Went to this location after leaving the awful one on Williams took over forty five minutes they drained my oil put in the new oil a employee came back and put in six more quarts of oil so I now I have twelve quarts instead of six which is what my engine takes I requested they drained my twelve quarts of oil and put in six new quarts.They put in six new quarts and I left will never return there.I will buy my own oil and filter from now on and use a mobile mechanic to come to my house and do it.Stay away from take five in Metairie or Kenner! read more

Don't bother calling to ask for information beyond an oil change and the pricing of one despite the fact that they offer other services. Their automated system is only concerned about oil changes. I tried calling to speak to an actual person. Never got the option aside from rating how my conversation was with an agent that I never got to speak with because the automated service never gave me the option to speak to an actual person. read more

This location is slow and shows no urgency to live up to their "5 minute" name. Hell, I can do 15 minutes, but I just pulled out and left the bay after waiting 25 minutes to get in the bay and then an additional 10 minutes of waiting in the bay. I wanted to get my oil changed before having to go into work but now I'm 35- 40 minutes in, stuck in line, and have no clean oil to show for it. They didn't appear short staffed either. read more

I will never use this place again. After my last visit, I'm changing my rating to 1 star. Everything seemed fine while I was getting an oil change. It wasn't until after the fact that I realized how shabby a job Take 5 had done. About a week after my oil change, I noticed that they failed to put my tire valve caps back on my car after checking the tire pressure. One technician worked on the right side of my car and another on the left (which is the one that left the caps off). I also found out that the splash shield was missing from behind the left tire. That shield is ONLY removed during an oil change and is supposed to be put back. I had to go to the dealership and do a special order...wasting my precious time and spending money that I shouldn't have had to spend. I'm so upset because these were simple, unnecessary mistakes. If Take 5 can't pay attention to those minor details, then I don't want them doing any type of service on my vehicle. read more

I went a couple months ago and it was my first time. One of my friends said they do a good job. Honestly they were ok, but I thought it would take a lot less longer of a time than it did. When you go to their website it says "stay in your car ten minute oil change". I'd say it took roughly 20-25. But that might have been because 1) I had to tell them my information (I suppose for mailing coupons or just for future reference) and 2) he was telling me/asking me about the other things that needed to be replaced on my car. I don't think I'm the only one that hates when you go get an oil change and they try to get you to buy and add something else, but I digress. And overall for the price I'd say i could have found cheaper elsewhere. This place is also a full service oil change place I mean they check/replace fluids, check wiper blades, change oil and offer you a soda. They also have a friendly staff at this particular location. I recently went to the Take 5 in Laplace to get my oil change. I go to that one from Metairie because the people are way nicer and professional. The last time I got my oil changed, it was at a Metairie store off the service road. It was a terrible experience. I was furious because they had poor attitudes, never checked my fluids or put air in my tires. So when I went to Laplace, I sat there and talked to the manager, Taylor and she assured every thing would be okay and she would help me out. Today when I went to the Laplace Take 5, I was told by a gray shirt that she was no longer the manager there. No one there had smiling faces anymore. Everyone looked like they hated their life. I don't know where Taylor went, but I would love to hire her. She always had a great attitude, always had a smiling face, she always looked like she enjoyed her job and her crew loved her. Ever since I decided that changing my own oil was too much work when adding in the effort to properly dispose of the used motor oil, I've been using commercial services. This is one of the closest oil change shops to the house and I can usually arrange my route to pass by when it is time to change the oil. I like that I can drive up, stay in the car, drink their free soda, and they'll do everything I need, like check my tire pressure, top off fluids, even clean the front window. Knowing that I was going to write a review, today I timed the service. There was no line so I drove right in. From the moment I I put the car in park until I drove out, it really did take just 5 minutes. I know I can do it myself cheaper, but not anywhere near as fast. I'm so lazy that I love going to places like this. These are pretty standard in cities and suburban areas. Maybe not necessairly Take 5, but the idea of a drive through oil change. As with other locations and similar companies, you stay in your car the entire time, get a free soda, and leave the place in like 5-10 minutes. Provided there is no line of course. They will also check your tire pressure, oil filter, air filter, refill washer fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering. Unfortunately it's a bit pricey. I think I left here in my clanky saturn vue with a high mile oil change for maybe like $65 total. read more

For the price that I paid, I'm still scratching my head as to what exactly I got out of the oil change. $62 for 5 quarts of oil is a bit pricey... My car required 6 so okay, I can see things will be adding up here... I showed them the $7 off coupon that I found online. I have had my oil changed here consistently ever since beginning work on the East Bank. They do a great job and the price is worth it for the time they save me. From drive in until drive out, for an oil change, the longest I've waited is approximately 13 minutes ( what with them fetching me a Diet Coke and all). In fact, I've come here before during my lunch break and it's worked out just fine. The service is great; everyone works here is polite and respectful and isn't trying to get you to buy a bunch of shit and spend more money. I dig that I don't have to get out of car and end up waiting over an hour, like some other establishments I could name. I also don't find the price to be all that different from oil changes I've had in Mid City and Uptown, for my high mileage change. These guys need to pay attention to detail. The last two times that I went here they have failed to reattach the air cleaner assembly properly. If you just want an oil change Only this is probably not a bad place but they fail in every other area.
