On Sunday they have Soulfood Sunday plates which come with an entree, 2 sides, a roll or cornbread and a drink. Like I said the fried pork chop is my favorite but my husband has also loved their hamburger and gravy and meatloaf. I also have tried their baked chicken and fried wings and they were all tasty. The sides...all of them are SO GOOD. You know the saying "they put their foot in it"? Well, they put their foot in it. All of it. Each of their sides are packed with flavor (from the meat, so be warned it is not vegetarian!), their collard greens are my favorite but only because they literally have the best greens I've found here in Texas. But, everything else is delicious! We have tried the collards, the southern fried corn, baked beans, sweet potato, Mac and cheese. Everything was a hit. Just a TLDR, everything was pretty damn good. I agree that the chicken didn't have what I would call a cajun seasoning to it, but it was seasoned perfect and it was fried perfect. Great crunch, great flavor. I think they threw an extra wing in there and I still ate every one. I was gonna save a couple for lunch the next day but I couldn't help it. Great fried chicken, and the sizes are pretty big. The pasta did have a cajun twist to it, plenty of crawfish, and although I coulda used a little more spiciness, it was really good. I ate about half of it and the rest for lunch the next day and it tasted even better. The fries had a good seasoning to them, but I wish they would've been cooked a little more. They were a little to soft for me, but I still ate what I could handle. The servings for the pasta and fries were what I consider pretty good portions. Last thing in the combo was a can soda. Everything was $20, a great deal on this stuff. They have different specials. The Zydeco pasta was the special when I went, and I know to get whatever is on special. I'll be going back to get some of that great chicken and whatever else is on special. I kept check on when they are open on Facebook. They are good about keeping current on hours and locations.

They have a divider separating the ordering line from the pickup line, but the card reader is on the right side, which naturally makes it seem like that's where you're supposed to order. There wasn't a single person in line, yet a younger female employee immediately told me I had to move to the other side--literally two steps away. I politely asked why I couldn't just order where I was standing since no one else was there. Instead of explaining, she responded with a rude attitude and said, "If you don't move over here, I'm not going to serve you." That interaction alone made me want to leave. The only reason I stayed was because my daughter had been begging me to bring her there. Ironically, when it was time to pay, I had to move right back to the side where I was originally standing because that's where the card machine was. Customer service goes a long way, especially with first-time customers. A simple explanation and a respectful attitude would have made all the difference. Instead, I left feeling unwelcome.
