Cream puff, chocolate topped cookies and cappuccino

Again, absolutely one of our favorite spots. We're addicted to this cream puff that you can see, along with their cappuccino.

Newer bakery in downtown Summerville. There's 2 sections to the place. One side is a small shop that sells olives, meats and many other things. The other side is more of a cafe feel with homemade pastries, desserts and coffee. The decor was beautiful and there were cute little nooks that had some seating. My husband has celiac so it was nice to see they had some options like the GF Ube cookie which was actually really good. I liked that they had little handles on the espresso cups! I thought the pricing for the pastries here were pretty steep for the area we were in. Some of the small ones were about $4 each. Overall it's a nice vibe and they had good variety.

    Tomato focaccia!

I was excited to try the fresh focaccia and tomato bread! However, once I got home and tried it, was disappointed. The bread lacked any flavor, was dry, and very greasy- to the point of soaking the paper bag it came in. I might be spoiled with better focaccia, but not from here. Friendly service and nice location though.

The coffee and cake we tried were amazing! Be sure to go early if you're visiting on a Saturday, they were sold out of a ton of items by 11.

Walk in - you'll be glad you did.

Another wonderful Talucci's Bakery experience: authentic Italian pizza and live music just outside in Summerville's Short Central. Thank you Jacklyn, Charles, and your family for sponsoring the Southern Songwriters Festival. Our community is so advantaged by having you here.

We heard the rave about this new bakery/coffee place and decided to make a drive from West Ashley but let me tell you, this place worth the visit! Such a cute place with plenty of Italian bakery and I ordered the Dubai chocolate cookies, it is a bit pricey ($8) but it was so good. I also bought the loaves of bread, my kids really love it and iced coffee latte. I am very particular in ordering my bread and pastries because I want to make sure they don't use enriched flour (We try to avoid anything that has folic acid added to it) and I spoke with the owner/baker and he showed me the flour that they used, which is Italian flour without all the nasty stuffs and imported directly from Italy. This place also has quite selection of Italian goods, sandwiches, and cozy area to hang out while you are enjoying your coffee/dessert. Talucci's is definitely a MUST place to visit!

We were celebrating and wanted to try Talucci's for that authentic Italian bakery experience so we took the drive to Summerville on a weekday afternoon. The case wasn't full, but they still had plenty of offerings. Since we don't get out this way and were excited to try it, we may have splurged a little. We spent a little over $100 and left with a grocery bag of baked goods and a couple lattes. We had assorted Italian cookies, creme brulee, a lobster tail, cannoli, and more. Everything ranged from pretty good to excellent. With the prices being what they are, I think it's best to find the unique items you love and stick to those. Out of all the cookies, the ones I'd come back for were the pignoli... they were phenomenal. of the larger items, the lobster tail with pistachio creme was the winner. The creme brulee and cannoli were good, but nothing special or that I couldn't get for less elsewhere. That being said, the excellent items were totally worth it and I'll be back for more. I'd also love to try the sandwiches on the deli side and the focaccia pizza. Bonus that the place feels old and cozy inside and offers a wide selection of imported snacks and drinks. If I lived close by, I'd be there all the time, but to come from Park Circle it will be a treat from time to time.

What a treasure to find this Italian bakery and cafe. There's a lot going on in there. Deli, pizzeria, pasta dishes and more. They have pistachio croissants and lobster tails, and affogato. The interior is quite charming. So happy to have this place nearby.

So great to stumble upon an Italian bakery in downtown Summerville! So many choices! The desserts are so delicious looking it's hard to choose. All we tried were delicious. The service was fast, even though the line was long. The display cases are clean and nicely arranged. They also had a coffee bar and a little store . The ambience was great too! Really glad I found it .

This was to be a passion fruit pinwheel, but it was mislabeled I guess. We enjoyed a delicious Apricot Pastry

We lack a traditional bakery in this area, and while I don't live in Summerville I was happy to find this place. Worth the drive and we'll laid out. Customer convenience was thought of. You can go down the whole line of goodies and pick what you want, no craving over or around customers, just a straight line through. We were able to select a few nibbles before checking out. Attached is a deli type place with a shop full of European goodies. Lovely spot.

    Rum Almond Crossiant

Yummy! We tried the everything bagel with cream cheese and rum almond croissant. Both pastries were very yummy and fluffy. When you come in, they have all of their pastries and desserts on display in one line. They have a separate counter where you can order coffee and espresso drinks. Everything looked very yummy and we would've loved to try more so we will definitely be back! They have an area where you can sit with tables, which is nice and cozy. *Note the counter girl did make me aware a lot of their pastries have nuts if you have a peanut allergy.*

Cafe style Italian bakery with a plethora of options! House made chocolates, pastries, and more. They have separate lines -- one for coffee, one for treats. This is a nice concept, so you're not waiting in a long line for one or the other. Chocolate muffin was rich and sweet, moist with melt in your mouth chocolate on top. Jay and Kaylee were so sweet!

My family loves this Italian bakery. We're from Philly where South Philly houses all the most amazing Italian food: Italian Market, Termini Brothers! This bakery is a slice of love from home. Just beware the lack of posted prices. Dangerous when you're hungry.

This cozy little spot, sits in an older plaza off Old Trolley Rd in Summerville. The owner couldn't have been nicer. We got a peanut chocolate pie that was just so good. The peanut butter filing was rich, and the crust was more like a chocolate brownie. We also got 2 chocolate chip cookies. The cookie was large and dense, which we thought was perfect for sharing. The center of cookie was loaded chocolate, and was just so good. We are sure to go back and try some of the other options.

I also ordered a latte and was excited to see they use king bean for their espresso, which is a really good local brand. The only thing I didn't like was the Torani syrup for flavors. It's a personal preference as a former barista, but making your own syrups or using Monin tastes better in my opinion. I ordered a whoopie pie as well to go and it was good. It was pretty sweet and large so it took about 3 days to eat. It still seems like they are working out the kinks as a newly opened business. I look forward to this fall holiday season and what they will come out with next!

Plus a lot of the bakeries in the area close at 6. So I found Sweet Dreams on here and decided to give it a try. I called in an order around 5:45 and had fresh cupcakes and still warm from the oven cookies at my door by 8pm. Needless to say it made his day and I was more than impressed with everything. We ordered a sampler pack and had her pick out a variety for us. We ended up with some cinnamon things (yum!), apple supremes (husband's favorite so far), and several types of cupcakes as well as some warm chocolate chip cookies. My favorite is the chocolate cupcake. I've had cupcakes from some of the best bakeries and this one is right up there with them. It's moist, it's light, it's rich but not cloying, it's super chocolatey and it's just the right amount to satisfy that chocolate craving. I'll have to add more to my next order because my son claimed one and then wanted a bite of mine too! We still have a few more things to try but I expect they will all be just as good. She does take credit cards, you can pay ahead by phone or at the door, perfect since I rarely have cash on me anymore!

At 5:00, STILL NO CAKE. My mom calls, the cake is ready but they can't deliver it, we can come pick it up though. My mother and one of the hostess' go to pick up the cake, which it turns out, is NOT READY.After waiting another 20 minutes, they are finally able to return with my cake. Of course, at this point, it's nearing 6:00 and the majority of the guests have gone home. The cake itself was a disappointment as well. The fondant was cracked and didn't cover the entire cake. The hummingbird cake was dry and was supposed to have cream cheese frosting, it had vanilla buttercream, and it tasted like the blandest carrot cake in the world. The chocolate fudge cake was supposed to have chocolate buttercream and instead had vanilla buttercream. When my mother asked for a refund for the $85 cake (a reasonable price for a cake of this alleged quality), the bakery ladies only had $35 in the shop. Rest assured we'll be back tomorrow for the remaining $50. Go ANYWHERE else, as bad as my experience was, my heart goes out to the bride who expected her cake to be delivered after mine, which they were still working on when my cake was picked up.
