I'd like to share this review about my experience with Tameron Honda of Gadsden, Alabama. A little over a month ago we purchased a used Ford vehicle from Tameron Honda of Gadsden. It took some time to come to that decision after much research. There was tough competition from a vehicle condition standpoint and this car wasn't my top choice. But it had the equipment package we very much desired. What made part of the decision a challenge was the dealer was a five (5) hour drive. We planned on the purchase as long as the car was as described. It was stated by staff members of Tameron Honda of Gadsden there was a 90-day warranty. But they'd make sure that any issues found on their watch would be fixed. If by chance if I found an issue it should be covered under the 90-day warranty. On the drive home I discovered I was unable to pair my devices with the Bluetooth in the vehicle. Numerous attempts with numerous devices all failed. Additionally the AM radio did not receive stations. FM worked, but not AM. I checked back with Tameron Honda of Gadsden about the 90-day warranty and was directed by Tameron Honda of Gadsden to take the car to a local (my home) dealer. I did so, to our local Autonation Ford dealer. The dealer did confirm two separate items had problems. I also discovered that the 90-day warranty did not cover one of the items. I made contact with Tameron Honda of Gadsden and discussed what options were available considering I lived 5 hours away. Had I lived in the Tameron Honda of Gadsden area we would have returned to Tameron Honda of Gadsden and they would have assisted in resolving the problem. That was not a solution that was going to work easily. The good news is that Tameron Honda of Gadsden worked with me to make things right! There were location challenges, me in Memphis and they in Gadsden, AL. But at the end of the day they made all things right. I'd specifically like to thank Kevin Riggan for helping to choreograph the help we needed. There were numerous others who assisted as well. Thank you Kevin! I fully understand that used cars are hard to come by at the present time, and they are much more costly. But 2 weeks ago we were in a tight place after a wreck and had to buy something quick. We found a 2017 Chevy Trax. We did a test drive, and it had high milage, but it was one of few used cars on their lot that had not been wrecked. (Our Salesman Ben told us that they don't fix cars that are over two years old that have been wrecked. No need to waste their time and money to fix them, they just sell them as is.) Two weeks later the AC isn't working. I called our salesman, and he checked with his boss and I was told that they sold the car as is. It had over 100,000 miles so it wasn't their problem. TWO WEEKS later we are having to fix a car that we paid $15,000 for. And they don't care because it's not their problem. Buyer Beware! read more

Bad tactics. We called about a car on their website and the phone answering person said they had it and we could look at it. We show up and a sales person is hanging out in the lot watching people come in like a hawk. I park and I'm on the phone. She comes over to my window and stands there waiting for me to get off the phone. Somewhat awkward. Once I get off the phone and tell her what we came to look at the first thing she says is "I hope that was on our lot and not our sister location. Sometimes they put inventory from each location on each other's website" First red flag. We go in to "check on it" and salesperson starts giving us a ridiculous survey designed to "find the right car for you" while all the time I'm like we know what car we are interested in, just show it to us. Second Red flag. Finally after 15 minutes of hemhawing we get around to actually checking on the status of the car. It's sold. It's was actually a pre-order that wasn't available to the general public to begin with. It was now in service department having customization installed and we can't see it. (Why was it on the website? Apparently to get people to come in to the dealership so they can try to sell them something else) Third red flag. Then we are offered other similar cars on the lot. None of which were as appealing as the one we called about. We declined to look at those. So then I ask about doing a pre-order and what are the list prices. This prompts the sales person to "go ask about it" and she is gone for upwards of five minutes. She comes back with a few numbers scrawled on a post it note and says "we are currently updating the prices so these are not exact but they are close" this was the fourth red flag and I was done at this point but I asked a few more questions just to try to learn what would be involved in doing a pre order in case we did one somewhere else. Every question I asked resulted in the salesperson "going to ask about it" and then came back with vague answers that seemed to contradict other information that had already been stated. I asked for a brochure about the car explaining the different trims and I got a website print out that spanned multiple pages and was hard to make sense out of. So we finally just say we are leaving and get up and go. Within 10 minutes I get a call from same sales person. I didn't answer it but she left a voicemail saying they could give me a really good deal on one of the cars on the lot that we had chosen not to look at. For the next three weeks I received about two calls a week from her trying to get me interested in something and coming back to deal with them. Needless to say these were ignored and I will never cross the threshold of this dealership again. I don't understand why in this age of internet shopping a dealer thinks it will work to put a "bait" car on the website and then try to sell you something else. For the most part people have done their research and shopping online and by the time they come to dealership they want to see a specific car and decide about it. Dealers should be truthful about the status of any vehicle they put on the website these days! read more

Allowed me to drive an hour and a half to purchase a new car without disclosing that they were going to add $4000 worth of crappy dealer upgrades to the price of the car. The people I dealt with were friendly, but I won't be back. Of course, I did not purchase the car. I would be careful with this dealership. read more

Now the TAMRON HONDA! They make you feel like your a piece of meat and watch your every move. And even if you do want to buy a car they are very pushy on the most expensive car so they can make a better commission regardless of what the customer wants. They also say they have a sale and that's just a lie. They never have a sale. I would discourage anyone from buying a car from here. Sure do miss the Grissoms family. read more

Took my car for service, Tameron Honda of gadsden, stratched every wheel on car, when I showed them the damage, the service manager said I was being ticky. Called the General manager he had me drive back down there a week later, advices he would need a flash light in there low light service bay, he said he was going off feel, dont know how he could feel inside with lug nut on..He offered me $300.00 for me to take somewhere to get touched up..Also 400 % markup on cabin air filter they replaced. I would not buy or use the service department.. read more

Buyer BEWARE! I feel frustrated, deceived, and misled. I will explain why. I had been looking at the web site and saw a vehicle I was interested in. Yesterday I chatted with someone via the web site about this specific vehicle. Someone called me to talk about the vehicle I described. She set up an appointment for me to drive the vehicle today. They had my email and cell phone number. I arrived and gave the salesman all of the information. He said he would pull the vehicle around for me. Then he asked if his manager could have the keys to our vehicle to determine trade-in value (while his manager had time). I was walking around while I waited (for almost a half hour). The manager asked if someone was helping me. I replied that Abraham had gone to get the vehicle I was interested in. The manager said, "I'll make sure he's on it." Eventually Abraham came back and told me that vehicle had been sold. "That's why this took so long." If leather seats were important to me, I would need to increase my budget. I asked for my key in order to leave. He said the manager had it. Looking back, the entire experience is "fishy." That dealership had three opportunities to check and make sure the vehicle was in stock and let me know. No one did. I drove 200+ miles round trip. I had heard of bait and switch. I do NOT appreciate being treated this way! Going to Tameron was a total waste of time! read more

I was on business traveling from Atlanta to work in Gadsten and my engine started skipping again. I already knew the vehicle likely needed a tune up as my regular mechanic in Atlanta suggested next time I was In for regularly scheduled service. So the service advisor at Tamron called the code from my engine and said I needed spark plugs and a coil which I thought sounded about right. They also tried to upsell me to have my timing belt replaced which was replaced last summer. Service department was great, clean and friendly and my advisor even arranged for me to get back-and-forth to my work while they had my car. So all very nice on that front. My really only complaint is the price which came in at $584.00 for 6 plugs and a coil! Shocking, right? I'm not sure how they can justify that as at the very most it should be about $320.00. But I figured since they were in there I'd go ahead and fix it. Looking back they probably saw my out-of-state plates and saw they had me over a barrel. I visited this business yesterday 4/10/18 planning on purchasing a car advertised at the internet sales price of $5489 - $499 discount leaving the final price $4990 plus tax. Unfortunately they then add the discount back to the price once they get you into the store. Their price at this point became $5700 after tax. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of honesty and fairness that they display in getting customers into the store. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. Take a note Tameron Honda when you advertise a price, that's the price. read more
