However, I was very disappointed with my experience here, especially as someone who also works in pain relief and values Eastern medicine. * $155 for about 5 minutes with the doctor * No real shoulder exam, muscle testing, orthopedic tests, or nerve assessment * Pressed on a few tight spots I showed him in my shoulder and immediately decided on cupping + acupuncture without identifying the actual issue * 15 minutes of cupping, 20 minutes of acupuncture, and I left feeling exactly the same This felt less like individualized care and more like a "same treatment for everyone" approach. Eastern medicine can be incredibly effective when done properly, but this experience felt rushed, impersonal, and money-driven. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this level of care was unacceptable. I'm sorry to say this is an insult to eastern medicine. I've had eastern medicine and they never treated me without even identifying my problem.

From the minute I walked in I was kindly greeted by Dr Xu; she was so personable and we had a great conversation while I waited...like talking to a friend! When I was examined by Dr Zhu, he quickly assessed and we got started. He explained what he observed and treatment option. With his magic touch, I did not even feel the needles go in, the electro stimulation felt like a Massage on the inside and my pain was immediately 75% reduced. By the next day, I was enabled to use my right leg more regularly and am on the mend. He helped me so much and brought my pain level down so I could tolerate it. I was diagnosed with stomach cancer in Nov. 2023 and had my stomach removed in March. I was having pain from the surgery and chemo and Dr.zhu pretty much worked miracles on me! I didn't have me period for months because of the chemo so I asked him to work on that and guess what??? My period came back two days after! I also had awful, debilitating back pain that was keeping me from walking at the end of the day and he worked on that area and two days later, pain is gone!!! She immediately saw my back was inflamed from overuse of the muscles (which was true) and did acupuncture and cupping (my first time)to reduce it. She stayed open 90 min past her closing time for me and bonus - she bills med insurance directly and can confirm what your insurance will pay for the appt. He felt different parts of my body and seemed to know immediately what the problem was. Putting several needles in my right foot, the pain one one spot quickly subsided and minimized. I'm also taking herbs along with weekly Accupuncture sessions. I actually look forward to the needling sessions! He has a light touch and with the warm heat lamps, I've been finding myself falling asleep and snoring! You do have to be patient and allow time to pass. It isn't an instant miraculous cure. But Dr Key works on getting your body to improve and get back into rhythm. I always schedule my appointments but if he has space, he will let you walk in. I like that when I come, I know the time is mine.

The reason for less than 5 stars is related to communication, some misunderstandings early on, expectations that were not fully communicated, and time needed for both the nanny and us to compromise and adjust to each others schedule. The misunderstandings could be related to us needing to find someone quickly as we were having a very rough postpartum experience and not everything was communicated along with a language barrier. Lisa also happened to be on vacation in Asia at the time so the time zone difference was a challenge. Lisa did make an effort to get back to us quickly and communicate our needs to Auntie Yang. If you hire a Postpartum nanny, please understand there will be an adjustment period the first few days and a difference with how you want your baby cared for vs what the nanny has been doing for years. This is more related to cultural differences and practices. In the end Auntie Yang helped get us through a difficult time, truly loved and cared for our baby and in many way become a part of our family.

But where they stand out is that they are compassionate, knowledgeable and really jump right into addressing your concerns. When I wrecked my back, for God knows what reason other than being old and stuff happens now, I had no clue what to do. My dr prescribed the typical pain relaxers and physical therapy which didn't work. I really didn't know what to do next. So I did the normal thing try everything else out to see if works. Luckily, I started first with Accupuncture and scheduled an appointment with Rebecca. She figured out what was going on and could relate to what I was going through. At this point I just wanted to be able to sleep and maybe walk again. The first session went quickly and on my drive home was thinking that's not bad and wow I can kind of walk a bit normal again.
