What a great experience. This was the 4th ride with Tally Ho and loved it as much as the 1st. Ursala, our driver was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable about the city which added to our experience. Ursala was professional, courteous and very personable. She handled Fusion (our amazing Clydesdale) like a pro. Our guide (Debbie) did an amazing job of balancing the historical content, while also letting us enjoy the quiet ambiance of the Victorian neighborhoods. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. We book the tour for 11:30am on Feb24th2024 and we arrived about 20 minutes earlier. The weather forecasts cloudy starting from 12pm. When we start our tour, It's almost not raining and from 11:46am, there is no rain at all. But the carriage was equipped with a roof all the way to the end. We asked the driver to remove the roof since the roof blocked most of our views along the route. The driver refused to do so. She told us it's company's rule to keep the roof even it didn't rain at all once you began the tour. This tour route wasn't good as well. I don't think the tour worth $345 cad +tips($50 cad). Never recommend the tour to any one. If you want to enjoy the city view of Victoria, go public tour bus. read more

We were only able to take a half-hour this time but it was still very informative and fun. A Horse Named Nick Tally Ho And away we go! If you have never been to Victoria, like me, this is a great option to take a tour of the downtown and immediate area. It runs in the street just like the cars. Our hostess was great and gave us detailed and interesting information about the town and sites. We even got details on which buildings were haunted! $55 will get you a 15-20 minute ride that is very relaxing. It also gets you stardom as all the other tourists flash their cameras at you as you pass by. It also gets your kids a chance to pet and feed a very beautiful horse. Most importantly, it will be a memory for your kids that will last a life time. I cannot remember the name of our hostess. However, ask for Nick. Nick is a grand horse and a grand host. He is calm and gentle. He rides smooth and handles traffic, barking dogs and other obstructions with great patience. He is one beautiful guy. I am a fan! read more

Can't believe there are no reviews for this Carriage-Ride service! Some of us touristy-types went so far as to meet online to plan a carriage ride with this company, via our cruise ship arrival. We decided to share a ride, and it was a wise and fun decision. We opted for the Premier tour which was a good hour and a half. For around $50 each, four of us shared a ride that took us through a beautiful park, pretty houses, fisherman's wharf, etc. Archie (our experienced horse) and John (our experienced driver) were total pros who led us gallantly. Archie could have probably done it alone, but John was full of interesting stories! This is very much an enjoyable way to see some of this gorgeous city! read more

We booked the luxury tour online last minute as our cruise ship was scheduled to make a stop in Victoria the next day. I was a little concerned because the policy said that cancellations had to be done within 24 hours but I wasn't too worried because our ship had been on time to every port so far and I didn't think we would miss the tour. The next day we woke up and the captain on our cruise made an announcement that while we had been sleeping there had been a medical emergency on board and the ship had made a 4 hour detour to take the passenger landslide for medical care. This detour now would put us arriving in Victoria at 11 PM. I was worried that the tour company would not refund us because we were not giving them 24 hours notice, however when I emailed the from the ship they were great about it and gave me no problem or hassle. I'll definitely be coming back to book our tour when we come through again. 5 stars for great customer service! read more

After researching, I booked the Premier tour a couple of months before our cruise, as a separate ride after our cruise excursion. Tally Ho was quick to respond to emails and their website shows how well their horses are cared for. I allowed an hour between the end of the excursion and the carriage ride. Due to our excursion being an hour behind schedule, we were a few minutes late arriving for our ride. No worries, they had held the carriage for us!! We had Elliott as our driver and Clay as our horse. Clay was a great horse! Elliott was very friendly and knowledgeable in sharing his obvious love for Victoria- I'd highly recommend him as a driver guide!! We learned so much about Victoria! Well, we really didn't intend to go for a horse ride but the kids saw it and thought it looked cool. So we broke down and "ponied" (LOL) up the cash for a 15 min ride. $55 gets you 15min tour around the main drag of Victoria. If you tip nicely you might get a wee longer tour. Our guide was super friendly and not overbearing with information. Just let us enjoy the ride - it was nice. They take credit cards and if you plan ahead (24hrs notice) you can get roses. My boyfriend surprised me with a trip this last week in Victoria! Neither of us had been here before so needless to say we were both excited to explore this amazing place! As soon as we got off the ferry I saw that there were horse drawn carriage rides. I quickly looked them up and found a Groupon with Tally ho and purchased it. We chose to do the 45 minute tour through Beacon hill park. It was such a great experience our tour guide was very knowledgeable in the history of the city and gave us advice on some other great attractions to visit while we were there. I will for sure be back and next time we will do the night tour option instead. read more

Once we got to our check in, we were met by our driver, Katelyn. We had pictures taken gladly and then off we went. Our tour guide was very informative. Our carriage was clean and the horse was well taken care of and at all time we felt like the driver and horse were a team, both were working together to make our expereince as special and as safe possible. What an awesome experience in an amazing city. Our horse, Sarge, led us around the town and through many beautiful areas. We opted for the 90-minute tour and were not disappointed. This is a great, relaxed way to explore Victoria, especially since we only had a few hours in the city. Only negative was getting to the tour, which Tally-Ho can't control. Shane and Thor took us on the tour of Beacon Hill Park. The tour was 45 minutes long. Shane started our tour by taking a picture of us in the carriage using our phones. As we toured the area he pointed out heritage homes and told us stories about Victoria's heritage. He told us stories of Emily Carr as we passed her homes. He pointed out unique trees and told stories of who planted them. We had an awesome time. We didn't expect to be told so much. It was way better than we expected. read more
