This place is a nice small restaurant surprise! We had the queso with chorizo and bean dip appetizer. The chips were amazing, authentic corn flavor but light and airy. Both dips were very well balanced with the chips. I had the al pastor fajitas. The onions and bell peppers were so well toasted/charred that they were sweet and savory. The al pastor was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, perfect smokey spice pastor flavor. My husband had the pac-man tacos (3 meats) and corn tortillas. He said the tortillas were just like his abuelas and the meats all blended well together. My son had the chicken tenders and fries, same as any other kids plate. The wait staff was great. Prompt, courteous and fast. We sat outside and it was a bit chilly, the manager quickly offered to turn the patio heater on. Our new favorite little place! Can't wait to try more from them. I ordered the Chile relleno Tako and it was cold in side, I had to tell the waitress, she did order me another one.. when I received the new one it was over fried. We tried to order spicy cauliflower for a appetizer after ordering it and waiting about 10 mins the waitress came back and said we don't have that right now. We ordered chips and chorizo cheese, and bean dip and both were served cold, and this was not good. I would not go there for the food. Maybe some drinks. read more

Heard great things about this place, but sorely disappointed. To start off with, we ordered chips and salsa as an appetizer, but never received it. However we were still charged for it and had to ask the server to take it off. We had also had to remind our server that we ordered chavelas, and never received it. When food came out the pescado tacos were very soggy, and the fried shrimp tacos still had the shells on them. When we let our server know that we bit into the shrimp tacos and got all shell, she tried to tell us that is a standard way for them to be cooked, in case guests want to take the shells off themselves. Really?? Because every other taco stand I've been too in Yuma NEVER have the shell still left on shrimp. We ordered the kids cheese fries for $7 and asked for them to put a FEW pieces of carne asada on the top of them and were ultimately charged another $7 for that. $13 total for some small kids cheese fries with some carne asada on top? For spending just under $100 for less than mediocre food, we won't be returning. Better to stick to the taco carts on 8th st! read more

This is their guacamole with pomegranate and queso fresco, which really works well. My husband and I were impressed as soon as we walked in. Nice atmosphere and the nice grill smell was so inviting. We tried their asada, pastor, cabeza and pork belly. My favorite was the asada which is made with angus beef. They have a unique take on tacos and best carne asada taco in town. If you're in the mood for desert try the Goodnight Kiss Tako, which is a deep fried tortilla with cream cheese and raspberry filling. Soo good!! read more

Well, today 3/26/2019 we visited takos and beer, at first we didn't know if it was sorta of a tex mex food or a taco stand place, well its neither but it has all the flavor. As i browse through the menu i found 3 items that caught my eye, the1500bc taco, the Langosta a las brasas taco and the Pulpo a la Plancha taco. 1. The price for each taco is intimidating at first $6.95 for seafood, $4.50 for other menu items tacos 2. It is WORTH THE PRICE!!! 3. And with those 3 tacos is more than enough! The Langosta taco is one of the best ones I've ever had the black beans with it go by and by. All in all, we will return the waitress was more than nice always a smile and recommending other stellar food, she got me to try the 24hr costilla taco and the Chicharron taco. The 24hr taco has a strong flavor, but it has good flavor. And the chicharron is was good in salsa de tomatillo and spicy which both are my favorites. Keep doing awesome dishes and i can't wait to return and try the Corn on the cob that was highly recommended by both the waitress and other customers which overheard it was our first time there. 5/5 place. read more

Great place! Good food, nice salsa bar. They didn't have the Manta that I was hoping to try, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for next time. I love the fact that you can get any taco lettuce wrapped. The seafood tacos here amazing. My personal favorite is the pulpo (octopus), the cook on it is always perfectly tender on the inside with just enough crispiness on the skin. If you don't mind spending a lot of money on small Takos .. this is a good place. Place is nice inside, modern and clean. Service can be better, waitress didn't seem happy to work there. I had a mantarrya, an octopus, and a pastor tacos, they were ok. I would not recommend the octopus or lobster, too expensive for mediocre taste. We had an AMAZING dinner at Takos and Beer the other night! I don't eat meat besides seafood and their lobster taco was to die for! The octopus taco was amazing as well and my partner really enjoyed his chicken and steak taco trio. The drinks were delicious, their deals are fabulous and our server, Natalia, was exceptional. Went for lunch and the food was really good. We had the street corn, guac, and a few of the tacos (ate it all, so you get no pictures #SorryNotSorry). Service was good, just a little slow because she was the only waitress working. We are not picky eaters, but Yuma hasn't given us anything to be excited about when it comes to eating out. We had a great experience here! Had dine in service with Eva as our server. She was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Also had a very happy personality and was easy to talk to. The food was outstanding! Everything was fresh and perfectly sized. My husband ordered the 8 taco sampler. Each taco was a bit smaller than than a traditional street taco, but perfectly proportioned to eat 8 of them! They had run out of the carne asada steak and he opted to leave it to the chef to substitute. Chef chose wisely! He sent the 24 hr pork. It was melt in your mouth delicious! The flavors were delightful. I had the lobster taco as well as the gator taco. Each was perfect in its own way. The lobster was so rich. The gator juicy and flavorful. I enjoyed the lobster so much my husband ordered one as well. Also had the Drakula app. A bit messy to eat, but so good. The balsamic brought out the flavors of the veggies. Also had the pork quesadilla. The cheese itself was flavorful, not just a bland cheese product with no flavor. The pork was tender and juicy. They have outdoor dining for anyone who doesn't feel comfortable indoors right now. Very nice fire ring going as well as heater lamps. Would highly recommend Takos and Beer! We went for brunch/lunch and everyone enjoyed their meal. They were having a special on Mimosas which were delicious. Our family of 4 ordered eggs Benedict, tacos, French toast and mini corn dogs. Against my wife's wishes I have tried to like this place since they opened. Who wouldn't like a place with the name of this spot! Service ain't the best. I have no problem paying a little more for a quality product. This isn't anything special. A lot of tap handles on the wall that would lead you to believe there tap list is special. Lol it's probably the worst I have seen of a spot that "prides there self on beer". Laughable. Bad service and mediocre overpriced food. I'll pass and go to the other 100 taco places in Yuma with better service and reasonable prices. read more
