Buyer Beware: Shady billing practices!…read more I went to this urgent care when I was on vacation in Illinois. They accepted my insurance, which has a $35 urgent care copay. When they submitted the claim, they submitted it, not as an urgent care visit, as advertised, but as an out of network doctor's visit. Aetna has an urgent care billing code, which this facility is aware of, and they choose not to bill as advertised, causing me a significant out of pocket expense. When I called them up, they offered to send additional documentation to Aetna, which Aetna agreed to consider when re-evaluating the claim. They never sent the documentation, instead opting to send my inflated bill to collections. I'm livid. If you want my unsolicited advice, find another facility. Run far, FAR away from this shady 'urgent care'.

Google search brought me to this location!…read more As I just called about a few minutes ago to get a price quote on a facial extraction for a POC. The RECEPTIONIST answering the phone proceeded she would connect me to someone who would be able to give me an estimate pricing... Great! After waiting on hold for about 8 minutes, she's re-answers the phone to inform me that the other department is not responding at the moment! She then proceeded to inform me she will connect me to the "billing department" to get the answers I needed. Another 2 minutes go by, then a gentleman introduces himself.. I proceed to re-explain my current inquiry! He tells me that he has no knowledge of the service pricing I am requesting! "WOW.. okay." He then tells me he will transfer me YET AGAIN, to the "financing department" to get help with my inquiry. Another woman has now introduced herself, and I then tell her my inquiry request yet again! She does a search for me and tells me that the service I am requesting cannot be located in their system and only to find out that I was also transferred to a "Wisconsin" department. I give her the doctor's name of interest, while she tells me she will put me on another brief hold to find the direct office of said Dr. ( in Gurnee ) As she tells me she will contact them, she re-answers the phone to inform me that the service ISN'T EVEN offered by the requested doctor as google stated! So.. why didn't the receptionist just say that in the first place, rather than playing phone tag increasing my already "frantic" anxiety about finding the right Dr. SMH

I used my insurance companies website to contact the office. There were two numbers to call so I called the first one. That call lasted about 5 minutes and concluded with me having to tell the receptionist that I would try to call the office cause she didn't know what she was doing. I called the second number and got a similar person. Same call center. Seemed like people that weren't willing to work for much, my guess was the company tried to save money by not hiring people with appointment setting abilities. Doesn't seem like it would be that hard, but I guess we all have our limitations. Anyway I set my appointment up for the same day. When I showed up to the medical center, they told me that my appointment was scheduled for the day after. I was livid, but the staff was nice so I was as polite as possible. I asked to speak to the manager to let her know that the call center did a less than desirable job. This is where it went down hill again. I wasn't going to come back the next day, but the manager kept insisting I do. She was not a pleasant lady, very condescending actually. The only point I tried to make was that the call center didn't do their job. She kept defending them, never apologized for her company wasting my time, and kept trying to schedule me for a physical. I was just a customer looking to be heard out, I ended up having to walk out after realizing that this person that is supposed to be representing her company didn't care for how I felt, furthermore dismissed my issue. The Dr.s may be great there, but I'll never take the chance to find out.

Very impersonal, and nothing is one on one with the doctor. You always have to jump through hoops and get redirected with an incompetent customer service rep or a child medical assistant asking/reading about your personal health instead talking directly to your doctor. Anytime I do message my primary about a health concern I get met back with "Go to immediate care." This is very sad how you guys turned into another corporate sell out and don't take your patients health and confidentiality into consideration.

I saw Dr. Tiffany Nguyen who promptly told me I had a cold and would not be prescribing antibiotics. I needed to "wait it out" for a few more days and if I was still sick THEN she would call in an Rx. I had already missed one day of work. I've had countless sinus infections in my life. No way would I have wasted half a morning at urgent care for a cold. She acted like I was trolling for Oxy and did not even look in my nose. Had she done so she would have seen the bloody, pus-inflamed tissue I had been dealing with for nearly a week. She did prescribe Flonase - and on the Rx flyer it said "do not use if you have bloody nose." Nice doctoring. I called MD Live when I got home, got a Rx for antibiotics and felt relief after only 24 hours. You know why? Because I had a sinus infection. Not a cold. Then I got the bill and was charged for a 30-44 minute visit. (Be sure to read your EOB statements, people). I spent MAYBE 15 minutes with the actual doctor. I then decided to dispute the bill. After painful attempts to get a human on the phone, I finally talked to someone who said he would pass on my comments and have the bill reviewed and someone would get back to me with the "verdict." I asked how I can make sure my comments get into the record and he said he didn't know, there should be a place on the portal for feedback. I said there wasn't - the portal is for med refills, appointments, and billing. Which they should know. So I had to rely on him to take down my comments. Three weeks went by and I got a second notice on the bill. No explanation, no "verdict." I called again. The person I spoke to said the bill had been reviewed and it was accurate. When i asked why I was billed for up to a 44 min visit they said for "Doctor decision making." Are you kidding me??? I said I wanted someone else to call me back so I could file an actual concern. A lady named Suma called me and took my information but ended up passing it along to yet another person. A third person called me at the beginning of May, whose name I forgot to write down, of course, apologized profusely and said she told me she would look into the bill again. I told her I paid it because I didn't want to get sent to collections. So she offered some kind of refund, and asked me to give her a couple weeks and she would get back to me. Soon after I got a message through the portal saying they were reviewing my bill again. It's now late May and I've heard nothing. I replied to their note asking for my update, and got a response that basically said "Nothing to see here - bill is fine." I responded back that I wanted a human to call me pronto. This shuffling around, lack of documentation/passing along information, poor care by the doctor, and overbilling is totally unacceptable and I will keep continuing to call and reach out until someone actually does something instead of passing the buck. Bottom line: if you have a virtual doc through your insurance, use it instead of urgent care whenever possible.

Zero wait time, issue was quickly diagnosed, treatment explained and completed in short order. Nurse Practitioner Sarah J. was pleasant and clearly explained what she was doing and the issue was cleared up immediately. I will definitely go back when it makes sense, as the 1-3 month wait offered by Northwestern Medicine was not acceptable. In my view Minute Clinic (at least this one) is the future of medicine... Thanks Sarah! Note: I was kind of surprised at the number of 1-star reviews but realized that it is true that customers who are happy with the service are less likely to provide a review than those who are disappointed. Really, 1-2 bad reviews per year should not dissuade anyone from visiting any place that deals with a significant volume of customers....the 98% of the folks who are good with the service or product are less likely to write a review...

A year ago plus, my father was having Difficulty with swallowing and kept choking when he ate anything. His hmo insurance was not great and to do an upper endoscopy with dilation in the hospital would have been $5000 out of pocket!!! I took him to Dr. Deyrmenjian and explained our situation. The doctor was so understanding and kind, he offered us a very discounted cash pay cost to do the procedure in office. He took excellent care of my father during the procedure and checked on him after. With routine daily medication and the procedure, he no longer has the difficulty Or choking with swallowing Food. Following this, my husband was having the same issue as my father off and on. Finally decided enough was enough and we went to see Dr. Deyrmenjian last week for consultation. The doctor scheduled him right away for the following Tuesday to perform the in office endoscopy with dilation and even came in on his off day to do it. He is efficient in doing his procedures and explains everything and provides reassurance when needed. The procedure was successful and we were in and out of the office. The office staff including front desk and his nurses are wonderful and friendly. I would definitely recommend Dr. Deyrmenjian for your gastrointestinal needs!
