The Lab is a chill spot for food and drinks. There is seating both indoors and outdoors with some large couch areas for big groups or small tables for intimate meetings. We ordered the kimchi fries and brussel sprouts for the table. They were tasty and well portioned for sharing. They had a sizable drink menu with cocktails, beers and wines. The closest parking lot charges $4 an hour. There's limited street parking. This place wasn't anything special, but a solid option for happy hour or post-work drinks.

The Lab Gastropub is a loud, noisy spot; these facts aren't a secret because of it's proximity to USC. Tip: The venue is directly opposite the USC campus The portion sizes here are very generous, and the food is pretty darn good - put a couple of beers next to some of their food and it tastes even better ;) Prices are fairly reasonable, and the service is prompt and friendly.

Cool spot to go to before or after a USC game . The Galen center is directly next door. Parking lot available across the street. Friendly staff!

Terrible experience. Came to the Mens Basketball Game. Got charged $39 for two 805 beers. They said "service charge" is included. Beers were $12 each, math was not mathing. I tried to get an explanation about charges and they were all rude and disrespectful. Never coming back ever again. #TRASH

My take on this for those thinking good place before USC football game. If you come early you are good. However even ar 3 hours before a game on Friday night it was crowded. All seating was taken and my son and I just got lucky to squeeze in with a group. So for a relaxing time before game...plan to get there like 4 hours before but then you need to keep buying drinks and food. The food was surprisingly good for the chicken and burger sandwiches. Skip the spinach dip. The pita chips were soggy. Tvs for sports environment, not as many as people say there are. Especially if you are outside.

A pretty solid bar located RIGHT across the street from USC's campus with a pretty affordable happy hour and hefty portions of food! You order at the bar and can take your number wherever, including the nice outside patio that they have. It's located a convenient walking distance and a great place to grab a drink after class! I got the coco piña daquiri and it was really tasty -- they mix strong drinks so you're getting your money's worth! I also got the mac and cheese, which was a large portion size, and also the perfect amount of spicy. It had breadcrumbs on top and was really great!

I came here with my friend after a USC basketball game at the Galen Center. I'm sure they get a lot of foot traffic being at such a prime location. The staff was very friendly and I liked the layout of the seating. That lab burger was unreal. I was disappointed with the moscow mule (watery), but that burger was dynamite. My friend got the alligator sausage, which was good, but I'm glad I got the burger.

    Great michelada!!!

Once seated it took us 30 minutes to even be GREETED so we could get an order in. Our server was named either "NINA" or "MINA" and she was AWFUL. She actually stared at us a few times in the 30 minutes before walking over so she knew we were assigned to her section but decided to ignore us and two other tables nearby. She came over. We were polite. She asked if we were ready. We placed two drink orders and ordered nachos and wings. The drinks came. There was no alcohol in them .... The nachos were mehhh... the wings were good. She ignored us for another 30 minutes and finally walked over and asked if everything was ok... I told her there was no alcohol in our drinks... she said "there is trust me" I reiterated... no there's not. It was just dragon fruit juice and ice. She blatantly asked me "what do you want me to do about it?" Great customer service skills and server skills (sarcasm) This place gets a 1/10 from me. I would never patronize this establishment again. Don't waste your time honestly. Wait Time = POOR Service = TRASH DRINKS = POOR But the wings were good tho!!! Ambiance ... reasonably loud. We never saw our server again.. she floated around for almost 2 hours and we only saw her TWICE. This was the worst experience eating out I've ever had hands down and I've tried a LOT of places. I hope management reaches out to me so we can discuss this further.

The sports bar is pretty big and much nicer than I thought. There are bar seatings, high top tables, booths, and tables. We opted in and sat at the bar. The service was good and bartenders were friendly. I believe our bartender is fairly new, she had a bit of trouble on working the ordering/bill terminal. She wasn't familiar with the menu when we asked her questions about it. There is a decent selection of beer on taps, wine, liquor, margaritas on tap. The food menu is not extensive but a decent appetizer selection. We ordered the Versus wings (I think there were 14 chicken wings) which are served in split 2 different flavor sauces. The spicy bulgogi sauce & an Aji-like sauce with parmesan cheese. The wings were juicy, tender, and big. Not those janky tiny little wings. It's worth the money you pay for at a sporting event. I'm so glad they have these unique flavors coz I don't care for buffalo wings. We also ordered the pork belly confit tacos, they were really good. I am pretty impressed with the fusion food menu. I didn't expect the food to be that good , arena food is usually mehhhh. I assumed they might've hired a new chef with a new menu. Come check out this bar and grab some food if you don't want arena food. For the money you pay for in the arena, might as well get appetizers here. Come give them a try!

Did have to wait around 20 min for a table which is understandable considering the VB tournament and the World Cup happening. Orders were taken promptly after being seated and drinks came out fairly quickly afterwards. Food also followed at a typical pace with multiple servers trying to get the food out as close together as possible. The only improvement here after working as a server myself for years is to have an idea who the food belongs to before delivering. It was hard to hear and walking back and forth loudly asking who had the Chicken Avocado or the Poke bowl etc could have been more efficient. Our large group is pretty good at hollering down the table to help figure it out and just happy to all get our food and I'm sure that was more expeditious than every server looking to see where it went. We appreciated all getting served at nearly the same time. I had the Grand Patron Margarita no salt - it was correct the first time as 70-80 percent of the time I get one with salt and that made me quite happy. The fact it was in a short glass instead of a tall glass and overly sweet was perfect. A great margarita! I wanted something very small and ordered the "Small" Cobb salad without bacon. Again, great job with the modification and no bacon! I had to double check it was a small salad as it was more than plenty for me. I love love love this salad! Plenty of great goodies on top to last the entire salad including edamame and avocado. It didn't seem lacking at all even with the bacon missing. My son had the BBQ bacon burger and loved it. Great bun, perfect burger, perfect for my teen guy! Everyone else also commented on their food, flavor, and great menu choices. There was just one mix up with Chicken Alfredo for another cChicken Alfredo item on the menu, it was quickly resolved and all good! This is a great location for large groups as they can accommodate and likely are set up to do it often given the location at LA Live. I don't care for having to use the kiosk when paying. While it does make it easy to separate the checks by each of us finding our own items, it took a bit of time as it got passed down the table and instructions to skip the survey and put it back on "select individual items" for the next person. I feel like someone in our group requested this as they've been to Yard House before, so no ding from me.. I just have a strong aversion to the kiosks everywhere we dine. Still a 5 from me overall for efficiency and food quality and happiness of our group!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after this experience, I will not be returning…read more I live directly across the street and have been a loyal customer, ordering from this location at least four times per week. Despite spending hundreds of dollars here over time, it is clear that customer loyalty means absolutely nothing to this establishment. My order was placed well in advance, yet I waited approximately 20 minutes after arriving for pickup. The receipt itself shows the order was placed around 2:30 p.m., and by the time I received it, nearly an hour had passed. Waiting is one thing. Poor service and a complete lack of concern is another. What is even more frustrating is that the order was still incorrect. If I pay for extra chicken, I expect extra chicken. If I request extra lettuce, I expect extra lettuce. These are simple requests and items that I am paying for. What separates good restaurants from bad ones is not whether mistakes happen--mistakes happen everywhere. The difference is how management responds. Restaurants like Lazy Dog and Lucky Strike understand that if a customer has a bad experience, management steps in, apologizes, and makes a genuine effort to correct the issue so the customer returns in the future. That did not happen here. No apology. No accountability. No effort to make things right. Just attitude and indifference. As an attorney, I pay attention to details and patterns. This was not an isolated incident. This was the latest in a long series of disappointing experiences. At some point, repeated mistakes become a reflection of management and the culture they allow. There are far too many businesses that appreciate their customers for me to continue supporting one that clearly does not. I will be taking my business elsewhere The issue is not just the food. The issue is the customer service. To the employees working the front: customer service starts with greeting customers politely and professionally. Customers should not feel like they are inconveniencing staff simply by placing an order or asking about an order they paid for. A smile and basic courtesy go a long way The level of incompetence right now has literally spoiled my appetite to eat the salad.

Absolutely. I think more frequent updates about wait times and capacity would have helped manage expectations. That said, once we got inside, we honestly had a great time. The atmosphere was fun, the energy was amazing, and it was clear that the staff was working incredibly hard. They were dealing with a crowd that seemed much larger than anyone anticipated, and despite being understaffed, everyone we interacted with remained professional and friendly. I also think it's important to be realistic about the situation. There were people lined up far down the street, and just looking at the size of the restaurant, it was obvious that there was no way everyone would be able to get in. It was an extremely popular event, and the demand simply exceeded the venue's capacity. I completely understand why some people left feeling frustrated, especially if they waited and didn't get in. At the same time, I don't think the staff deserved the level of criticism they've been receiving. From what I saw, they were doing their best in a difficult situation and trying to accommodate as many people as possible. For our group, the wait ended up being worth it. We had a great time cheering on Korea, enjoyed the food and drinks, and made some fun memories with friends. No event is perfect, especially with a huge crowd. We had a good time and will be back

When I arrived, there were only about 15-20 people ahead of me in line. As the afternoon progressed, the line stretched down the street, yet no staff member came outside to communicate capacity limits, seating availability, or where the line should reasonably end. Even more concerning, patrons were not admitted until after the match had already started. The situation quickly became chaotic. People who had waited for hours were understandably frustrated, and many were openly voicing their concerns. Groups were admitted one at a time, creating further delays. When it was finally my turn to enter, I was informed that all tables had been taken and that only standing room remained. I was allowed to look inside before deciding whether to stay. What I observed was particularly disappointing: many individuals who had not been ahead of me in line were already seated at tables. I have no idea how they got in but I suspect they were allowed in through some other entrance. After waiting more than two hours based on the information provided by the establishment, this felt unfair and misleading. Most disappointing was having invited friends to join me for the match, only to have the experience ruined by what appeared to be poor planning and inadequate crowd management. The demand for a major World Cup match should not have come as a surprise. If the venue anticipated significant attendance, additional seating, staffing, and clear communication should have been put in place. This was one of the most poorly managed event experiences I have encountered. At a minimum, I believe the ownership should publicly acknowledge what occurred and apologize to the many customers who invested hours of their time only to be left without the accommodations they were promised. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
