Take 5? More like take 70 minutes for an emission test. It's understandable how places can be busy-- but that isn't the problem here. It was a very poorly run process in which there are 3 lanes but waiting customers who are requesting a 10 min inspection are placed behind cars that are getting hour+ long services. It would make sense to use 1 lane for faster services that aren't taking long. Very very poorly run. Believe it or not, I had to advocate for myself to be next as there were other customers who arrived long after me who were up next due to the incredibly poorly run lane assignments. Will never ever be going to a "take 5" for any service ever again. I would recommend staying away from any of these locations. read more

This location is close to NRG stadium area. Take 5 is my go to for oil changes and inspections. They are everywhere. You don't have to get out of your car, you just pull up and they do it all. They are always friendly. Coupons can be found on their website - so don't forget to get yours before you go. As with any place, they will try to up sell you on items, filets, wiper blades etc. Just go to an auto shop and do l that yourself for much cheaper. read more

My car stop in a busy street, because they put the wrong oil on a high millage car; my car was evaporating the oil. Caused my car to stop out of no where. Not enough workers causes the few they have to do a sloppy job or they are not qualified. A whole safety hazard. Stop focusing on upselling and do the job right. read more

So I like Take 5 in general as far as this location goes - there was a HUGE line (guessing due to the popularity and the location). When I finally did get up to get my oil change done the guy asking me questions was glued to his phone and kept asking me the same questions a few times (probably would have given another star if he didn't have to keep asking me the same question). Compared with some of the other locations the service was meh. There are other locations nearby I would suggest going to instead. read more

I brought my car in for a Texas vehicle inspection. Daryl was the inspector. He is professional and quick. Unfortunately, my inspection failed because of non working light bulbs. I replaced the bulbs and returned to Take 5 for a re-inspection. Easy fix. Lesson learned: check ALL your light bulbs before taking your car for inspection. I didn't get an oil change this time but I watched to oil change techs while I waited for my inspection. The techs were all working quickly and efficiently. There were four techs. At other shops I've visited, there were usually one or two just standing around doing nothing. Here, all the techs were working hard on a Sunday! Bonus: they give you a bottle of water to keep you hydrated while you wait in your car. read more

On 11/30, I called with some questions about a car service. The representative I spoke with wasn't sure about the details and transferred me to the shop. However, after waiting on hold for about 5-8 minutes, when I finally spoke with someone at the shop and asked my question, they abruptly hung up on me. This is both unprofessional and disrespectful. It's incredibly frustrating to wait that long, only to be dismissed without an answer. I'm sure the gentleman who answered the call heard me, and it should not have been difficult to provide a simple yes or no response. I called again, but my call went unanswered. Take 5 means Take 5 hours. That's how long you're going to need to get service. Each car takes them close to an hr. I came for a car inspection and oil change, after calling before hand and asking if they had an inspector since several of the other Take 5s have an attitude and say they don't have an inspector or their machine is down. I'm from a different city and the Take 5s there have always been quick and fantastic. I've never had issues before but these are the absolute worst. Will never come back to a Take 5 again. read more

Terrible service, went in there and ask for oil change and state inspection. Then waited about 30 minutes before being helped. When I proceeded to be in line, the manager said that he wasn't going to do the state inspection because they were "too busy". Then I explained that they had told me they could do inspections since the beginning and that's why I waited in line. He then started arguing with me back and said that they're not going to do and he's the manager feeling so entitled. Then he said that they stop doing state inspections at 4pm. Which it's not stated anywhere in the facility, nor was I told before waiting in line for 30 minutes. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. I believe his name was "dean" I would suggest getting a new manager or someone that can actually address situations properly. $85 isn't exactly ideal for the kind of customer service provided. read more

They were understaffed when I visited, and they left me there waiting for around 10 minutes just for the guy to come around and very rudely tell me that he wasn't going to do the oil change because he was understaffed and sent me to the Holcome location instead ...what a waste of time save your money and time and go to the Holcome location they offer great service there. read more

I went to this location because today was the last day for my inspection sticker. I sat in my car, waiting to be serviced. It was approximately 30 minutes or a little over to get my inspection done. I went to Eric 's down the road, because I go there every year for my inspection. I wanted to believe that the reviews were not true, but sadly they were. I was told the inspection person was not there, there was one person ahead of me and it would be a two hour wait. At this place I drove right up and I was offered a bottle of water and put right in line. I was pulled up in the bay within about ten minutes. I needed an oil change so I decided to go ahead and take care of it. I never had to leave my vehicle, and I was able to sit in my vehicle and study while I waited. The price was pretty comparable to the dealership prices and I don't even know what kind of oil they give me there. At least here I get to pick my oil. read more

I visited this place 3 times and had never got my oil change done. The first two times, I was told to wait for 1.5 hours and I was suggested to come on Saturday morning 7am to avoid the long line. So I did, just to find out the gate was still shut. Then I knocked the office door. There is one very grumpy person cursed at me for "not being patient". He spent another 15 minutes just to educate me how I shouldn't knock the office door and should have just wait in the rain outside of the shut gate, which no first timer would know. I wonder why this person who works here has zero customer service skill. So I turned around and left. I will never come back. Only recommended if you want to deal with attitudes. read more
