention and she forgot about us when we finally waved her down an hour later to ask for our drinks she still took another 20 min to actually bring them to us. While the lounge is supposed to be 1st come 1st serve because of limited seating she reserves tables for her favorites who show up late and rudely kicks out guest who arrive early to get a good seat. Amex members get free drinks but if you want her to bring you anything you have to ridiculously overtip her for shitty service. When she's not walking around on her phone you can find her sitting down talking with the only people she attends. Honestly she ruins the experience. read more

I'm almost a 10 year no limit platinum card holder and we booked tickets to a concert. I called Ahead to the lounge to make sure it was open and it was. We made our plans and invited our friends. After standing in a decent line we got in to the arena and made our way to the lounge. We stood in line there to get into the lounge and once at the door they told us our card doesn't get us into the lounge on that night. The point have having the card we do is these perks of lounge access. It's a bummer to see companies treat loyal customers this way. read more

Come early!!! First come first serve seats get taken fast. We buy nose bleed tickets, grub at Yard House's happy hour and come in early(right as doors open) to get a table here. There's full service food and drink menu, however it's quite pricey. Food is nothing special just overpriced stadium food. Better to eat before you come. American Express Platinum Club is on the B-Level of Staples Center. It is open to anyone that has a real AMEX Platinum card....the Silver ones but I am sure if you have a Black card they will not stop you. :p If you are on the suite level/premier level you it will be easy to access but if you are not you need to go to the VIP door on the main concourse near the TEAM LA store and show them your card. Like the other reviewer said, it's a great place to view the game. The view allows for you to see the court at a good aerial angle, so we usually just buy subpar tickets and head straight for the lounge. Be sure to get there early since we came maybe 10 minutes after the game started and snagged the last table available all the way at the end. Otherwise, there is also bar seating if you'd prefer that, but I liked the space available at a table. Watch out for families with rowdy kids--this huge family brought their kids AND a basketball into the lounge, which they played with during the game. This was the only minor distraction--I wish they enforced some type of demeanor during the game at the very least. Lastly, if nothing on the menu looks especially appetizing to you, you're also able to buy from other vendors in the Staples Center and bring your food in with you! read more

Great place to sit if you get a nice seat here. View is comparable to box seats except you are viewing from behind the backboard. Get here early though as it gets packed as game time nears. Entrance is across from Aisle 22 on the main concourse. The only reason for the 3 stars is that service is extremely slow. It seems like there is only 1-2 servers for the entire place. I ordered fries and it has been 45 minutes and counting - fries are nowhere to be seen. The menu is limited but offers some dishes better than the usual fast food options. Prices for food are in line with Staples Center pricing. I heard that beer is cheaper outside though so it might be worth the beer run if you have your spot secured. Apparently you can bring in food and drinks. Overall, good "exclusive" seats and dining service than 300 section (aka nosebleeds) but slow service takes away from the experience that American Express is known to provide. I've gone to several Lakers games this season, so I'm getting pretty familiar with the Staples Center. I just learned that if you have a Platinum or Black AMEX card, you have free access to their lounge. We checked it out before a game recently. It's located above the dining room and we had to take an elevator to get up there. It wasn't anything like a Business Class lounge at the airport, but they serve food and drinks there. They only have a few bar tables and all of them were taken, so I guess you have to get their early. The view of the court is not good, but if you don't like the seats that you have, you may want to check this place out and compare. It was pretty quiet up there, so I'll get there early next time and relax with a drink before I head over to my seats. read more

I really like the suite and would usually go up at and have a drink sometime during the game. But the last couple of times that i have gone they said that no more wrist bands available. No wrist bands no entry So last time i figured i would get one before the game started. same thing none available and that was half an hour before game time. and i have the Black centurion card so that doesn't even matter. read more

Really nice spot to get away from the fray of game day. Nice bar, you can order snacks from a fairly limited but diverse menu (salad, tacos, burgers and sushi). Space is VERY limited -- get here early or you won't get a place to sit. It opens 90 minutes prior to game time. You have to sign up at a kiosk near the team store and show an Amex Platinum card. Each person with a platinum card can bring in 4 guests. You get a decent view of the ice but are fairly high up so if you are a huge fan, you'll probably want to work your way down to seats after a snack and a few drinks. I also recommend the bathrooms on this level: keep your wristband and use it to come up if you need the facilities: nicer and NO LINE UP! read more

This is a nice place to watch the game. It's especially useful if you are in the 300s and don't have access to any of the other lounges in staples center. I love this lounge because you can escape the crowds & the bathrooms are much nicer. However, I just paid $15 for a chicken sandwich with the smallest chicken breast that I've ever seen. It was literally less than 1/4" thick. They don't serve water either unless you order it in the bottle for $5. A glass of crappy wine is $16 (bottle sells for $25 in the store).
