I've been coming to this location for over a year. The price is reasonable. I really love getting my pedicure by Danny. He is so nice and gives the best foot massage. Seriously he always makes me feel like a superstar. I also love that this place is located in beautiful Rio Del Mar and near my home. I would have given 5 stars but I had a very uncomfortable and hurtful experience with one of the manicurist named Tina. All the other ladies that work here have been kind to me except Tina. She threw a fit and angrily accused me of basically lying that I had an appointment with Danny right in front of my daughter and all the clients. I believe in showing kindness to all so I stayed calm and kind. I didn't deserve her lashing out at me and I will never get my nails done by her. Usually I come here and feel welcomed and relaxed. If I had the option for a 0 I would give it. We booked an appointment for my sister and myself, showed up for our appointment on time, they had 5 people waiting with appointments and all chairs full. They got us in chairs and then the torture began. They were so rushed, overly aggressive, rough with the manicure/pedicure, and not safe at all. My sister got abandoned by her lady and sat there while I got my nails done horribly. She never got her manicure. The final outcome, the nails look horrible, chunky, rough and nail polish chipping the same day. I would NEVER recommend this place! Not certain of the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the stainless steel implements, tools, etc. Last time I had a pedicure there, Angel took the stainless steel tool to the sink near me and probably washed it quick. Ird the water and saw her upper body movements, yet the sink was not visible because it has a "wall " blocking the view. I know that implements, tools, etc need to be submerged in the salon grade sterilizing liquid for a while. There are no sterilization glass jars visible or in the work (pedicure) station areas. None that I've seen. There aren't individual sealed supplies for each costumer, such as nail file, nail clippers, etc for each customer. Don't know if that has stopped now that we are past the pandemic stage when it was required to have individual sealed kits for each customer? I score the review 3.5 The owner is nice and I like that the shop is smaller (cozy). More relaxing and I like the fresh look of polished pedicure toes. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Without a doubt the WORST nail salon I have ever been to. I took my mother in law in for her birthday to get a mani/pedi and wanted her to feel pampered. She's disabled and has a chronic illness making it difficult for her to do her own nails. The woman that was giving her a pedicure repeatedly and loudly shamed her for the length of her toenails and was very rough with her. My mother-in-law asked her repeatedly to be more gentle and the woman still aggressively handled her feet and loudly commented on how her toes looked. At this point, I asked for a different pedicurist and after a short wait they complied. However, the rude woman still continued to clearly talk about us loudly in her native language and smile condescendingly. This was meant to be a nice birthday treatment and it ended up being a horrible experience that made my mother in law and I incredibly uncomfortable. They never apologized to her and didn't offer any discount to services. In addition to the absolutely awful customer service. My manicure began to chip the VERY next day. I wish I had read some of the other terrible reviews before I went it. Stay far away. read more

There's a really mean woman there and why I'll never go back. I'm pretty handicapped, walking is hard, so I came to my appointment a little bit late. This is when the pandemic was hitting us hard and it was only her there. I hobbled in there, very much out of breath. She was working on another person and I said I was only in there for cutting my toenails. That's it. She flatly said you're late. You'll have to make a new appt. The woman she was working on told me that I should take my mask off in order to breathe better. She, the client, was shocked at this and felt terrible. I think she's the owner of the salon and she may be afraid of people who are handicapped. read more

Do not go here! I wish I had checked the previous reviews before I went to Jbella. The woman that did my nails made me bleed three times. My thumb would not stop bleeding! She took off my acrylic nails with a file instead of a dremmel and cut my cuticles too much. She didn't have my wash my hands after the polish was finally off. There was dust everywhere. She put oil on my hands for a "massage" and just rubbed the nail polish dust around. Painful experience. I won't be back. read more

I've been a steady customer for years and something has changed. My last 2 visits were terrible. In both cases I had an appointment and both times they were late by 30 minutes. Yesterday my appointment was for both a mani and pedi. They had 3 people, including me, with 1:00 appts. None of us sat down until 1:30 (me) and 1:45 them. They forgot I was getting a mani and didn't have time because now there were 4 people with 2:00 appointments waiting. I'm going to a wedding and really wanted that manicure. I'm done with them. We just moved from Carmel to Aptos. Our realtor gave me the name of this nail salon. I was pleasantly surprised as how nice it was inside. The people were very friendly, including other customers. I have RA and other bone problems. It is truely hard to work on my toes as they are a bit twisted. My toes have not had a pedicure in 2 months due to our move and settling. The sweetheart I had was accommodating very nice, and gentle. She knew just what to do and listened to directions. I have to say, that I was treated allot better here and the price was better. I went to Jbella Nails this week to get a Mani peti. the pedicure was good and very well done. I asked for a manicure and the lady who did my nails was rough on my cuticles. Cut two of my fingers at my cuticle and claimed that my cuticles were heavy and that her instrument was brand new. She resumed and hurt me and I will not be going back just warning you if you do go there be careful if you get a manicure. read more
