Since they only have a regular sewing machine he advised that I go to the alteration place around the corner to get my bridesmaid dress hemmed but he could restitch my skirt and dress. I appreciated that he encouraged me to go elsewhere rather than just taking my money to not do a good job. If you need a fancy piece altered, I'd go elsewhere! They offered to dry clean my clothes after they altered them so I had them clean my dress. Very quick turn around time! They were able to alter my 2 pieces and dry clean my dress by the date he said it would be done (only 5 days - Sat till Wed). They didn't call me to confirm they were done so just show up on the day they say it will be done. To get 2 pieces altered and 1 piece dry cleaned the total cost was only $29.99. Very cheap and worth it! The only disappointment was the stitch color that he used is different than the color of my dress so you can see it a little. You really have to look closely to notice so I'm happy with the work done.

Maureen is very skilled in her work. She took in some inches around my bust and added a bustle for the long train on my dress. Her prices are fair and affordable, and she has a quick turn around time for alterations! For my wedding dress, she had it ready in 2 weeks. My wedding dress zipper kept getting stuck even though tried to adjust it, so she replaced the whole zipper entirely, and it was perfect! She was on the preferred list from the bridal shop I purchased my wedding dress. I had her alter my wedding dress (tighten bust area, bustle, hem) and traditional Chinese dress (shorten sleeves, add bust cups, add darts to make the dress more fitted), and she was able to do it all very efficiently. I also had a last minute decision hem the dress and fortunately did so because Courtney discovered the hem was uneven. When you reach out to her she provides you a range of costs (min to max) so you have a ballpark about the costs of the alterations. Mine ended up being around the middle.
