This is a quiet little place located just behind the Holiday Inn express. It's French, but it's delicious and I don't mean that in a bad way The servers are exceptionally friendly and they aim to please. Great service, good selection, tasty food. Keep it simple with a ham and cheese sandwich or go a bit more complex with a Croque Monsieur. They have limited seating for dine in, however, I had no difficulties in finding a seat to enjoy. They offer free refills on your coffee and also have free water (and fruit-infused water) if you are dining in as well. The food reminded me of France. Not that I'm saying this place is an amazing French restaurant, however, it does mirror a nice French cafe. We came to town for the SEWE festival and stayed nearby Saveurs du Monde. I stopped in each morning for coffee and breakfast. The cafe has fresh baked pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and a nice selection of coffee. The pastries were fantastic and fresh. The coffee was tasty and they were happy to make it how I asked. Unfortunately, this will be the last time I eat at Saveurs due Monde. My colleagues and I have been visiting this location for almost 6 years now and we have all noticed a decline in quality of food, portions and service. Previously, we would order a meal and the entrée was served with a small salad or fruit side. Our coffees were served in cute latte mugs that were generously sized. Today, my colleagues $16 quiche was not hot when it was served and she had to ask for it to be reheated. My coffee was served in a chipped coffee mug and I paid almost $5 for a basic drip coffee. This spot is a disaster and they are taking advantage of people with their pricing. Don't waste your money. read more

Great service, per usual. Blueberry scone was delicious!! Perfectly sweet and just the right amount of blueberries. It has a sugar crust on top that adds a little crunch to it, just *chefs kiss. Macchiato is served the real way -- espresso, little bit of steamed milk, & foam. Don't expect a cup filled with milk ha. Plethora of pastries, coffee, and treats. Went here for brunch and I was really impress with their pastries and food selections! The lady behind the counter was so sweet and friendly. She brought sweet pup treat for mu friend's dog and she even accomodate us to sit inside (my friend's dog is a small dog). I really like the inside of the restaurant , I love the hanging plants and the inside is very spacious. I had chocolate croissant, nutella eclair, and rhocos (its like fancy and delicious reese cup) they all so delicous. My friend ordered their french toast and it was delish too. We also ordered coffee late and machiato and they were perfect! I will deffinetly coming back to try other pastries :) read more

Just left hear. The two guys at the counter were clueless. Ordered two large coffees with oatmilk and a mocha, and a couple pastries for $35. He asked if I wanted regular milk in the mocha and then made it with oat milk. Then I had to ask for the coffees. He handed me small cups. I asked for the larges. Then they only had enough coffee for one. Then he started to make more but it would take twenty minutes, so I left. I so hate auto tip at check out. They managed to swindle an extra few bucks out of me. Worst service I've had in a while. read more

This is a hidden gem you would never know was here because it's tucked away on a side street by the Joe. Great French food, pastries and drinks. Service is great (both here and Mt P). Ambiance is nice with windows all around, so it is nice and bright and cozy. We ordered at 12:10 PM. It is 12:55 PM and we still do not have our four sandwiches. There was only three people in the entire establishment the entire time we've been waiting. Luckily, we had great conversation which kept us entertained for 35 minutes until we asked, "Are we gonna get our food?" I needed coffee and a quick bite before getting on the road for the day...but I don't like fast food. So by accident I found this spot near my hotel... I was in the same area earlier in the week for a mani/pedi and hadn't seen this spot...but the location, the quick service and crispy croissant were just what I needed. I don't know that all the fillings in the croissant were fantastic, but they were good enough and HOT. I like my not food HOT. I don't know that the serve yourself coffee was what I was expecting or hoping for, but I was able to get it quickly and sit outside while I waited for the rest of my meal. I had a number on my table, and quite quickly they brought me my classic croissant. I ate it and finished my coffee and was able to just up and leave. So for the convenience and the hot meal, it's a strong 4! I don't know how French it is. I'd come back and try some other items. read more

Delicious and off the beaten path. My partner and I came in for a late breakfast and each had a quiche, which were wonderful. I also ordered a waffle with topping and fruit, and was pleasantly surprised by the portion, and especially the lightness of the waffle. It was the perfect mix to keep me full until dinner. I was missing the French café back home in Arizona so my husband did some research and found this little café in Charleston! We stopped by mid-morning and it was the perfect time to visit. We ordered and had our brunch within minutes of sitting down. The apricot danish was delicious- it was warm and melted in my mouth. My husband ordered the french toast with strawberries and chocolate sauce. He stated that the French café back home served better french toast but this was still pretty good. I was on a short trip to Charleston and was staying at the Marriott right next door. Looking for breakfast, Saveurs came up as the closest cafe. I'm super happy we stopped in. With greenery and sunburst chandeliers adorning the ceiling, there is a trendy and modern ambiance right when you walk in. I had a chai latte (very good) and my fiancé had a coffee (also very good). We split a croquet croissant for breakfast, which was delicious; it came with a side of fruit and the plate had decorative garnish (a nice touch). I thought I had previously left a review, but perhaps I did not. The food was highly average and my aunt and I both felt like we've had sandwiches and Paninis at Panera that were equally as good. We went in at lunchtime and they were not busy. I think the thing that annoyed us the most was the person who took our order asked us if we wanted "fruit or chips" with our sandwich, so we chose the fruit. After we sat down and we were looking at our receipt, we were wondering why our lunch was $60 for two sandwiches and two iced teas. And then we see that they charged extra for the fruit like four or five dollars per serving. Price on food are already high enough that I don't like it when I feel like I'm being gamed to drive the ticket price up. There is a subtle difference between asking a customer if you would like to "add fruit or chips", versus would you "like fruit or chips" with your sandwich? Even the intonation can suggest 1) it comes with it versus 2) it's an add on. She clearly made it sound like it came with it or we wouldn't have even ordered it. When she brought the food, I inquired as to the extra charge on the side and she said "oh no it doesn't come with it. Everything is all a cart here." So I told her that she should tell her customers that when they're placing the order, not imply that it comes with it. She just said sorry and walked away. The right thing to do at that point would've been to take the fruit and offer to refund us. We could say "don't worry about" it or "yes, thank you". Overpriced, average, will not be back. read more

Really cute little cafe in downtown Charleston. I ordered the pain au pecan and almond. It was really good! Get it warmed up! The dough was flaky and buttery and it had a lot of pecans and almonds on top. I also tried some of the quiche Lorraine. It was the best quiche I've ever had! The only thing saving this review from the one star required is the food! I had a fabulous crepe and the croissant was also good. Unfortunately they were out of a lot of drink options so I didn't get to have a drink. But, The location and space is convenient to where we were staying at the Holiday Inn. The service here is AWFUL! I don't know if it's just this city but this restaurant was no different, the attitude of Erik behind the counter was like we shouldn't even be there along with the dirty looks that were given to other customers that ordered before us. If you are going to be the face of the company the least you can do is be a good human being.. I would take my business elsewhere. read more

When we arrived the counter person said they only have those randomly and it's "hit or miss" to get one. Super disappointing but we ordered pastries and an avocado toast. The superb coffee and crispy galettes were the highlight of our stay at the nearby Marriott. Galettes are crispy, savory buckwheat crepes, a specialty of the Bretagne region of France, and these are the only good ones I've found anywhere else. read more

Nice to see the reassuring green that is Saveurs du Monde French Cafe & wine bar in Westedge. Located in the same complex as Publix & The Woodhouse Day Spa. Having frequented the original in Seaside MP and also BelleHall MP it was nice to finally try the Westedge location. As expected it met its standards and then some. We sat outside in the comfy green chairs enjoying the sunshine, watching the world go by. Drinking coffee and partaking in some decadent pastries. What more could you you ask for. I loved that, in this very busy area of the Medical District, a parking garage exists in the WestEdge building and the first two hours are free, with plenty of spaces!! So go and support local while at the same time enjoying exquisite French Fare presented impeccably. I love Saveurs du Monde.. you will too. read more
