I came in for a full set. During the acrylic application, I immediately noticed how poorly the nails were being done. The application was uneven, bulky, and honestly the worst acrylic application I have ever seen. I tried to stop the service, but the technician kept insisting that she was "not finished" and told me to wait. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and allowed her to continue. At the end of the service, I still did not like the nails at all. I was already uncomfortable and chose to leave instead of arguing. The next day, my hands hurt extremely badly. My fingers and nails were very sore because the technician handled my hands roughly throughout the filing process. I went back and calmly requested that the nails be removed because they were hurting my hands and I did not like the work. When I walked in, multiple staff members stood up from their seats and surrounded me, speaking back and forth in their language while staring at my nails and at me. Eventually, one of them asked what the problem was. I explained calmly that I didn't like the nails and that my hands hurt. She asked if I wanted a different color, and I said no -- I simply wanted the nails removed. They continued talking back and forth in their language, visibly annoyed. I told them it was rude to speak about me in front of me when I didn't understand what was being said. One staff member rolled her eyes, pointed to a chair, and told me to sit down. They did remove the nails, but the entire situation felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. On top of that, sanitation was questionable. The nail tech had her feet under the table resting where my leg room was supposed to be. I had my feet kicked back the whole time if i tried to put them in front of me there was no room Nail salons should make clients feel comfortable, respected, and safe. So for starters, I asked for almond nails. Used dirty tools, and cut me with them, then proceeded to remove them and put them back with all the other drill bits. They look terrible, lumpy and the lines are uneven. But seriously?? I'm more concerned about how unsanitary that is, they reuse files and drill bits without sterilizing them, that's DISGUSTING. How many other people have been cut with the same dirty drill bits? And this disaster was $65, next time I'll go with a home based nail tech, at least they're more sanitary. read more

The absolute worst set of Nails ever done in my life.. it was sloppy fast unfiled rough and within one week my gel paint chipped off, which is never happened before. My pedicure was rushed, not fully done. No trimming of the cuticles massage was literally up and down one leg for maybe five minutes and also they only soaked my feet for about 30 seconds maybe. The lady that was doing my daughter's pedicure could tell that nothing was being done for me, and actually just took over mine when she was done with my daughter. They had a few ladies getting services and I thought they were going to tell me to come back later. No They told me to come in. I'm very disappointed. It would have been worse than if I hadn't pointed out some things while I was there. I just gave up paid and left. I learned my lesson. I made the mistake of going in for a gel manicure an hour before they closed. AN HOUR!!! I should've known this was going to be a rushed job. I even asked her, "is this how you always do nails or are you in a rush?" She replied, "no." So I went with my aunt for a nice afternoon pedicure. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE. I watched her soak my feet for 30 seconds and then she proceeded to strip the skin in between my nail and toe of my big toes. It started to uncontrollably bleed and I yelped twice. Why I did not get up and leave is beyond me. She tried to hack at me again and I unconsciously pulled away and said "no." to her. They tried to fix the bleeding by applying ACETONE to my toe with a file wrapped in cotton and it stung like crazy. She was going to apply neosporin but forgot. I left with a bleeding toe. I bought some Epsom salts so now I can soak my toes and pray I don't get an infection. I also watched her place the nail file back in the tray after it touched my bloody toe. BAD NEWS YOU GUYS. They were very nice when we went in...but the person doing my toenails cut my cuticle during a pedicure and seemed surprised that I said "Ouch! ". I mean, she kept pulling at it afterwards like she didn't understand this was causing me pain. I have a gash next to my toenail that I hope will not become infected. I wasn't very impressed with this place the first time I came, but I always give places a second chance. My pedi and mani literally took like 20 minutes, it felt so rushed I was more anxious than relaxed. I always get a French pedi, the clear nail polish looks rigid and bubbly. I usually get a mani with no gel, the lady was so rushed she was cutting deep into my cuticles, one of my fingers bled a little bit. Then she put alcohol, I get it to disinfect, but that hurt like a b-----! Anyway, I tried. I was robbed today, not with a gun but by a trip to Tammy's Spa. My friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a pedicure at Tammy's Spa & Nails at 1942 Main Street, Watsonville, CA, 95076. I was quoted a price for a basic pedicure. We had a wonderful time visiting and chatting as our toes were done. Then we went to pay. The base pedicure price quoted was $20. When I was rung up, I was told that the cost was now $31.95 less $1.95 if paid cash. As I was about to pay the bill, another technician walked up and said something to her in whatever language was spoken. Her eyes widened, and she added another $20.00 to the bill. When I objected, stating the new price was not quoted at the time of service. The other technician claimed we got a service different than the basic pedicure. Rather than make a major scene, I paid, especially since my friend didn't support me, stating she had never heard the quote. I am an unhappy customer. Their prices should be posted, or someone proficient in English should make any price changes they are asking beyond what they quoted. I will not be returning or recommending Tammy's spa. read more
