Yolanda was more than helpful facilitating my order - she was exceptional when it came to updating me with proofs, print dates, ship dates etc. The team at LA Signs had my order printed, boxed up and shipped a full day earlier than their initial quote (which was a rush order anyway). At the end of the day, the client was happy to receive their tablecloths (which were excellent btw) given such a short time frame. That is on them and yet they asked me to pay more for their mistake. They also did not mention that they would refund only after a couple days of opening the poster (during the hectic conference). Then they wrote that they would not refund for a poor quality poster with grommets eating the end of the posters and creating wrinkles. Whatever suits them to keep customers' money, after they failed to mention their 'policy' of 2 days for refunds before I paid them. I used them for several years and recommended them to other academics. But their refusal to refund and poor quality force me to look for other businesses.

We were having trouble finding someone that would touch our project - or not charge an arm and leg for it. So I decided to broaden my search. A simple yelp search brought me to Andrew's. I called them up and asked to speak with someone that could quote my project. First thing the gentleman asked was, "Where are you located?" When I responded, he snapped, "Nope, too far away. Won't do it." After reassuring him, we were less than 20 miles from his place of business, and offering to drive to him myself, he replied, "Nope, that would be silly. We won't do it. There are plenty of sign shops in your area." So naturally I asked politely if he could recommend some. Instead of replying with something like, "Sorry, I am not familiar with any by name," he snapped again, "Nope! Not gonna bother." At this point I was pretty annoyed, so I sharply questioned, "So you are just going to turn down my business just like that?!" A simple, "Yup!" response and I hung up. I can barely handle people that are stupid, and can't interact at all with people who are stupid AND rude. I should have asked for a name, but I think it is safe to assume I was talking with Andrew. So, Andrew, when you read this: Congrats on your business model, I am sure it will take you places. Just and FYI for those who read this: I work as an Art Director, so I deal with a lot of people in the printing industry - I have dealt with your typical old school, battle hardened curmudgeons, but this guy top's my sh-t list.

They did a wonderful job on my cafe and were a pleasure to work with; professional, timely and reasonably priced, Ismael (the business owner) came out to take measurements and discuss design, then we corresponded over email about the quote. I ended up paying less than I thought I would, and less than the other 2 sign painters whom I interviewed quoted me. The whole job from quote to finish was done in about 4 days by him & his worker, Max, and I love my sign. I'm glad I listened to him because my initial design, while it matched my business cards, was a bit too complicated and the lettering was too small for a large scale replication. He helped me tweak it to fit the size & texture of my building and I couldn't be happier. Now, 2 years later, my sign still looks good as new and I've recommended him to several other business owners on my block who are also quite happy with the work he did for them.
