Ten minutes later, he guided us into the bay. Today I visited the Take 5 Oil Change location on Clearview and West Napoleon around 10:30 AM. The line was almost backed out onto Clearview, but all 3 bays were open so the movement was as steady as it could be. I appreciated that there was a gentleman (later found out he's the manager) directing the line of waiting vehicles into lines 1, 2, or 3. There was a car in the bay and one car in front of me. I estimate that I waited about 25 minutes for my turn, which for me is not bad. It was the last task on my to do list so I didn't have any time constraints and just played on my phone while I waited. Once in the bay service was quick and efficient. Brennan was kind enough to let me know that I had some dry rot on one of my hoses, so I appreciated the heads up. Steven (Stephen?) came over and introduced himself as the manager and verified that I was satisfied with the service received. I even saw him handing out bottled waters to customers behind me who looked like they had no air conditioning in their cars. My total time was probably about 45 minutes and for my premium oil and air filter I paid about $130. Overall, I was very happy with my experience at this location and will return in the future. Came to Take 5 for an oil change and waited in line for an hour before they told me they couldn't do the oil changed because they were out of the filter needed for my car. Then the technician went on to say that if I go to the auto parts store and bring one back I can get the oil change. I was so pissed that I left rather than say "and that oil change will be free". We were serviced by Dominic and Chris who both worked on my car in record speed while still doing the job correctly. Checked everything in my car to make sure everything was working properly. Showed me my air filter that was in desperate need of replacement. Apart from the quality of work the customer service was beyond anything you would expect from your oil change. But, if I go to the dealer and bring one back, they'll install it. So, I go to the dealer and bring back the filter and wait in line, again. Oil change done, checking out, worker says $102.63. And I'm like, WTF?!? I said, shouldn't that price reflect that I brought my own filter? Worker says, oh, we don't charge for oil filters. I didn't plan on coming here because I had a bad experience at another Take 5 location. However, this was the best option for me due to Covid 19. I was able to pull right in an employee immediately offered me a bottle of cold water. They were giving all customers $10 off, so I really appreciated that. The oil change was really quick and I was glad I could watch what they were doing. When I left, my car was doing something super weird every time I stopped at red lights and stop signs. I drove back so that they could check things out. They didn't see anything wrong and told me to come back if it continued. I didn't like that response, but the issue ended up resolving itself a minute or two later. They were professional, fast, thorough and respectful. Line can get a little long on the weekends, so you might have to wait a hot minute before it's finally your turn. But once you get in there, it's as fast and painless as can be. You don't even have to leave the car! If I'm not mistaken, we asked if they service diesel cars, and they said yes. Let the 5 quarts out of the car keep the filter on. Once it's drained, add a quart to flush out the specks of metal. A rare earth magnet from home d, or lows affixed to the oil plug or the side of it right where it comes out. It acts as a "spare filter" for chunks of metal & keeps your oil filter cleaner and longer lasting. Women, put on neoprene black gloves, and your hands will be as beautiful as when you started. My experience with them is always 1000% perfect! They offer you cold water bottle while you wait, the weekend could get busy and you may have to wait a little longer, but they're energy is always through the roof!! I have never been there and seen any of them in a bad mood I love that! My daughter brought her car there for an oil change at Take 5, Clearview Parkway, Metairie, LA, store #4 along with purchasing wind shield wipers and an air filter. When the technician was changing out the air filter with force, the battery cable came apart causing her car not to start. When calling to ask the question of what happen a tech by the name Brandon explained what happen and that my daughter's battery cable was already loose because of the black tape that was holding it was coming apart. My question was and all I wanted to know how all of sudden my daughter drove in for an oil change and then not able to leave without her car starting. Brandon put me hold and when he got back on the line, he stated he review the tape and they did not do anything to my daughters' car. I ask the question, is there any way I can see the tape ...? after getting no response he then put the store manager, Dustin on the phone. When trying to speak with him he would not let me speak, he was very very very rude and stated he will not let me review the camera. I ask him if would let me speak and to not speak over me. My whole family has been coming here for as long as I can remember. The staff is always very friendly, fast, and efficient. They offer free soft drinks or bottled water while you wait and have plenty staff around to multitask and make the process as quick as possible. Just about my only gripe is the last two or three times I've been, I've been guided into a lane by a worker and it always seems like it is the slowest lane and people who come 5 minutes after me are getting their oil changed before while I am still sitting there waiting for the car in front of me to be finished.
