He's friendly, reliable, professional, and his finishing skills are off the charts! For one of our projects, we contacted multiple contractors to find someone who could install trim under stair rail caps on an angle with bullnose. Everyone kept saying they would need to cut at a 45 degree for the bullnose and put a ton of caulking to fill the gaps. They also said it would be easier to use trim without a profile. The whole house has bullnose with profile baseboards cut at 22.5 degrees over the bullnose, so it would have looked weird to have the stair trims with no profile cut at 45 degrees. Well, Wren did it how we wanted it and it looks amazing! We had 2 days worth of various projects and each project was completed with amazing attention to detail. Beyond Builders and their staff were communicative and understanding from start to finish! In our initial meetings with Josh and Tomoko, they carefully listened to our desired outcomes and focused on staying within a set budget we were comfortable with (cuz economy's tough y'know?). Once the contract was signed, 3D designs were promptly drafted which gave us several options to choose from, they guided us through obtaining required items for the material list, and once everything was ready a start date was set. They were very patient with us, we never felt rushed, and our desired outcomes were always prioritized. Junior and Ming were the leads on the renovation portion, and MAN do they work efficiently! They said it would take two weeks, and they finished in two weeks. One thing I appreciate about their crew was the communication on progress and collaborative questions. For example, before installing handles on the cabinets they would ask beforehand how we'd like them placed. They always made sure it was being made the way we wanted. At the end of the renovation, the kitchen felt like something out of a movie set. As you can tell in the attached pictures, the before pictures (green, walled) and after pictures (open, white countertop) is night and day. They were doing such a good job that I had to request a change order to install a new vanity in our bathroom to replace the old one haha. All in all, Beyond Builders was a pleasure to work with. Isamu Construction renovated our kitchen literally from top to bottom. Timothy is the consummate professional, with the work ethic and integrity of a samurai, seriously! His goal is customer satisfaction and he achieves this with a high standard of workmanship while keeping the cost extremely reasonable. At one point he insisted on matching the kitchen flooring with the living and dining room floors. I thought it was unnecessary and costly but his sense of aesthetics prevailed and he managed to get hold of the original flooring company and bring it in from the mainland for a cost equivalent to what we paid years ago. Amazing! He and his team went above and beyond what was expected so we could have a kitchen to enjoy for many years to come. Additionally, when he says to call him if any issues arise after project completion, he means it. A few months after the renovation was completed, one of the handles on a cabinet came off--this was not due to the installation but rather a faulty handle.
