I had a wonderful manicure and pedicure at Perfect Nails. I loved the quiet atmosphere coupled with all the regulars who knew Kelly and Tom so well. It felt very much like a community environment. I also (personally) appreciate a nail salon that isn't fancy and more relaxed, this fit me perfectly. And let me not forget the most important aspect of this salon, I received an excellent manicure and pedicure, with beautiful cuticle removal and perfect polish. I went in to get French Tips for engagement picture, and the lady helping me, I think Kelly, did a wonderful job! She did a work of art on my nails and paid so much attention to detail - I couldn't have asked for anything more. I also got a pedicure while I was getting my manicure, and that was so relaxing. He was super gentle with my feet and made all of my toenails even and proportionate with each other. I don't think my toe nails have looked this great since I was a teenager. Cute shop tucked away in a huge plaza filled with cute restaurants and coffee shops!! Definitely one of the smaller nail salons I've been to. I came on a Thursday afternoon after making a reservation on the phone (would suggest even though they allow walk-ins). They are pretty short staffed so they can't take that many people at once. I came in for a full set of acrylics with some friends. The lady was very nice and did a pretty good job shaping my nails!! I got the almond shape with light blue gel polish and a sparkly accent nail on my ring fingers. Came out to be $35 without tip. She did say it was $33 for a full set of acrylics gel on the phone (but I guess the accent nail costed extra). I dont remember who did my nails but it was the woman who was taking all the reservations. I would come back again! read more

This is a small nail shop with two worker owners but they are top of it. Somehow Kelly does all the scheduling while she is working on folks and she doesn't seem to drop the ball much. I came here 2-3 times and got gel mani pedis. Good attention to detail, I wish I had worked with Tom but Kelly was good. The shop is a little messy and dusty but lots of places are. They seem to mostly see elders and it is dead quiet. So if you're looking for vibes and atmosphere, this isn't your spot. read more

Went here on a whim as I moved to the area a while back and was looking for a new nail salon. I'm giving this place two stars because the two individuals who own/work there are actually very nice. However the place is VERY dirty and messy. They don't have many of the colors that they say they do... and their product is low quality. And by the time I got to my car and was driving home my nail polish was bubbling, and I could see they were warped. I ended up having to take my nails off less than a week later because they were lifting, my nail beds were starting to ache, and I started to get a fungus. Find another salon, that will take better care of you and your nails. read more

COVID-19 review. It's been 96 days since Santa Clara County shut down all nail salons in the county and has yet to determine when they will be back open. My last mani/pedi was in early March and I was struggling. When I heard that Santa Cruz County opened nail salons, I quickly jumped on Yelp found a shop and made an appointment the following day to make the 45 minute drive. The salon was easy to get to. It's tucked away a bit from the street so I had to drive around twice to find it, not their fault. Do you do that thing where you turn down your radio if you're lost? Well, I did that and found the place! Maybe there is some correlation behind turning down the radio and finding where you need to be? Who knows but it worked. I called the salon from my car and they let me know when they were ready for me. They took my temperature, had me fill out a form that could be used for future contact tracing if need be, and had me sanitize my hands and pick a color. I brought my own, because while I'm in happy to get a my nails done I'm not sure if I'm ready for "community" nail polish quite yet. My pedicure chair was wiped down in front of me, there was plastic in the basin to allow for easy cleaning and a plexiglass shield between me and the technician. I felt safe. My nail tech was Tom and he was awesome!!! Extremely nice, very skilled, personable and he didn't judge my feet--they weren't pretty. He did my nails too and everything was awesome!! While I hope Santa Clara County opens soon and I can go back to my salon closer to my house, this will be my spot until then. Three things I want to call out. 1. If you aren't ready to get your nails done, don't make an appointment. These people have been out of work for months. Have some respect and show up if you've made an appointment! 2. Tip well. Tip better than you normally would. This should go without saying. 3. I don't know what their prices were before hand but they had a sign up that said their prices increased by $5 for all services. I paid $65 for a gel manicure and pedicure which is less than what I paid in San Jose prior to COVID-19. Once more thing, they prefer cash and don't take cards BUT they use Venmo. read more

The only complaint I have is that there was literally no leg massage and I love them. It was dead quiet there, could've used some peaceful music. Otherwise, a nice pedicure from a quiet woman who mostly spoke to me in sign language. It was fine with me. The pedicure was $30. The place was very clean and had a large offering of quality nail polishes. I don't know what the other client was talking about. read more

I think their bottom or top coat is too old or expired because my nails have so many air bubbles in it and is already peeling off after one day. They did a great shape and buff, but really disappointed in the way the nail polish is not lasting. The Covid-19 procedures are not great too. She tried to have me put my hands on the old towel from the previous guest. And she didn't sanitize any surface at the station. She also didn't pull the mask up to her nose, so only her mouth was covered, not her nose. I just tried to breathe as little as possible. ‍ read more

Perfect Nails is truly a 5 stars nail salon, by far the best nail salon I've ever been to. If you're ever in Santa Cruz go to this salon. The worker who did my nails was a man (wasn't able to get his name, I'm guessing Tom from all the other comments) did a fantastic job. He took his time and paid attention to detail. He made sure to ask if I liked my nails which I did! Today I got a full set of acrylic nails ($33 totally worth it because the salon I go to at home (Sacramento) was more expensive and doesn't do nearly as good of a job). I also got a pedicure ($18) and my toes/feet looks great! I will be back real soon, so glad to have found this nail salon because I just moved to Santa Cruz and needed a place to go to, to get my nails done.
