DO NOT GO HERE. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. I don't normally leave reviews but I felt like I had to for this one. I came in to get highlights in my hair, expecting one of the professionals to help me out. After I get there, some random dude comes out who barely speaks English. Barely asks me questions about what I want, and barely talks about what he is going to do starts to do the cap thing on my head. He was extremely rough using the tool, stabbing my head very hard. After he finishes he finishes dying my hair, charges me $300 then when I ask how to maintain it he responds "I trust you will make the right decisions"... like no I know nothing about this, this was my first time. Then a couple hours later, when it drys, I look at it and it looks TERRIBLE. The sides of my head looked like I had cheetah print and the top was VERY orange. After I realize. I go back in a couple days later. After having to take time off of work because of how bad it looked and how anxious it made me. They agreed that it looked terrible and they told me that they would fix it free of charge.... They schedule me for the next day and I come in, then as they start they say "btw we are going to charge you $150 for this". They said this AFTER they started and told me they'd fix it for free. Then I asked why it wasn't free anymore and they ignored the question and walked away. When I went to the register they gave me a product to buy and told me I had to pay and when I asked why it wasn't free anymore again, they said because a different person fixed it. Which made no sense because they scheduled me with her and said it would be free to fix. Again, normally I don't leave reviews. Look at my profile for proof. This was such an incredibly terrible experience, save your money and your mental health and go somewhere else. read more

PROS: - staff are very friendly - space is elevated + accommodations are very nice - all stylist are amazingly talented!! CONS: - lacking pricing transparency - paying higher prices for a "specialist" but still having a jr, stylist finish the treatment/wash/condition - hair drying not included in selective services (they are an à la cart menu - understandable if someone wants to come in for a simple wash + blowdry) I feel like if you are spending money on a coloring service (which I have gotten) I shouldn't have to pay an additional $55 just to see the results. I will come back bc the stylist are very talented and sweet, but better business practices such as B2C communication need to be established. read more

Ashly took 30 minutes with me to discuss my hair needs and wants. I returned in a couple of weeks to start my hair transformation with Ashley. I am so happy with the outcome, I can't recommend Ashley enough. Etch Salon is top notch and I am always greeted with a warm smile and professional staff. I came here once a year ago as a referral from a very reputable source and yesterday, I was back for another visit. Robert (stylist) and Suzanne (colorist) are amazing and really did a stellar job with my hair. I won't be going elsewhere. They now have my loyalty for as long as I live here. Robert is always super calm, and a great conversationalist. He's been working at this salon for 18 years and has been a hairdresser for over 40+ years. I appreciate this experience he has. He also knows all the great restaurants around town and we had a nice conversation going as he cut my hair. Suzanne is one of the best colorists out there. I told her I need my roots lightened up and she immediately went to work quickly. Suzanne is fast and made the session very pain free! She then put me under a heater lamp for about 45 minutes and then we were all done. The lady that washed my hair and conditioned it was also very sweet and we had a very nice conversation. Semani does my color, cuts and extensions. I always look amazing. My favorite part is SHE LISTENS!!! She won't cut 3 inches when I ask for 1!!! Hair dresser was Hamza I had hair color change/ balayage. The service was awful - it was simply pulling hair off of my head and calling me sensitive There was NO No hair conditioner No hair detangler When my hair was washed, he was literally pulling so hard on my head. Every time I mentioned to him to be gentle he was getting harsher. He started to blow dry and style without drying my hair. There were zero hair products used other than coloring my hair. No product was used to condition the hair and make it flow smooth and brush easily. After that they called me to change my scheduled time which it was fine for me I mentioned to them as long as I was gonna get my hair done . After I waited a month and also she said she can do my hair and also getting my appointment changed !!! Totally unprofessional and no communication was very disappointed after all the changing . Never in my life thinking of going to this salon . My hair is blonde just wanted to darken it a bit . The front desk also mentioned Kiana wasn't experienced in doing that when she could've been clear about that in the beginning and I wouldn't have gone in the beginning with her .
