I have a beast of a dog (he's just very large, very fluffy, and very old so without a doubt, a challenge to properly groom). After a few abysmal experiences at other places, I found Doggie Style a couple of years ago and will never take him anywhere else. It's so evident that they love their jobs and the animals they work on and no one has ever done as good of a job with the kindness that this place does. Many thanks to Leah and Samm, who my dog usually sees (note to management- give these ladies raises! Lol) but truly, everyone there has been wonderful. 10/10 recommend this place!

Some groomers even take up to 3 hours to get the job done on just one pup. Dani and her daughter are amazing. Miracle workers to be exact. We used to live across the street and got our dogs groomed regularly. My mom and her dog live 7 hours away and make the trip down here so Kaishing can be groomed to perfection by Dani. Mango gets trimmed at home by me and gets a beautiful short cut for the summer by Dani. We don't live as close anymore so we don't get to see them as much as we'd like but they're sincerely the best groomers in the state. I'm able to say this due to the fact that Mango has been to groomers all the way from Muskegon, Grand Rapids, Lansing, all over metro Detroit, the upper peninsula, South Carolina, New York, and even California. Dani is by far the best! I will never stop saying this and I will NEVER stop recommending them to everyone I know and meet in the future.

Overall was very upset with this interaction. I've been to petco's that take better care of their animals. I understand that animals come in and out of these places so "not giving them the most deluxe cage" for their temporary stay isn't a priority but I mean come on guys. All the bare minimums were not being met, and are now setting terrible examples for people who will go into getting these pets thinking they're going to be easy to take care of because they saw them in a tank with some seeds and a knocked over wheel, people will follow as they see. I mean if I get a response saying "please reach out to discuss further" like I've seen on every other bad review like mine just no, just do better, please, for the animals that don't have a voice. I have been to this location for low cost vaccines, and spaying for my personal cat which the staff and care was phenomenal. I have also utilized their TNR program for a feral cat who birthed my new kitten which was also quick, efficient and a great experience. I've received guidance from their staff on help with a feral cat colony in my area regarding cats that need medical treatment. Overall, they are honestly the most caring and devoted people I've ever met. They show SO MUCH compassion and love towards animals and those that are trying to help animals. I highly recommend them!

This was the first time that we took our three Yorkies here to be groomed. My wife works right up…read morethe road so we figured if all things went well after their first visit we'd continue to go there. It would be super convenient for her to take them during the week on her way to work and then have them hang with her in the office the rest of the day when they were done. It is a better alternative to occupying an entire Saturday waiting around for a call back to let us know they were done. On top of convenience, another reason we decided to give this place a shot was because our last groomer progressively did a worse and worse job plus they would take forever and a day to groom them. I understand three dogs can be a lot, but when they collectively weigh around 20 pounds total it should not take three hours per dog to groom. Debbie had our dogs looking exactly how we wanted them in about three hours. Plus she is a few bucks cheaper too so which was an added plus. Debbie was super nice as well and seemed to be very dedicated to her craft. I say this because we got pounded with a ton of snow the night prior to their appointments and the roads were horrible to drive on. It was so bad she had mentioned to us that all of her other employees called off, yet she still made the effort to make it in. She even gave each of our dogs a little bag of goodies for Christmas that consisted of treats and toys along with some swag (I can't believe I just said that) new bandanas and bows. I think we have found our new groomer for the foreseeable future.

I waited,(too long),…read moreto have my Abby's nails clipped because there was talk of the shop reopening and I know Abby is comfortable with the girls there. They never reopened. Abby's nails were awful at this point and needed immediate attention! (My fault) I was able to do a walk-in appointment, on a Saturday, and Abby's nails were tended to in minutes! My Abby is 13 years old with bad hips and and has always been a bit dramatic when getting a nail trim. I was amazed! Nicole got on the floor with Abby and she made Abby so comfortable. Abby didn't squirm, yelp or cry like she always has during nail trims. I'm so happy I went here! The crazy part is American School of Dog Grooming is less than a mile from my home and I've never gone there before! I'll never go anywhere else! They were great!!!
