I wanted to provide this review in light of salons just opening a few days ago because of the COVID lockdown and my experience today at Tame Studio. I take my health and that of others very seriously - I have self-isolated for two months - I don't venture out to grocery stores but get them delivered etc. However I did feel it would be OK to venture out to Tame Studio, after talking with them and learning of their protocols, and I was not mistaken. Rosie has the place so well organized and spotless (as usual), all the staff and clients are required to wear masks, they are sanitizing everything all the time etc. I did not feel at all concerned about picking up COVID germs during any stage of my visit and Rosie, as always, did an excellent job on my hair. This is the salon to come to! It is so clean, the ladies are professional and so good at what they do. The hairdryers come down from the ceiling and their product smells so amazing from shampoo to leave in conditioner. I feel there leaving like a new woman! read more

Samie did such a great job with my haircut and highlights. She took the time to communicate to find out what I really wanted and make sure we were on the same page. She was very knowledgeable and explained what she was doing every step of the way. When I wanted lighter highlights than I had previously but was a little nervous about it, she offered to have me come in on a later date free of charge so she could correct my hair to how I wanted it. But I love the way my hair looks and wouldn't change anything. I will definitely be going back the next time I need a haircut and color. read more

I think this salon is expensive and should have 3 $$$ next to them, not just 2. I went in for basic color & they charged a whooping extra $30.00 to shampoo & blow out my hair. Wouldn't you think if you are getting color on your hair that shampooing the color out is included in the price? Everyone was friendly when I arrived, but didn't get that same feeling upon leaving. I hate it when hair salons, make-up counters, beauty stores, nail salons make you feel uncomfortable. Aren't we the customer who is paying them for a service? And......I just want to add that my hair WAS NOT left shiny, after she said she "was" going to put a gloss on it, only to find out she did not. I asked why, and the gal at the front desk seemed totally unconcerned. My hair faded out in 2 1/2 weeks. They are overpriced, very nice when you enter and could care less when you are done & paid :( read more

I have been coming to Tame Salon, for quite some time, to have my nails done. I have been happy with Gina, for the most part, and felt appreciative to have someone I can count on to do a good job. After Covid-19, I was in need of a gel full set. I made an appt. and was so happy to be able to look at my nails and be pleased again. However, after just over a week, my polish started coming off at the edges and one of my nails broke off. Knowing the salon is closed on Sun. and Mon., I couldn't get right in. By the time I came in for my appt. it was exactly two weeks from when Gina had done my full set. I was appalled at Gina's reaction to my dissatisfaction. She proceeded to tell me that a gel full set with nail extensions can last up to 2 weeks and had no intention of accommodating the situation. As I said earlier, I have been coming to her for quite some time. Specifically, I have asked her when I should make my next appt. for fills and she has told me 3-4 weeks. I have always been generous in my tip, 20% and above. Her solution was to do fills. I should have left at this point (my own mistake!). Instead, I agreed to let her do the fills. Since I had spent $125 for a pedicure and full set 2 weeks prior, I would expect she would reduce the fee for the fills and trusted that she would do the right thing. Instead, she charged me full price. I will NEVER go back to this salon. I called after I left, spoke to the receptionist and told her I was very disappointed and would like to speak to the manager. Gina returned my call and assured me the manager would not have anything different to say. The manager never called me, not sure if she ever received the message but felt, despite Gina being an independent contractor, she should know what happened in her salon. read more

I called in great need of a new stylist.. They were able to get me in quickly. I was schedule to meet with Gabby! Not one regret! Not only did she fix what was already done but made my hair look awesome! The only down fall.... The price! Triple what I was spending. Still debating if the killer hair is worth the price. Veronica was my hair dresser and she was excellent. Friendly, professional and very much an attention to detail person. I was very happy with my hair cut. The salon itself was clean, calming yet bright and open. Prices for services are very reasonable, so I definitely felt I more than got my money's worth. I needed a new colorist and stylist, after 4 years with my previous I needed a change. After checking reviews, I gave Sonoran Beauty a call. I was able to book an appointment with Caley. I'll be honest I'm very picky and I was very nervous, as my work calls for me speaking to hundreds of people in a seminar format. Caley did not disappoint, the salon is very well decorated and very inviting. I told Caley, I didn't want ash or yellow blonde and my hair came out amazing. Caley is wicked fast at foiling and base. My hair is literally like silk. I asked her to trim me up a bit and texturize and my cut has never looked better. Even my husband said it looked amazing. I can't say enough about Caley. What a great find! I've been "on the go" for a couple years, and so have been having my hair and pedicures done "wherever". But now I will wait till I am in Cave Creek for these services because I had both by Kayla and she is truely exceptional in her field. My hair was a wreck and her cut/color made me feel perfect. She took into consideration my lifestyle and technical ability as far as styling goes, and designed the cut so that I can get dressed by myself - ha! The salon is clean and professional and fun. Love this salon! I've been going there for years. I have pretty much gotten my hair done by each stylist! I have never been disappointed. I also got my face dermabladed by Lisa. They carry dermaquest products which is dermatologist grade skin care! And let me tell you I am a dermaquest hoarder! I've got tons of their products and my face has never felt better. They have a variety of stylists to meet your needs, as well as an aesthetician, and a boutique! And let's not forgot about the nail tech kasey! I first came in desperate to fix my ORANGE hair color disaster from another salon. Gaby totally fixed it - phew. I went back today to have a touch-up color, bringing in a photo of what I want my hair to look like, and Gaby nailed it again - it's perfect. I love it. And I haven't said that about my hair in years. Oh, and they're super fast, consult with each other to make sure it's the right shades, and I feel like they really try to understand what I'm looking for before any chemical touches my hair. She always did such an amazing job that I was very disappointed when she left and was seriously considering looking for another Salon. During my last visit this week, Lisa (originally from Chicago) cut my hair and she too gave me a fantabulous cut and style. I have to echo what others have said here... this salon is a little gem. From the phone call to make my appointment to the finished cut and style, I had a great experience. Everyone is friendly and attentive, and I love what Gabrielle ("Gaby") did with my hair! She is sweet and adorable and a very skilled stylist. Many times I have left a salon and felt like I had overpaid for the service received. Often I have gone home and restyled my hair not happy with the cut and finish. Not so with Gaby's work! Day 2 into my new cut and my hair still looks just the way I wanted it to look. I don't want this salon to become so popular that it's hard for me to get an appointment, but honestly, I don't know why you'd go anywhere else in the Cave Creek area. read more
