We learned about Spookly the Pumpkin and enjoyed the most amazing pumpkin popsicles on the planet. We came back this month for the Blueberries. SO FUN. Yes, wear boots, especially after rain. The property is luscious with trees and a creek. They also have bee hives you can observe (from a safe distance). The blueberry popsicles are amazing. All four flavors of Spring popsicles were delicious. We had a popsicle "flight" and tried them all! Restrooms are porta-potties with a hand washing pump sink, so come prepared with your little tot oxo car potty if you're like me and would rather take littles to the car to potty. The owner, Jill, is such a gracious host. She is delightful and enjoys meeting everyone! We got my Dad a block of blueberry fudge, and he said it was the best fudge he has ever eaten (which is saying a lot!!!) This is our new "happy place" for a Fall and Spring excursion to enjoy the seasonal delights of pumpkins and blueberries!!

non-gmo, soy free farm eggs. a friend of mine told me about this farm and the lady who owns it,…read morecindy (and her husband but i didn't get to meet him). she used to let her chickens roam free but the coyotes started eating too many of chickens so she now keeps them in a large coop. she feeds them non-gmo, soy free feed. she sells them $5/doz or you can purchase a $45 punch card up front which will get you 10 doz eggs. she also sells duck eggs at $8/doz. the farm itself is really neat. along with her chickens she also raises alpacas. as i drove up, her and her husband were out on the farm fixing something and interacting with the animals. it was a really neat setup. cindy is really friendly and will answer all your questions you may have about her animals and how they are responsibly raised.

Whoever thought of making this garden in the Parks and Recreation department deserves a round of applause. C'mon on out Leslie Knope! The garden is very charming and will make you feel like you just fell down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. It provides the perfect locale for a small photo shoot, picnic, or small garden party. I came here in early April which unfortunately is either too early or too late in the season as many of the rose bushes weren't in bloom. I definitely want to keep tabs to see when the best time would be to come to see it in full bloom. Aside from the Rose Garden, this park also has a nice pond/canal, a large playground, and a short trail that offers lots of secluded picnic tables along the way. I'm certainly no expert about parks, but there are certain parks that you go to for different things. Some parks are great for cookouts, some are great for exercise or walking, and some are excellent for festivals or large events like concerts. This park is superb for picnics. There are so many quaint areas here that are ideal for getting out the picnic blanket and basket. Or if you just want to spend your lunch break eating outside with a good book, there are plenty of picnic tables to choose from that provide the serenity that you're seeking.

It was a super cold day but because of the wide variety of tropicals the green house stays warm and toasty. There were a couple of people working and I was immediately greeted by a woman near the front door (I unfortunately didn't catch her name) and the most adorable doggo. Do not bring food unless you're willing to share or you'd like to bribe for the company. I had leftovers from Soirée down the street in tow which resulted in a sweet shopping buddy. Anyway, their plant selection is MASSIVE and I didn't go in looking for anything in particular and left with two new plants and a new human friend. They have the basics all the way up to the trendy like the Giganthus (pictured) and are super knowledgeable and willing to help with any of your plant needs. Even for some good advice on how to ACTUALLY use that banana water without killing my plants. Point being, I'll be back. It's a cool place.
