My hubby had to fix a few instances between us bumping heads, but he takes responsibility that you are his patient. He does not do any modern testing at his office nor suggests it unless you ask and he will write a script. In his own words he "works for God". He certainly does. He will help anyone with pain as long as you prove there is a reason to. Honestly, I love him. At first, it was difficult because I'm very aggressive, but I learned his nature and how to work with him. Today, I tell him everything. I can cry, be sincere, laugh or debate. He's genuinely sent from above and I'm very fortunate I met him. Be calm and honest. May take a few attempts to get him to listen fully, but he is not about money. Many prescribe to make money including very invasive surgeries like an opioid pump. He will NOT do that. He will keep you alive and do his best to save your other organs such as your liver while trying to treat your pain. Be patient with him and you will thank above for him being in your life. The ER, like most city ER's, was jammed. with all rooms and hallways filled with patients. The wait time was longer than it should have been for my condition unfortunately. The CT scan revealed a blocked small intestine. I was given anti-nausea and morphine. I stayed in the ER overnight and surgery was performed the next day by Dr. Kevin Pei with minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Pei discovered that I had an intussusception intestine. He removed 43cm of my small intestine and reattached it with staples. I was then moved upstairs to a private room in the Kimmel building. The care by the surgical team and nursing staff throughout my six-day stay was outstanding along with their state-of-the-art technology. The practice is recognized as one of the best in the country and I certainly believe this to be true.

He did an initial surgery and then a corrective one within 14 months because a screw cracked. He really botched the corrective surgery by locking up more levels of my cervical and thoracic spine than he had to (based on the opinion of 3 surgeons at HSS) and I just had a third surgery performed at HSS to remove a screw that had penetrated the space between vertabrae causing years of unexplained pain. Moreover, Dr. Frempong and his office staff are horrible communicators. If you have a choice, do NOT let this man operate on you. Go to anyone at HSS instead.

The second one covered the botched work performed on the first surgery. In total, I have had three spine surgeries. About one year after my last surgery, I attempted to call Dr. Frempongs office to discuss some issues I am currently having. I know that I cannot have anymore spine surgeries however, like I said, I only want to discuss my current symptoms. I must have called Dr. Frempongs office five times each time being told that someone would reach out to me. Well, I'm still waiting. I will never understand why your surgeon will not call you or at the least, have his NP call you to find out the issue. I work for a cardiology office that refers quite a few patients to Dr. Frempong. I am so sorry to all of the patients we referred to that office. The waiting room is clean with lots of natural light from the windows. They put out stacks of puzzles like sudoku and word searches to occupy your time as you wait to be called to surgery. It was a very welcoming and cozy space. Once you're in triage, you are settled in to change into your hospital gown and sat in a reclining chair with a blanket and a large funnel tube of flowing heated air. It was very nice and helped calm any anxieties. The care quality here is superior with the medical staff's kindness and professionalism answering all of my questions and attending to my every concern. When I woke up from my procedure, there was a nurse ready and waiting to offer me something to drink along with some crackers. I am most comfortable coming here again if I need another procedure.
