When one calls an ambulance, it usually takes you to the nearest ER. Unfortunately for my sister,…read moreshe lived closest to NWMed. She had strained her shoulder and back reaching overhead. They admitted her to the ER, then placed her in their Oncology dept. because she was six years post cancer diagnosis with no new cancer. Ten days later, she died from pneumonia and "malnutrition ". Do not take your loved one to this facility. The nurses were good. The attending MD's had zero bedside manner. I was told we had three days to move my sister to hospice or they would remove her!And after two days, while we frantically called every hospice facility on the hospital's recommended list,Dr. Fortuna and their hospice coordinator, Noreen, became rude, borderline aggressive, w/lharassing me about moving to hospice. The last week of my sister's life had little dignity. It was unnecessarily stressful.A minor observation: their bed linens were ripped and disgusting. And no one should encourage a dying woman to get some rest while leaving a bright fluorescent light on her face!

Who had been sitting there the entire time! Calling it Poor care quality is being polite. I was there almost two hours and we left because they would not say if it would be 10 minutes or 3 hours. But No one was being seen except the 96 year old who threatened to leave. Went home called an ambulance. They gave meds and IV bag. They took her back to this hole and they set her in the hall . We left. Don't bring a dog to this place! Special shout out to the emergency room receptionist, she certainly wasn't a nurse (no nurse would ignore two people in distress, who are writhing in pain!) . FU. And the nurse who FINALLY GOT OFF HER ASS to help the 96 year old man , hope your parents end up with a similar care giver. How do two sleep at night?

I was trying to get to see another doctor but was then randomly called several months after scheduling my appointment with that doctor to be told that she is not accepting new patients. So I was instead scheduled with Dr. Rodriguez, as she had an immediate opening, so I took it. Check-in was simple and can be done online or in person. For the appointment itself, the doctor was late by about 20 mins. Once she arrived, we discussed my issues, and then she went through a checklist of various tests and things, asking when the last time was when I had those done. She checked a bunch of things off as we went through and then eventually ordered an abdominal ultrasound, blood and urine samples, and provided a referral to a dermatologist and my OBGYN. I did not want referrals for other doctors, so I didn't like that too much. I've already established my OBGYN, and I am not interested in visiting a dermatologist at this time. I wanted to focus on the issue at hand, so I didn't appreciate that part of the visit. Overall, though, she was knowledgeable and was able to put a rush on the tests that were ordered. I think going forward, as long as she is not too pushy with referrals all the time, I'll keep seeing her for the time being.

I lost my only child almost 5 years ago. I struggle falling asleep every night. After trying many medications, Xanax was the only thing that helped me. I was taking a low dosage before bed so I could fall asleep. She refused to give me a prescription for it, but instead referred me to a "sleep study". A sleep study!! I know why I can't fall asleep!! I asked her if she knew the trauma I've been through!!! She said yes, put her hand on my shoulder and asked "do you have other children?" What kind of a doctor says that to a grieving mother? She did not show me any empathy or seem to care for me at all. I will never step foot in that office again. I since have found someone who truly cares about my wellbeing. The star rating was required!!

Met with Dr Outzs who is family practice & a sports Dr. Checking in was Easy, the staff were very friendly & engaging. I waited less than 5 min. Triage: weight, stats about your health & why are you here today. Dr Outzs was very nice. Q&A was friendly & information was great. He listened to everything I said intently & offered guidance. Finding a GP I'm comfortable with is important. So glad I found one of the good ones. If looking for a good Dr with a caring heart, he's my recommendation.

She saw in what kind of state I was but took 1/2 to have me sign 10 pages of paper and make sure she gets my payment! Since I hadn't met my deductible, I had to pay $500 just because they took my blood pressure and prescribed something that didn't help! I had a back/leg pain that I was literary bent and they couldn't give me the right care! Didn't take any MRI or x-rays. The first night they gave me a medicated pad (salonpa)and I asked for a 2nd one, they said "you can buy it from the pharmacy)"! Mind you they meant the CVS or Walgreens at 10pm. What a shame to have medical professionals who don't like their job and don't care for people. I hope none of you ever need to go to the ER. I place St. Joseph and Banner way above them, though that was 12 years ago and maybe that has changed too

Dr. Kim, was, absolutely, WITHOUT a doubt a lifesaver! I literally can not thank the Banner University Surgical Team, Dr. Kim and Anesthesiologist, Jack and RN Amber- enough!! This was an amazing Team of PROFESSIONALS and I was in at 0530, and out by noon! Allow me to specifically recognize a few people here, the building and process. The Anesthesiologist: Jack was from the VA, and came in to greet me and speak to me about the entire process. His calmness, astute professional and caring demeanor was top-notch! You CAN NOT get a better Anesthesiologist IMO. When I came out of surgery, I literally felt like I took a quick nap, and was energized, non-drugged and felt the best I've ever had in the 14 surgeries I've endured in my life! Thank you Jack!; you really did an incredible job! The attending RN: Amber. What a sweetheart! Absolute golden personality, caring, graceful and funny! thank you Amber for your generous approach and humorous start to my day! Surgeon: Dr. Sunchin-Kim. Here, it has to be said, I CAN NOT recommend Dr. Kim, ENOUGH. He's straight to the point, extremely well versed in the HoLEP procedure and I remain, 100% approved of his care-taking and surgical process. I walked out of the hospital in less than 6 hours, with major surgery accomplished and felt amazing. I applaud you Dr. Kim for booking my procedure, and taking care of my issue prior to a cancerous outcome! The Building: Impeccably maintained, extremely clean and easy to find my surgical section. The surgical room is STATE OF THE ART, and not a single thing in short supply. The surgical room looked like something out of Star Trek in high-tech components and monitors! Thank you in the deepest sense to Banner University for Dr. Kim being on your docket for surgeons. 2 weeks post surgery, I stand firm in this assessment, Banner Surgery was a perfect experience for me! I absolutely, without worry highly recommend Banner for surgery in the Urology department! Much respect to the people that make this happen each and every day!

I was advised, my next pregnancy would be high-risk and need to be seen asap. April 2026, I had a second miscarriage waiting for a response from the staff. They offered contraception knowing my goal was to conceive. The bedside manner was absent. June 2026, I had an ER visit outside of Banner for severe abdominal pain and suspected etopic pregnancy, advised to be seen within 2 weeks with my OBGYN provider. I call to make an appointment, scheduled for the following week! What a great experience!!! NOT EVEN 30 minutes later I get a call from the office stating the appointment needs to be rescheduled because that provider does not specialize in miscarriages and the appointment needs to be rescheduled. I was offered an appointment with the "resident clinic" instead of my established provider. Why would I want to see a different provider every single visit instead of seeing the provider that knows my history?? Where is the continuity? AND IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH THE "hospital follow up appointment" was scheduled 2 months out while I'm still in constant pain.
