I had been here before and received excellent service, but the amount of times I've been have been subpar more often than not. Today I was greeted with a bottle of water and then waited my turn in a lane. The time came for me to pull forward and the gentlemen asked for another car and I to trade places and for me to wait more. The other car had waited longer than me. That made sense, and also, it didn't. That has happened to me before and I had to wait. Then, the car in the far lane who arrived after me pulled forward to receive service. It's ironic that this place is called Take "5" unless the five is in "45". Yes, it took 45 minutes to get a quick oil change with no frills. Now I'd usually say these guys are pretty quick. I've used them for years and get in and out in about 20 minutes. No idea what was going on yesterday. They had plenty of people working so they can't say they were understaffed. Maybe all new employees? Anyway, they did an "ok" job. Oil changed, fluids and air topped off. They didn't clean the windshield (didn't they used to do that?) and left oily handprints on my hood. I used a $20 off coupon so it wasn't a bad deal but I wouldn't have been happy if I had paid full price for this experience. read more

This is my first time using Take 5. Usually I'm a little skeptical of using quick oil changes because I'm used to go to dealerships, and our known mechanic but I'm new to the area, and needed my car taken care of. I stopped in yesterday, and they had me in and out within 20 minutes. Raul was absolutely amazing. He walked me through the prices of everything, and didn't try to oversell anything. Which I APPRECIATE. Then Chris is the one that took care of my car. I didn't talk to him much but when I did he was kind! Loved my service, and will be back again every time. I've had previous experiences here before that we're not five star worthy but yesterday was. Quick service, went down the checklist, and actually checked my tire pressure and mentioned they'll check the cabin next time I didn't have a passenger which I've never heard before but pleased. Paid for a premium oil change. First off, they tried to charge me for an oil filter on top of the posted price. Then they couldn't check the oil level in my car because it's digital, and they didn't know how to do it or use Google. Then they couldn't reset the service light (google again). They tried to convince me that I needed a new air filter. It did not need changing. When I asked him to just blow the dust off with an air hose, his response was "that just makes it worse" and stuck it back in. Cmon, $110 for a "premium" oil change with all the bells and whistles, and this is how I get treated? Not good service at all for the price! read more

I came here to get a full service oil change for my 2019 F-150. They are who I've always used. I waited for about an hour to an hour and a half before they started in my truck. A few minutes in I heard them talking about a major oil leak. They ask had I had any service done to the truck k. I said no, not since y'all changed the oil 8 months ago. They refused to change my oil bc they said i had an after market plug. They said they had never seen anything like it before and they don't have one to replace it with. I said but y'all changed it last time and the truck hasn't been touched by anyone since then: they still refused. So I ask for more information from the guy helping me so I could tell my husband. He was being very nice and trying to help me understand so I could half way tell my husband what was wrong. The manager there heard him giving me details and said "don't explain it" the attendant stopped speaking. I told the manager I was trying to understand so I'd know what to tell my husband. I also said my brother owned the truck last year before he passed so idk what he did but yall were the last ones to change the oil for me. The manager said my brother replaced the plug with an after market plug. The manager never said why they changed it last time except that they were under different management. Another attendant that had been u see the truck said someone must have went ahead and changed my oil and didn't notice it was an after market plug. So they said I had a major like leak. So that tells me if they changed my oil last time and everything was perfect and they changed the after market plug then, THEY are the ones that caused the major oil leak. Went in for an oil change and it wasn't busy. At all. And yet the kid doing my oil clearly missed some parts because I drove down the interstate and had my splash/oil shield drag the entire way. Not exactly happy to have missing parts on my 2019 Honda. If I were you, go here if you're in a hurry, but CHECK the work because this is just a careless mistake. I come in the mornings around 9:30 usually. Never really had to wait, they always have at least one bay free or almost free, and if they don't have all employees there yet they are very attentive and begin explaining everything they do so you aren't just killing time and waiting. Of course they upsell air filters and additional services, but also offer a free bottled water while they work. All employees are very polite and honestly funny! They communicate well as a team and the efficiency shines through in their services! One employee even came to offer me some Christmas candy to take with me! (my fav, Reese's) They make appropriate conversation with customers and have great attitudes!!! I much prefer coming here - even when I do have to wait, or the service is a bit slower, because I think this is a good place to support local. My fiance went to get an oil change on 8/5/2021 at this Take 5. This place was so unprofessional. He only had the truck for 5 months, This truck was perfectly fine before he went there with only 160, 000 miles on it. We got up early on 8/6/2021 to leave to go on vacation and truck ran hot on us, leaving us stranded in Asheville until the next morning when we could find a towing company to transport his vehicle to the shop which was almost $200 .Low and behold they didn't tighten up his oil filter and now he need a motor. He would never ever recommend this place to anyone . He called and talked to the manager and he said it wasn't their fault. How come it's not? Decided to take my car to get an oil change , when usually I do it myself . Service was fine , until I overheard the employees say " IvE NeVeR WoRkEd On ThIS TyPe oF CaR BeFoRe" and then it was downhill from there . They tried to inform me that my air filter was dirty and needed to be changed , even though if you know cars this really doesn't matter when it comes to your oil life. In addition to this , an oil change that took 5 minutes took a total of 35 with four different people looking at my car. Then the worker proceeds to tell me my skid plate is broken when it what's perfectly fine when I arrived . Worst 70$ I've ever spent . Took my vehicle to Take 5, which is an hour drive for me. I took it here Bc they say they check all fluids and top them all off. They checked that they refilled my windshield cleaner , which was bone dry when I took it in. The next day, I needed to clean my windshield, and it was still bone dry. It was checked off on the list as being filled. I would like to know how I am supposed to know now, was everything else changed and added to as they said. Excellent customer service from the initial greeting and reassurance to the hood down "You are good to go". Very impressive to watch this team methodically do everything from cleaning your windshield to checking tire pressure along with changing your oil and filter and topping off your fluids. I observed that after all the work a second person checks that everything is correct. I like that they show you the dipstick after filling. Best oil change experience ever. Even the scanning of your VIN and the computer telling them which filters and exactly how much and what kind of oil to use, shows a lever of professionalism I have not seen outside of a dealership. read more

Ok, so to be fair, the wait time was not bad at all, got in and out in 15-20 minutes. Now here comes the things that they claim to have done but did not. First off, the guy doing my payment said, "I did the safety check already." He did not do a single thing besides watch YouTube clips and collect my payment. On my receipt it says, "windshield wipers cleaned" but wasn't. I had to ask them to clean it. It also said "windshield wipers checked" which was also not done. Also, I had to ask the guys to reset my mileage on my car because I have been to many express oil changes, the first thing they do is reset it. Finally, the guy gave me the sticker and didn't put it on my car. But to be fair, could be a covid thing. All in all, I would not recommend this place unless you're in a hurry. If you are a female or any living human being I would recommend you NOT taking your car to Take 5 oil change. My wife took her car there and asked for the same oil change she got there previously ($39). She even showed the guy a text from me saying to make sure it was the same price as last time. So what did they do .... charged her $67 for the synthetic blend instead. Not to mention that's too much for even a synthetic blend. So I called and he was able to verify everything I just said, and acknowledged everything that was asked for by my wife. His mechanic even quoted the text saying to make sure it cost the same. And verified that we paid $39 the last time as well. His response.... sorry, I can see how that would be frustrating..... Talked to his "district manager" and didn't offer to change anything just agreed it didn't seem right. This is just another case of someone taking advantage of a female...... lost my business for life. On top of that the last time she took it in they didn't reset her oil life gauge and put that her next oil change was needed in less than 2k miles from that date. Terrible place. I never review but this place made me sign up. I took my girlfriend's car to have oil changed and noticed an oil leak. I returned the car to find out from employee that the oil plug was not even tightened. When I went to this unprofessional establishment I asked to talk to the manager who had no back bone and never even apologized for my inconvenience. I love that I don't have to get out of my car, was given a free soda, and had my oil changed and tire pressure checked before I could read a page in a book I had in my car. If I could give negative stars I would I was faithful to take 5 went everytine odometer hit telling me to go. But on my last trip there I do if maybe somebody had a bad day or just simply forgot. But my radiator cap was left off. Resulting in me loosing all water and fluids and over heating I called and explained they came right to me to help. But only a few days later my car blew. I called and had it towed and contacted take 5 to let them know what happens. They went to shop and checks dthe car later contacting me letting me know they could not fix it bc it blew due to running out of water not bc of oil. But for $1500 they would be more than happy to fix it for me. Well wait it ran out of water bc you forgot the cap not anything I did wrong why should I pay for it.????? Well now I cant get a response from no one so please feel free if the car is worth the risk of loosing bc they moving so fast they forget things and have no reguards to fix their mistake !!!!!!!! read more

Great place to get a fast and thorough oil change. Very friendly staff. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, and fluid top off is free whenever you need it until your next oil change.
