Ok, how do you write a review about Accupuncture? If it's needles, cupping and excellent care then check, Dao Integrated Health has it and does it. But where they stand out is that they are compassionate, knowledgeable and really jump right into addressing your concerns. When I wrecked my back, for God knows what reason other than being old and stuff happens now, I had no clue what to do. My dr prescribed the typical pain relaxers and physical therapy which didn't work. I really didn't know what to do next. So I did the normal thing try everything else out to see if works. Luckily, I started first with Accupuncture and scheduled an appointment with Rebecca. She figured out what was going on and could relate to what I was going through. At this point I just wanted to be able to sleep and maybe walk again. The first session went quickly and on my drive home was thinking that's not bad and wow I can kind of walk a bit normal again. Got home, got some good sleep and next day felt great. I am now back for more appointments finding this to be way more effective than phys therapy and prescription drugs. About 2 years ago I came down with long covid which has since morphed into chronic fatigue. I tried everything I could to get better (many doctors/pills, meditation, qi gong, taking time off work, etc) without much improvement... until I saw Dr Dao. For a few years I have had mild osteoarthritis in both knees (I'm 73), but for several months my right knee has been killing me (8-9 pain level). A couple years ago I had tried acupuncture for something else, and didn't feel it really helped in that situation, but I was always determined to try it again. In June I was going on a mini birthday vacation, and I was almost to the point of needing a wheel chair or crutches, so after doing online research, I booked an appointment with Christine Dao of Integrated Health. I had my first appt., and left for my vacation. I was not looking for a miracle on that first appt., but I was hoping for reduced pain. That was not to be, if anything, my knee hurt worse that night! Booked an appt for an in-person intake and I no longer needed the appt because I found another clinic that will take my insurance so I cancelled the appt online 48 hours before my booked appt. I even called the next day to make sure the cancellation was done and was told the refund will be processed soon. It's been over 48 hours and still no refund then the customer service rep asked me to wait for another 2 days. They took my payment right away when I was still on the phone booking this appt but it takes very long to refund when I don't need the service anymore. I was referred to Dr. Dao - for severe carpel tunnel in my left hand - she did acupuncture and cupping. My hand is feeling so much. better - that I did not have to wear a brace at nighttime to prevent the burning sensation around 3-4 a.m. every night. Finally! Results and relief! I am absolutely blessed to have found Christine Dao (Dao Integrated Health) through Groupon in 2018. I started in desperation with acupuncture treatment (tx) after Kaiser tried to deny further acupuncture, even though my extreme neck/shoulder & back pain persisted and continued to increase after 1-2 weeks. I only sought pain management so I could continue work and school. I found, though, that Christine is truly gifted in knowing where to target acupuncture and when other modalities (ie: cupping & other practices I never heard of before) are needed. But I also learned/learn soooo much from Christine through her functional med assessment & guidance. After several tx, she said I can keep coming back for acupuncture only, but to get to the bottom of any underlying or contributing conditions, she recommended a few possibilities. Getting real assessments that Kaiser would not approve was well worth the investment in my health. We started with a review of my current Kaiser labs, a few new tests (from good testing labs or home-based), and changing my eating. It felt extreme, but my change in suggested sleeping and eating habits over 2 months helped decrease pain substantially along with acupuncture. After test results showed an underlying autoimmune condition (finally got Kaiser's attention after 20+ years of worsening symptoms) and which foods caused additional irritation and inflammation, she adjusted my plan, we added targeted supplements, and it all helped greatly. Over time, I went from 2-3 acupuncture tx per week by multiple practitioners (yikes! & expensive!) to 2 treatments per month for maintenance and only the supplements for particular purposes. I highly recommend Christine. She really gets to know you and listens to your particular concerns, then uses scientific test results with ancient tride & true practices & ancient/modern supplements. I started going to Christine because I was experiencing severe sciatica, and my doctors weren't doing anything besides giving me painkillers. I'm leery of needles, so I was reluctant to try acupuncture, but my experience with Dao Integrated Health has been great. For the first few treatments I would limp into the office and be walking semi-normally by the time I left. Now, I'm back to walking my dog, and my pain is well controlled even without drugs/NSAIDS. I attribute my recovery to two things: weight loss (which I think the acupuncture helped with, since we worked on digestion often) and increased walking, which was too painful to do before acupuncture.
