They may have changed the chef because we visited this restaurant last fall and enjoyed the meal. We even told the server we will definitely come here again when we make our annual trip between Bc and Alberta. Unfortunately this year when we visited this restaurant in late March and now again tonight, though the server was nice, ( different lady) the food was terrible. Very small portion for a high price. We tried tomatoes beef on rice in March and Cantonese chow mein tonight. Both were below standard. Sadly we are not coming back to this restaurant for sure. read more

On a stopover for a night we visited this place with high hope to get something really flavourful and perhaps a bit spicy. Not so busy when went, but filled with Chinese diners and perhaps visitors. The waitress staff could not understand the concept that we were vegetarians and some vegans. On asking if which noodles had egg, she had to call the owner manager. She was much better and suggested a few dishes. Ordered some Hot n Sour Soup, Mushrooms Egg Foo Young, Vegetarian Noodles and Fried Rice. The soups was more sour than hot. The canned mushrooms and bamboo shoots didn't help. The kids loved the Mushrooms Omelette (Egg Foo Young). The rice and noodles bland and surprisingly under flavoured. The service was good and thoughtful. The inside not so pleasant. read more

We were dropped here by a tour that had ordered us a set meal. It was a huge plate of rice, broccoli with chicken, fried tofu, and some salt and pepper shrimps. Nothing fancy, but nothing too bad. It was a nice plate of warm food after a day of traveling. I couldn't finish my plate as it was a lot of food. This is probably the worst Chinese food I ever had. When I walked in the restaurant , there's some kind of weird smell (Like stinky socks). It feels like we walked into a 1980s restaurant, the decor is so outdated. It really turned me off when I saw those buffet table, the heating compartment is all exposed and it's all rusted. Can't imagine we are eating from there. We had a super salty soya chicken, all I taste is saltiness and no other flavour. The soap was extremely salty too. The shrimp was not fresh, it's soggy. I am glad the veggies are not salty. The staff is extremely rude, I asked him for a bowl, and he shouted at me in mandarin and throw one on the table. Bad service in a badly managed restaurant. THE WORST CHINESE FOOD I'VE EVER HAD. Wow, I'm thinking about moving to Revelstoke and opening another Chinese food place just to give this place some competition. I'm not sure what I received when I ordered chow mein, soup, General Tzo's and (convenience-storesque) spring rolls. To round out this disappointing experience the food was delivered 2 hrs after we placed the order (on a Monday!?!?). When we called after 1.5hrs it was "yeah, it's still here, it's coming soon." No "sorry, let me make this up as I had originally quoted you 45mins". Beware/do not attempt/re-think any idea of ordering from this place while in town. read more

Surprisingly good Chinese food for a small town. I came in here while on a driving trip to Vancouver from Calgary, and stopped here for lunch. While they offered a buffet, I declined that and wanted to order from the menu. My curry chicken fried rice was delicious. The server was friendly and happy to hear me speak her native Chinese dialect when I ordered. If you're looking for more authentic Chinese food, don't be afraid to ask for it. I was surprised to see menus on the wall that were written entirely in Chinese, but that surprise disappeared when I saw a tour bus filled with Chinese tourists come into the restaurant for lunch. read more

Me and parents were looking for a place to eat on Christmas but every place were just ridiculously busy and we're not nice to us. We saw this small restaurant sign, and decided to check it out, we walk in it was very quiet and the lady was very nice. Disgusting food. I paid almost 50 dollars for my order. They put down a 5 for taxes. I used a tax calculator for pst and it was supposed to be much less. They snuck on a tip for themselves without my approval. The food was gross.. the pineapple was from a can. You can tell it was not fresh. The noodles were not properly cooked.. as in wayy overcooked. Craving Chinese food when nestled into Revelstoke for the weekend, my buddy and I wandered around downtown for a bite to eat. It was a Friday and we were really hungry from the long drive from Calgary and saw that they had a dinner buffet. It was busy which is great to see in a small town. After we were seated and went up to get food, the buffet line did not disappoint. There was a choice from at least 18 different hot menu items as well as an ice cream bar and dessert. The food was unexpectedly tasty and continually refreshed through the dinner service. The restaurant staff were quite friendly, though we did have to wait for everyone to settle bills before they had time to clear a table and seat us. I guess that's the nature of a smaller restaurant. The waitress ignored us when we walked in. I stood by the desk for a couples minutes as she walked past me several times. She was just cleaning tables, not actually helping anyone. She kept loking up at me, and then would continue cleaning the table. I didn't know what was going on until a Caucasian man who haf been eating at a table nearby me atood up and stood eight in front of me. The waitress immediately stopped what she was doing, came over to him and he asked for another glass of water. She gave it to him while smilinf and chaatting with him. He went and sat back down with his water. The waiteess went back to cleaning tables. Um. What?? I am African and my husband, who was with me (waiting behind me at the entrance) is Asian. Ethnicity is the only difference between us and the man she so willingly helped. The wife of that Caucasian man kept staring at me at this point, with a smug smile on her face. Wow. I continued standing there for another minute, and I was becoming very indignant at this point. A very nice Caucasian family of 4 walked in behind me. The family seemed confused as to why the waitress was not helping me (and, by extension, not helping them as they were behind me). They even asked me if I was waiting for the waitress and I said Yes. They stood for a while behind me, and I decided to simply let them go in front of me as it is rude to make people wait a long time (even though it was the waitress who was at fault here). Sure enough, as soon as the family got in front of me, the waitress came right over and sat them at a table and gave them menus. My husband and I left a minute or two later as it was obvious that we were not going to be served there. Even if I had demanded food, would I want to eat it? No. read more

Unpretentious, well done, western Chinese food. The vegetables are fresh, items are not refried, not over seasoned, and surprisingly not greasy. Best value is lunch buffet. Weekend buffet is phenomenal, beware place is packed on weekend during the buffet.
