Misquoted me. First $60, then $120 then j got here and made me pay $200. Made an appointment for me at 9am. Didn't get me in until 10am. Told me 1hr. Now they say it will be 1.5hours. I've been here since 855am and now it's 10:22am and they say it will be 1.5hours. Complete bunch of liars, theives and mismanaged individuals. I saw them all walking around driking coffee, laughing it up while I sat in my car waiting to start the appointment they scheduled for me at 9am. This location charges $99 for an oil change which is $30 more than Ron's and other places in the area. You can't talk to the owner about this and the guys working just say that's what we charge. read more

Unfortunately, I've had a few bad experiences at other Jiffy Lube locations in the past, but I've been stopping at this location for the past couple of years now and the service has always been fantastic. I have a fleet car and love the Jiffy Lube in CL. I have been to other vendors who have contracts with fleet car accounts and they have treated me like a loser because they probably don't make as much money vs non-fleet customers. The employees here never treat me any differently than a cash payer and they take really great car of my car. My husband comes here now for our family vehicle and he loves it! Oil change! They changed my oil, replaced burned out lights and front wiper blades pretty quickly and the staff were relatively friendly, but it didn't come cheaply!... I suppose I could righteously give them two stars not having the rear windshield wiper blade I need for my car in their stock inventory (and it's not like I have an exotic import). And so, I'm going back and forth on whether to give two or three stars... In any case, they did a good job with the oil change today, as well as and all the other stuff they replaced, but it totaled $126.64 ouch!. I'd like to add that today wasn't the 1st time I've had my oil changed at this Jiffy Lube location. Past changes were pretty good experiences, except for the price! So, okay, I'll give them three stars. And I'll get my oil changed HERE at THIS Jiffy Lube location again if I'm in the area and it's convenient... I've gone to this location twice now and I'm just so impressed with the service. Every employee is courteous and friendly. They are honest about what needs to be done and the prices up front. I was a little apprehensive after seeing this site's reviews, but was definitely pleasantly surprised. Everyone was very nice and helpful and my oil change was SO FAST! I usually wait on average 1 to 1.5 hours at the dealership and I have no idea what oil they use. I also always have to make an appointment at the dealership (kind of annoying). I was given the option of oil and also was able to use a 10$ off coupon at Jiffy Lube. I found my new oil change place for sure! read more

Went in for a regular oil change since my brother didn't want to do the oil change in the cold but I find this place a rip off in a way due to them pricing a air filter a $39.99 when in stores their like $12 -_- . The guys here are pretty sweet. Very informative and super helpful. I'm so glad this one is close to my house because even if it wasn't I'd drive out of my way for the manners they had. So nice and not only talked about my current visit but future visits and what and when anything else will be due. Really made it stress free. As a manager of a business, they were very courteous of my time and really was in and out. They communicate very well and even informed me of a mail in rebate which I was not expecting. Went in for an oil change...after trying to up sell me on $200 worth of work that I didn't need they had already disassembled my car and when I didn't buy any if their up sells, I found myself reconnecting everything myself a couple days later. Brought our vehicle in for service (oil, trans etc) and the technician failed to let us know that there was a serious issue with the car. There was just a brief comment on the bottom of the receipt. It appeared that they were just interested in selling us other services. If we would not have paid close attention to the receipt, serious damage could have been occurred. We will not be going back to them. read more

We just stopped in for a quick oil change before heading out of town. I usually get nervous about Jiffy Lubes due to a past bad experience, so it's been a while. Let me tell you, I'm impressed! We have had friendly customer service and I'm sitting here pleasantly surprised as I watch them clean my windows and vacuum inside. I've never seen an oil change place do that before. The manager explained everything and recommended things with absolutely no pressure. I kind of wish I lived in Crystal Lake so I can come here again. read more

Technician said they topped off my oil which was not ture. Unfortunately, as a result I blew my engine. I requested this top off a month 1/2 prior to my oil change due date. Jiffy Lube did my original oil change so I thought they would do the top off with no problems. I did not expect to have any issue. They sent a the District Manager, Daniel to check the problem and he said he would call me back. Its been two days and I have not received any returned phone calls. On March 11, 2018, I visited this location to get an oil change. At this time no reports were made by Jiffy Lube of any issues with the car and the oil change was completed successfully. On June 7th, 2018 my car shut off while driving. I had to put on into the vehicle just to make it to Midas. Midas confirmed that the oil was leaking from my car due to an improper oil change. I called this location and they first agree to cover the costs. I would just need to get an estimate. I took my car back to the dealership to get the estimate, and once provided to this location. They had their corporate send me an email saying they will not cover the causes. I do not recommend anyone to do business with this location. I had to trade my car in due to their negligence, but will be seeking financial damages soon. read more

The manager could not have been any less professional. I've been to this location several times with other vehicles we have. I always use the same debit card but I only run it as a credit. He did not know what button to press to run as a credit because the display did not offer an option. He told me that there is no other way to run it. I explained that I have run it before. He continuously rolled his eyes as he ran it again and miraculously was able to run it as a credit. I understand how difficult it must have been for him because he had to stand up and run it. read more

do not entrust the life of your vehicle with this store. do not assume that this store has actually performed the services listed as completed on the receipt. i have frequented this store for the overpriced full synthetic oil change, and my receipts have always shown the differentials as being checked and full. upon inspection of the plugs of my rear differential it looked to me as if the plugs have not been removed in quite some time. i returned to the store to question them about this and was told that they do not service my make and model differentials. when questioning why then does the receipt show the inspection as having been completed, i was simply told it was a mistake. that's it. so all this time, i've trusted, according to the receipt, that my car has been serviced. this is a real bullshit way to do business. do not use this store if you value your vehicle's life. read more

Fellow Crystal Lake residents, avoid Jiffy Lube in Crystal Lake. Had my oil changed there and since then my truck has turned off three times at red lights and my oil light has been on. Less than an hour ago they checked the issue and said it was fine and even showed me there were no leaks and the pressure was good. I appreciated that, however, 2 minutes after pulling out of the parking lot it begins to rain. I go to turn my wiper blades on and they don't work... I can hear the motor but they aren't working. I then have to pull over until the rain dies down to make it home. I call Jiffy Lube to see if my maybe something could have broke or came disconnected and they say "we didn't touch anything with the blades." Ya, you did, because they worked yesterday when it was pouring and worked this afternoon when they cleaned my windows. I just find it hard to believe that lightning strikes twice on one person after visiting the same place twice when no prior incidents occurred. I could be wrong though. Just my opinion and maybe I'm wrong.I wouldn't trust them to change the oil in a lawnmower moving forward regardless. read more

They were very polite and informative, caught a problem with my car but didn't push to have it fixed immediately or even with them. I didn't feel like I was being upsold on anything, and even though I have paid less for an oil change, I don't feel like I was overcharged as they took the time to make sure everything was right, and even vacuumed out my car and washed the windows. Terrible place... They are scam artists who try and trick you into getting things you don't need, especially if you're unfamiliar with cars. They also over charge on things that you initially agreed upon by adding higher grade oil, etc. without asking the customer first. DON'T GO HERE!!! Dont go here if you like your car. Took them 45 mintues to change my oil. I paid 40$ for oil change and top fluids off. I took my car to my mechanice for an issue abd he said none of my fluids were topped off in fact my coolent was really low. They tried to charge me an extra 6$ for the oil filter until i caught it on my bill. Stay away from here! read more
