Courtney is an amazing seamstress!! She did such remarkable work with alterations to my wedding dress! She is very meticulous with her work: from start to finish. She provides a breakdown of her services, does a through assessment of what she sees is needed so that your dress will fit exactly as it was made for you. At every detail she asks what your vision is and provides advice. This was especially helpful for me, first time getting married and having no clue about wedding dress alterations, etc. She provides a layout of pricing, and also gives alternatives to work with your budget. I am a very satisfied customer.

I was very lucky to be able to book Courtney! I got my dress from Bridal Elegance and got a Maggie Sottero dress, I needed quite a bit of work to fit my body frame and I also wanted a customized sleeve for the ceremony. Courtney was very patient and she really knows her stuff. Every request I made she delivered. And I only did one fitting and it was perfect. I also was hesitant to do a bustle, since I have seen a few that did not look good, and she assured me that I just have not seen a good bustle haha. And when she sampled it for me, I was sold! Hehe. My sister got sick on my final fitting, but she recorded a video of her doing my bustle and the buttons for my dress and my sister was able to do it on the wedding day thanks to Courtney's detailed instructions. The dress came out sooo perfect and beautiful. Thank you so much Courtney! You are truly amazing and the best!

Courtney is amazing! I booked my appointment with her before I found my dream dress since I knew I was going to need it hemmed regardless. I ended up buying my dream dress but lost a bit of weight before the appointment. Her appointment instructions are so clear and concise, she really cares about her work and it shows! During my first appointment, we addressed the silhouette, hem, bustle, and I wanted to cover up a little in the bust area. Needless to say, the dress came out perfect and to this day I continue to receive so many compliments about my dress. Don't hesitate to book her!

Courtney made everything so easy. She made dress shopping so fun and stressless. The dress I bought only needed minor alterations, but she made the fitting appointments go by so quickly. She did a beautiful job. I seriously couldn't have been happier with the way I looked on my wedding day. She even took the time in our final fitting to show me step-by-step how to bustle my dress, so I could record it and use the video later when trying to explain to my husband where all of the bustle loops were. SO helpful. I was on a short time crunch (literally had like 6 weeks from dress shopping to wedding) and Courtney was able to expedite everything and get me my dress with plenty of time to spare. So grateful for her. Thank you for everything, Courtney!

Courtney took my already dream dress and made it even dreamier! I'm so thankful I had her magic grace my wedding dress. I knew my dress was the one when I first tried it on, but there was just one thing missing and Courtney absolutely DELIVERED! she was able to make my straps more comfortable for all day wear and the slit she created for me literally gave my dress that extra va-voom it needed.. she's the best and such a sweetheart!

Courtney did an amazing job with my dress! She was really good about checking in with me during our first appointment together to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted. She also made gentle suggestions that helped ensure that I would be able to walk comfortably in my dress. I had fit and flare style dress and after she was done with it, I felt amazing! The cost was about 800, which I think it very reasonable considering the quality of her work. Highly recommend!

This review is LONG overdue. I got married back in May of this year & my dress was absolutely perfect thanks to Courtney! I bought my Lilian West gown at Bridal Elegance in Torrance & was lucky enough to book Courtney for my alterations. My alterations were: -shorten the length -adjust straps -let out hips -bustle When I had my final fitting, I couldn't believe how perfect the dress looked & felt on me. Courtney made the whole process so seamless (pun intended) & was truly a dream to work with. She is supportive, professional, knowledgeable & efficient. She also completed beautiful alterations on my mom's dress & my maid of honor's dress. Don't hesitate to book Courtney for your alterations!!!

Courtney is absolutely amazing and so talented! I found the dress of my dreams but it was 2 sizes too big for me. She took in the dress and made a bustle. It fit me like a glove and was like the dress was custom made for me. She even tailored my husband's designer suit for our wedding. Courtney has an amazing attention to detail and works magic. Both my husband and I highly recommend her.

Courtney took my dream dress and turned it into my fantasy dress! My request to the back seemed like a big ask, but Courtney started manipulating the fabric without skipping a beat. Presenting me with a preview of the way I had hoped the dress would sit on my back. A month later, with no evidence of tweaking, the back was breathtaking. Since then, I have had the dress cleaned and preserved by the same trusted hands!! Thank you so much Courtney!

Thank goodness for Courtney! As many brides know, there's a lot of stress around the dress fitting correctly/looking the way we want it to on the big day. I am so grateful to Courtney for bringing my dress dreams to life! We did the typical alterations - hemming, adding a bustle, modifying waist line. We also added a beaded belt and removed the boning in my dress (because it wasn't laying correctly). She basically transformed the dress! Courtney also ended up tailoring my mother's dress for the wedding AND she hemmed my 2nd/reception dress. She was a one-stop shop! :) During this whole process, Courtney was knowledgeable about how to bring my vision to life and exuded ease/calmness throughout (which was helpful for my anxiety! Lol). I highly recommend Courtney to everyone, especially future brides!

I'm so happy I was able to meet Courtney! I'm 4'11 and my dress was really long for me, but Courtney was able to cinch it up and make it look like *me* . She's reliable, understanding, and kind! She made the alteration process easy and she listened to my and my mom's requests. I highly recommend Courtney!

Wedding dress fit like a glove. She added fabric as I requested to the torso area to be a little more conservative

I met Courtney through my bridal shop, Bridal Elegance. She was fantastic to work with and helped make my dress fit perfect. She taught my aunt during the second appointment how to do my bustle for the big day. As you can see in the pictures, the dress fit perfectly and she left me a little room to sit comfortably and dance the whole night! Thanks Courtney!

Courtney is truly amazing and her attention to detail is apparent and appreciated! She is able to help you understand what changes on your gowns would look good and what is realistically achievable. She is a true artist at her craft and she treats your garments/wedding gowns with such care and professionlism. She brought my vision to life and I couldn't have been happier on my wedding day with the final look.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I feel obligated…read moreto share it. I brought in several Crate & Barrel curtain panels valued at approximately $900 for dry cleaning. Because of the cost of the curtains and the fact that they were in excellent condition, I specifically asked the owner, Sam, about potential risks before signing the waiver. During that conversation, Sam told me that pilling was a possibility, but he also stated that he had never personally encountered a situation where a customer's curtains experienced an adverse outcome from the cleaning process. He reassured me that everything would be fine. At no point did he mention shrinkage as a potential risk. That distinction is important because if I had been informed that shrinkage was a realistic possibility, I would not have proceeded with a nearly $400 dry-cleaning service on $900 curtains. I would have simply replaced them. Unfortunately, after cleaning, the curtains no longer matched in length. Panels that previously pooled slightly on the floor are now hanging approximately 3-5 inches above the floor, and the lengths appear inconsistent from panel to panel. In addition, the curtains appear to have been pressed improperly. The fabric no longer hangs straight. Instead, the sides appear narrower near the top and wider near the bottom, creating a noticeable billowing or hourglass effect. When I raised this concern, Sam acknowledged that the pressing issue was human error. I should note that I was unable to pick up the curtains for approximately a month due to a medical emergency. However, the condition of the curtains upon pickup does not change the fact that the shrinkage and pressing issues occurred during the cleaning and finishing process. What ultimately prompted this review was not just the outcome, but how the situation was handled. I spent approximately 20 minutes on the phone with Sam attempting to discuss the issue calmly and professionally. Rather than addressing the specific concerns I raised, he repeatedly insisted that I had been warned, despite the fact that shrinkage had never been mentioned. The conversation frequently drifted into broad generalizations about waivers and customer responsibility rather than the specific facts of what had been disclosed to me before I signed. When I explained that there is a meaningful difference between being warned about pilling and being warned about shrinkage, he maintained that shrinkage fell under the general umbrella of possible damage and that he could not be expected to list every potential outcome. I disagreed. When a customer specifically asks about risks, they deserve enough information to make an informed decision. I also found it unreasonable that I was told I could receive either a $50 accommodation for the shrinkage issue or have the curtains re-pressed to correct the acknowledged pressing error--but not both. These are two separate issues. One relates to the cleaning outcome, while the other relates to admitted workmanship during finishing. Perhaps most disappointing was being told that providing any additional accommodation would essentially amount to "running a charity instead of a business." After spending nearly $400 on the service and receiving curtains that no longer fit or hang properly, that comment felt dismissive and unnecessarily insulting. Had Sam simply acknowledged that shrinkage should have been discussed, shown some empathy, and worked collaboratively toward a reasonable solution, I likely would not be writing this review. Instead, I was left with damaged curtains, no meaningful resolution, and a conversation that left me feeling unheard and blamed for an outcome I specifically tried to avoid by asking questions upfront.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!…read more Took my little one in to get a pair of pants taken in at the waist and a simple skirt made with fabric we provided (a costume for a play). The guy took her measurements, marked up the pants (he'd use the pants as reference in making the skirt), and said it'd be "no problem" to have both jobs done in a week's time. There was no back and forth on this, he asked when I needed it and agreed with the day I requested. I show up on the day promised to pick up her garments, and he's sitting watching something on TV. He HAS NOT STARTED the work. He simply says, "Sorry, I had other requests, and I couldn't get anyone to come here to help. Believe me, other people wait two weeks." I said, "But Sir, you said it would be no problem when I said I needed it in ONE! If you'd only told me it wasn't possible, we would've taken our garments elsewhere." His response: "I know, it's not right." So, I ask him for our garments so that I can take them elsewhere. He takes them to the back, WIPES OFF THE CHALK MARKS, and hands them to me. So now, not only do I need to find another tailor to do the work with the little time we have left before the show, but I can't even expedite the process by allowing them to use the measurements already taken. When I asked him why he did that, he replied, "It's my work". Sigh. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but he clearly is unable to operate his business and should probably shut down if this is the level of service he's able to offer. He's left us up a creek without a paddle, and frankly didn't seem really bothered at all.
