I needed an oil change as I didn't have time to do it myself. So began my journey to find the cheapest/reasonably price oil change I could find in my area. I had found Take 5 Oil Change on google and right under the business on google I found a $15 coupon that expiries in a couple of weeks. SWEET! So I arrive and was greeted by Kyle and I asked him how much is an oil change? He said for my car I'll need full synthetic and it starts at $89.99. I said that's fine, thinking to myself that I'll use my coupon and can get my oil changed for $74.99 plus tax. I gave him my coupon and he looked at it and said, "we can't take this coupon." I'm like WTF. I got this coupon off google from localflavor.com. I asked him if he had any coupons that would be similar to that. He said no. That's when I was ready to back up and get out of there because like I said from the beginning of my review I was looking for the cheapest oil change I could find. Then he said, "you can go to our official website and look at our offers." If I was an active military member or veteran could get 25% off or ride share driver I could get 15% off." I was neither. So I had to settle for the $7 off premium oil change coupon. So instead of getting my oil change for $74.99, I was now looking at $82.99 plus tax for the change. UGH... Fine, I'll settle for that. There was a truck in the bay in front of me and it was 5 mins before they could get me in. I pull in and he asked for my mileage and said they had different types of oil and for my car they recommended High-Mileage oil which was an additional cost and the price escapes me but I wanna say it was around $110 for full synthetic high mileage oil. Again, this defeats my purpose for trying to get the cheapest oil change in the area. I declined and before you pull into the shop they have Mobil-1 oil displayed in the front. If you know anything about cars, then you'll know Mobile-1 is top-tier oil. So I asked him, are you guys putting Mobile-1 in my car? He goes "no" if you want Mobile-1 oil then it's an additional cost. He pulls out a card with the prices. Again these prices are not advertised any where in the shop it's just it's own secret pricing sheet. I wanna say to get Mobile-1 for my car would have been $120! Again, this would totally be against my goal of obtaining the cheapest oil change in the area. I told him that I'll use the cheaper oil and I asked him what was the cheaper oil? The house brand oil they use is DuraMax. Up until this day, I've never heard of this brand and I'm mechanically inclined and knowledge about oil brands. I did a quick google search of DuraMax and DuraMAX products are owned and distributed through RelaDyne. They guided me into the bay and I wanted to get out my vehicle since it was such a nice day but since I was new they needed to ask me questions to get me signed up. After signing up, Kyle has told me since it was my first time he was going to give me the $15 off! Hot Damn! I was able to fulfill my goal of getting the cheapest oil change I could find. This made me really happy. They changed my oil, filled my window washer fluid, checked my air filter, topped off my coolant, checked my air pressure, and cleaned my windshield. Overall I was in and out in under 15 minutes. I was extremely happy with the service and they didn't try to up-sell me for things I didn't need. At the end I kind-of achieved my goal. Good: -Reasonable price oil change -Quick -Good Service -You can bring you car in any time to get topped off the fluids Bad: -Oil brand DuraMax is unknown. I couldn't find anywhere if this was a good oil brand or bad brand. This is to be determined. -They need to reach out to localflavor.com and tell them to remove the $15 coupon that's not usable. -There's a shop service charge of $3.99 that's never mentioned. Take 5 Oil Change was definitely a time saver for me but I'll continue on doing the oil change myself for $50 which is what I wanted from the beginning but I paid a little extra to save some time. read more

Went here after my check engine light came on. Instead of trying to sell me on something, the techs diagnosed the problem, topped me off on oil, and gave their recommendations on what to do next. Just got an oil change. Top of the line Castro Edge full synthetic. Maybe 20 min total. Leo was the manager on duty. Everyone was polite and fast. The best it was open on Sunday! Every other place we go to like Firestone, Good Year, besides the dealer are always so busy. I don't mind paying these guys to do the same service at the fraction of the time. Needed a last minute oil change for a road trip and called for pricing. They said they charge about $50-$100 for an oil change. Found a coupon online and stopped in. The first thing I noticed was I was offered an ice water and it was a hot day. Then there was a customer they were wrapping up so I waited in my car a few minutes. Being able to stay in my car for an oil change is awesome! I waited outside for about 5 minutes while they finished the car in front of me, and they offered me a bottle of water while I waited. From start to finish, the oil change only took about 10 minutes. They definitely hustle to get you in and out. In my experience, other "quick" lube places have taken about an hour, sometimes longer! Do not go there!!!!!!!! The guys that work there are unprofessional. He lacks experience and doesn't know what he's doing. I went to go change my oil. At first they didn't know how to pop my hood and said that my hood was stuck. He told me to go to the dealer to get full service. Then I got out from my car to pop the hood again try to show them how to open. My car is a Toyota Camry, it is a pretty common car. Second of all, they drained out my oil and told me they can not open the oil filter valve. Then the guy called his boss and handed me the oil filter and told me I have go to the dealer to get full service. If I have to go to the dealer then I don't need to come here in the first place. They still charged me full price 89.99$ ( this price changing filter included ) This price is a ripoff, it is the same as full service at Toyota dealer. After everything I went to the dealer, but they refused to change the filter they have to do full service I ended up paying two times for oil change.
