    Before and after!
    McKenna K.

This is what salon and hair dreams are made of!! I had my appointment with Caroline at the Draper location and WOW. Let's start with the salon. It's truly beautiful. It feels spacious and airy while still being totally private for each client experience. The aesthetic is definitely modern minimalist with a warmth that feels so welcoming! Just by the atmosphere alone I knew it was going to be a great experience. Next, the client experience. I have been to many great salons and stylists, but the client experience at Tallulah East surpasses them all by a long shot. Caroline and I spent nearly an hour discussing every aspect of my hair from past color/treatments all the way down to what kind of hair brush I detangle with. I've invested a lot of time and effort into my hair care so it was a dream to be able to get honest feedback from a professional who cares about my hair goals as much as I do! That being said, if you are a starting from ground zero with your hair care routine, you are in great hands. Caroline was able to evaluate everything we talked about to recommend products to help me get my best hair ever (She delivered!). When it comes to my hair I've never felt so heard and more importantly, understood. Last and certainly not least, my hair!! I have medium thick, mostly straight hair with a slight wave. I also have previous lightening throughout. My dream hair looks bright, blendy, natural, and allows an easy, low maintenance grow out. She considered everything I said along with all the inspo pics I showed her and decided on a custom color strategy to give me exactly what I wanted. The whole process included high quality lightener, Olaplex treatment, an all over gloss and a subtle smudge root to give me that easy grow out. The result?? The most beautifully done hair I've ever had! I don't know if pictures can do it justice. I had my appointment a week ago and I still can't stop staring at my hair. After taking her recommendations to try a new hair treatment and switch shampoo/ conditioners my hair has literally never felt or looked better. I can't say enough good things about Tallulah East, especially Caroline. She is a true gem. I can't wait to go see her again! Thank you thank you!

Loved my experience at Tallulah East Collective (Draper location). It's easily accessible off the freeway and I loved that the booths aren't all right next to each other, it allows you to not feel like you're screaming over everyone else trying to have a conversation with your stylist! Also the chair for hair washing was so nice and SIGNIFICANTLY more comfortable than the regular ones that hurt your neck. 10/10 experience. My stylist was Lucy Wilkinson - she did such a beautiful job coloring my hair. I don't know a lot about hair color/how to describe what I wanted but she was able to get me to my dream color by asking questions and going through photos with me! I've had a few bad experiences with coloring my hair in the past but Lucy made sure she got me what I wanted but also was careful not to damage my hair! I also have really thick hair that takes a long time/is hard to do and I feel Lucy's attention to detail was more than I could have asked for!! Couldn't recommend her more.

Caroline is an absolute dream to work with. I'm low maintenance when it comes to hair but she turned my blonde goals to reality without needing much input from me, other than wanting to go brighter and cooler with my already natural blonde hair.Dare I say she might be the blonde whisperer!! Not only that but she has the patience of a saint, powering through a 6 hour!! marathon to foilyage and babylight, tone, treat, cut and style my super thick hair 2 ways so I could see the color straight and done up in waves. So much dimension! From start to finish, explaining the process and the chemical reactions shampoos and such can do to hair and other maintenance tips (I guess I'll buy that blowdryer now) She did such an amazing job that my grow out might mean it'll be awhile before returning but I will definitely be back!!!

First off, the salon was super cute and everyone there were friendly and professional! I made an appointment with Addison Paige to get my hair done. I typically don't get my hair done, so it's just been long and flat. I've always wanted it to have more dimensions and I got that with this appointment. I had asked her to do a blonde balayage with ashy tone, and she delivered! Addie exceeded my expectations on this hair appointment. She took her time and really listened to my concerns regarding my hair. She trimmed, colored, toned, root shadow, and Olaplex treatment on my hair. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER (and that's an understatement). Thank you, Addie for making my hair dreams come true!

Saw Katie for balayage and cut. She did an amazing job. She took time at the beginning to discuss my hair goals and even provided recommendations for hair care. Haven't been this happy with my hair in a long time! Highly recommend!

Micheal was awesome! Super nice and easy going. Great stylist! One of the first haircuts I have…read morebeen genuinely happy with!

it seems she has been trying to delete my original review so here's a new one…read more first of all i am honored to receive the famous "hope u heal" line u reserve for all ur bad reviews. guys this is an example of her condescending tone since our original call. i also want to say that although i do think Ariana's read on the situation was spot on and perfectly articulated, i had absolutely nothing to do with it. she is a complete stranger. if i were recruiting people to leave reviews, u would have more than just one couple things in response to ur last message: - a haircut this bad should be obvious to someone claiming to be a professional. - I dont think being a loyal customer entitles me to a refund, i think a bad haircut does. - i only mention being a recurring customer to emphasize 2 things-- the way you treat loyal clients with a **good track record**, and lost revenue for a business who *themselves* stated cannot afford a refund. - I was very careful to specifically not use the word shelf and that was intentional. - Ive had big short hair, i've had two wolf cuts, & i know how to style it. I would never request a jelly or anything resembling one. ever. (not that that's what this is) - I didn't request a blow-out. I was OFFERED one. Maybe it's not something y'all should offer in the first place if u will blame clients for accepting and use it to deny refund. - I wasn't shown the back of my hair, esp. not in final form. being in front of mirrors does not change that. this is low IQ. - I nearly accepted ur "resolution" bc u gave me no other option and i was genuinely trying to work with you. but ultimately, like i tried explaining on the phone, it would not have actually solved anything for me. simple as that. - yes actually... I did leave satisfied.. bc I didn't notice? and it's almost as if... that's the whole issue ???? hello ?? i want to make it clear that although i was preparing for a chargeback, i remained very polite and still tried my best to resolve this directly with the salon. i even tried to meet her halfway by suggesting a partial refund but she was not making the same effort, and became progressively rude. It's clear we're operating from fundamentally different premises. maybe that's the root of the problem here. Your position is that there's nothing wrong with the haircut itself and that I don't know how to style it. ok, I'll bite. for the sake of argument, let's assume that's true.... It still doesn't change the fact that this is objectively not the haircut I asked for or agreed to receive. on that basis alone, I am owed a refund due to service not as described. it doesn't matter if u think u can "make it better". improving something bad doesn't make it good, just makes it less bad. if you had any ground (or documentation) to stand on, u wouldn't have lost the case. having a "policy" does not mean you can do whatever you want. There must be exceptions for certain cases when mistakes are made. and you need to have discernment to know the difference from when someone's abusing the system. but that requires competency (in your field and in life), humility, and good faith. when a customer has been wronged, the burden should never fall on them to figure out a resolution that works for the business. It should be the other way around. why do i even have to explain this. If I were in your position, I would be mortified to hear a customer had this experience. my priority would be to understand what would make the situation right for them and do everything reasonably possible to make that happen. I personally would have offered a refund AND an adjustment. But ironically, that means taking accountability... fortunately for all of us, u have proven it yourself that you have never been capable of this (just a quick search to see how you respond to every bad review on here and Google) and to assume premeditation/malice is a really disappointing take on this situation and makes zero sense. why or how on earth would i plan to have a bad haircut? but if that's what were doing, i can do the same.... maybe you offer blow-outs for plausible deniability on haircuts gone wrong? maybe i wasn't shown the back on purpose so i wouldn't notice? i agree there are no winners or losers here, because at the end of the day i'd rather have my hair than a refund. but because i was so polite throughout the situation, you took advantage and at the end basically shoo'd me away & expected no consequence. the last text message you sent me speaks for itself. even a stranger was upset for me. by the way... I reiterated my points via email, not to rehash anything, but to have it all in writing for the case :) i've attached photos of my original review from Google, KJ's response from Yelp, and Ariana's review as well because it tickles me and they threatened to take it dow.
