If I could give 0 stars, I would. I took my car to Take 5 Oil Change on April 16, 2025, for a routine oil change. A little over a week later, all of the oil had leaked out of my car, and the engine warning light came on. When I contacted them, they took no responsibility at all. The manager claimed something was already wrong with my car before I brought it in and said they didn't touch that part. He showed me a video of the oil change, but it didn't clearly show what they were doing underneath the car. Now I've had to get my car towed twice--first back to Take 5, and now to the dealership. They opened a "claim" with a third-party company, but it was denied in less than an hour. They're now trying to blame the dealership where I got an oil change over six months ago. I'm now in the process of getting a lawyer involved because they refuse to take accountability. Do not bring your car here unless you're prepared to deal with major issues or end up needing a new car. UPDATE: Hi Victoria, I already spoke with the store manager, Sam, and the district manager, Edgar Casas. Unfortunately, both made it clear they believe Take 5 is not at fault and tried to shift the blame onto the Hyundai dealership that regularly services my vehicle--which is completely false. At no point did either of them offer any resolution, take responsibility, or offer a refund. Instead, I was met with gaslighting and zero accountability. I am a very reasonable person and fully understand that mistakes can happen--but denying any wrongdoing and refusing to make things right is absolutely unacceptable. I'm currently waiting to hear from someone higher up, and I will not stop pursuing this until the issue is addressed properly. If upper management fails to step in, my next step is going to the local news, and I am already in contact with my lawyer. read more

Got a Mobil 1 synthetic change. Eric was my main point of contact. He explained my options and checked my cabin air filter. Didn't end up changing it today but appreciate him checking and putting everything back together. Pleasure talking and working with him. No wait for me and got emissions testing while I was there for vehicle registration. In and out in probably 25 minutes. Also, can call into the call center or check website for coupons. Nice park nearby if you have the kid or kiddos in the car. Would just recommend to the employee taking a smoke break, please do so a little further out or downwind of the cars. This is the worst Take 5 location I have been to. I came here on a time crunch on my way out of town. There was only one other car there and 3 technicians. We waited for 10 minutes before another 2 cars pulled in behind us while the other 2 technicians were just standing around. We ended up waiting for over 30 minutes before we decided to leave. In the 30+ minutes we waited not once did someone check on us or offer us water which is the standard for Take 5. They need to change their name and their motto of "Take 5 is your go-to for quick oil changes in Houston! Our oil change service gets you in and out in ten minutes or less, and you never have to leave your vehicle." False advertising and a huge waste of time. read more

Stay away!!! Showed up at 4:40 for a "5" minute oil change with one car ahead of me and was told they wouldn't do my oil change because they don't do anything after 5:00pm. This is the second time I have tried to use this place and have had issues. Will NOT be back. read more

I waited behind 1 car for over an hour because that person could not find their insurance and they were getting an inspection. I asked why did they not have him pull around so that they could service the other customers who were waiting in line. Samuel the alleged, Manager told me that he works there and not me and that I don't know the process and would I like an application to work there if I wanted to know the procedure. He was very rude and I simply asked a question. Samuel then walked away from my car that was now on the rack and started working on another car and left me waiting more. Samuel then sent someone else to do my service because apparently he was upset with me. I have been to many take 5's and have never experienced an attitude like Samuels. If he is indeed the Manager, it is safe to say he needs more development and is not ready to be customer facing as a Manager Level Associate. read more

This was my first time using Take 5 and they did not disappoint. Jermaine took care of my vehicle and made sure I understood all of the recommendations. Considering my car has high mileage, my oil change was somewhat more expensive then usual, but I gave in and did what needed to be done. I definitely plan return for my 3 month check up. Kolby and Jesus were amazing and went beyond my expectations for what I already had. Worked together perfectly and even while working Jesus made sure everyone was attended too and even held conversations with everyone about their day and I looked down the isle and evereyeone including myself had a smile on their faces talking with jesus.. definitly a great place to get serviced read more

No one obviously wanted to work today. It took us 1h45m to have a simple oil change. Everyone working walked around as if they had nothing to do, chatting with each other, and eating pizza. The vehicle in front of me was there for a state inspection and sat in the bay for at least 20 minutes before anyone even walked over. We checked google to see how busy they were and it said they were less busy than normal, which obviously wasn't the case. They were just processing the cars slow. To top everything off, after everything was said and done, they told me they didn't know if their coolant was equivalent and said to go buy some at auto zone. I counted a total of 5 workers and it only appeared that 2 were doing any work. I would have left but cars were lined up behind me. Will never go back to that location. They were friendly... but didn't want to work. read more

I needed an inspection, an oil change, and air in my tires. I saw on Yelp that this was a good place, so coming by has been on my to do list for awhile. I had my dog in the car so was just gonna drive by to check them out but there was no line, and I didn't have to even get out of the car. No joke - 10 minutes or less for the oil change and inspection, on a Friday at 3 p.m. at the end of the month. The guys were so cool there, too. Very professional but also warm & friendly. They explained everything they were doing, showed me my clean air filter so I could see that it didn't need to be replaced (who does that??), told me how to update my registration, and even gave me bottles of cold water. They were very nice to me (and my dog!), and those 10 minutes flew by. The price was reasonable, lower than many other places I've been to, and even though I didn't use one, I see coupons for Take5 online. They actually recommended the lower priced oil change (no one does that either). I love that they didn't try to get me to spend money that I didn't need to. My usual spots would get me in with a low price, but I'd walk out having paid for "unexpected" services, fluids, or parts (or just endure the guilt trips). Not here! So, thanks to Miguel, Kirk, and Travis for making this process so much easier than it's ever been. I won't procrastinate on oil changes and inspections ever again. read more

Super fast service - got an oil change and inspection in a matter minutes, and the service techs were very friendly. Only downside- I came back another day in a different car to get an oil change and they were out of oil! An oil change place being out of oil is not a good look, but hey, in this era supply chains are all messed up so I just laughed it off and went to their location on Holcombe. read more

I came here to get my car inspected. Nice guys. Gave me water and were very polite. I had to come back and after failing inspection. That's was when it got funny. Rolled up and every guy was crowed around a single car and when I looked over, that is when saw they person in the car next to me was female. They weren't being creepy or weird mostly just talking to each other. During a recent visit for a State inspection, it took 1 hour and 45 minutes. The 3 employees spent more time walking around and visiting with each other than providing service to the waiting customers. This location used to provide excellent service, but that has apparently changed. read more

Terrible experience. The oil change took 2 hours and then the oil change light kept beeping on my way back. I feel extremely unsafe driving in the car after they conducted oil change on my car. The store is not picking up the phone to deal with the safety issues they caused for the customer. With that being said, for your own safety, find some other stores that care about their customers' safety. read more

If you have an Audi Q7 they will tell you they don't have your filter to avoid having to take the cover off. Website says they open at 7, they don't. Call the office and get voicemail that is full so you can't leave a message. read more

Came to get an inspection, they literally blocked all the entrances with cones and when I asked what I should do they spoke negatively about me in rude fashion within my range of my hearing... it was so bad I had to simply leave without getting an inspection.
