When locals in the food scene suggest a place, I always listen. Quick, affordable and tasty. I will be back

Delish! Now the Crepe Bistro Truck is at the Farmer's Market in Vernon, BC. The market is Monday…read morefrom 8 am to 1 p.m. And on Thursdays at the same time slot. We had a ham & cheese crepe and Nutella crepe. Yummy! Coffee and sodas also available. I'm not sure if they tweet their location during the rest of the week but that would be a great way to let people know where they'll be located and when.

I was anticipating trying out Crepe bistros crepes as we have been on kind of a crepe quest…read morerecently . First off we have seen and heard the self promoting videos and I decided I would give them a break and see how the were in person . My wife was not optimistic at all and she proved to be right , fake arrogant (with a french accent ) lol is what comes to mind. But that is not what this is about, this summer we have tried to taste the crepes in most cities we visit, and this was what this visit was about . So far this spring summer we have hit Victoria, Vancouver, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary, as well as a few festivals and events along the way . I have one overall global message !! Put some food in your crepes people, make them worth while to buy they are an overall delicious dish. It is starting to seem these mobile crepe concessions are in this because they can make these cheap and fast..... they take that concept even further. Back to the Crepe Bistro. These guys prices were some of the most reasonable and had an ok selection . First crepes we had were savory they were OK but the salmon was almost non existent , they were paper thin slices . The very selective placement of ingredients, were more seemingly as to quantity rationing more than building a (Best Crepes in the world). We ordered them watched, paid, then he tried to charge us again. He actually had a little argument with his wife in french... lol. I asked them what was up and he thought we never paid and she was telling him we had . We sat down and coffee with this very mediocre bland crepe with very little substance in anyway. My crepe had an interesting combination of blue cheese some nuts and spinach and thin apple slices my apple slices had the sticker stuck on them all . Wife's crepe was actually not too bad , it was a Buckwheat gluten free savory. After our coffee and sitting for a while, we decided to try some sweet crepes.Going back up to order she was going to re charge us for coffee. This whole event was kinda funny. It really doesn't seem like his wife wants to be there at all .. LOL Sweet crepes were worse. Half a banana and my Nutella had been warmed up and there was a very strong melted plastic taste, I think it might have been the plastic bottle being heated up, ruined the whole crepe . The Whipped cream seemed thinned down somehow or something was wrong cant put my finger on it . Zero flavor and had no body to it even though still being cold. Wife's crepe was strawberry with Chocolate. One Large and one Medium sized strawberry to be exact,,,,,,,, LOL The thing that we were most disappointed about was the hygiene. She was touching Everything,,,, NO gloves the whole time. Handling Money, slicing food, talked on the phone, back to the fridge, Went out side moved chairs, back in, no cleaning of hands . She actually went to the Public Washrooms they had at this dog show they were at and washed the food containers then brought them back in,,,, He was a little better overall , but was playing around with everything like cameras on the ceiling, the point of sales i pad, cleaning up checked the money drawers, then went back to making crepes no gloves no cleaning of hands . Overall the crepes were OK in some regards But the whole experience was a mix of funny and frustrating. Overall I found him to be kinda pompous
