Marty and his team rescued our stairs!!…read more When we purchased our townhouse earlier this year, we had no idea what lurked below the carpet on the 125 year old steps (the treads were decaying and actually coming out of the wall) We did a ton of research before hiring Marty and his team, and it was clear they were the ones for the job on a historic property. Even before the project began, Marty provided an incredible amount of time and expertise that helped us get the project going, guiding us through everything from wood selection and preservation of historic value to safety protocols and the production timeline. While it took less than three weeks to replace the two main flights in the house, the end product demonstrated care and master craftsmanship, as ever single tread had to be created by hand by Marty's carpenters to follow the century-old curvature of our stairs (nothing factory produced). We came home to an almost spotless house (I couldn't find dust anywhere) and two staircases that are the most solid structures now within our home.
