The food itself is amazing so that's definitely what matters here. But be ready to wait at minimum an hour at any given point of the day.

This hidden Akron gem may not be in the most aestetically pleasing neighborhood, but don't let that…read morestop you from savoring fresh authentic Lebanese fare! I found this place by chance as I was looking a healthy option for lunch. I parked in the rear of the building and walked inside. I was greeted by the owner, a friendly lady who was very helpful in making suggestions as to the items on the menu (e.g., spinach pie, meat pie, hummus, baba gannouj). Seating is limited to a few tables however the store has ample space with a variety of imported products such as olive oil, cheese, beans, seasoning, and even bottles of soda! After viewing the menu posted on the wall behind the counter, I saw that red lentil soup was available and quickly made up my mind! The soup came out hot in a styrofoam cup and was a balanced savory cascade of flavor - not too thick while not watery. After finishing it not only was I satisfied, but more importantly I was spared the guilt of eating lousy. If you like Middle Eastern food and live in Akron, stop over to Sanabel Bakery and be amazed!

To echo the other reviewers, food was amazing but it really was pricey. I totally understand things are expensive and prices are going up but I was a little aghast when she gave me the total. Menu said it was $13.99 for the lentils and rice special but I was charged $14.99 and it was $2.50 for a small side of hot sauce! That and three spinach pies brought my total to $25. That's a bit outrageous for the amount of food received. That said, everything truly was delicious and the owner was friendly. At least now I know what to expect for next time!

The walls are decorated with kitchen equipment but not in a tacky way like many chain restaurants. The walls are painted two shades of green and it really looks good. The wait staff is friendly, talkative and attentive. My wife and I were here on a Saturday morning at 8AM and we were the only customers. We left just after 9 AM and no one else has came in. I am not sure how the staff is making money. The menu is huge - do you really need to list 23 omelettes? I would have three or four specialties and then a make your own section. Cut the menu down and make it easier to read/decide. The food gets a mixed review. The pistachio pancakes with cinnimon sugar are good and creative. Highly recommended if you like to be adventurous. My wife got the Eggs Benedict. The sauce...I want to say was broken but I don't think it was made from scratch. If I had to guess I would say it was a combination of premade with butter added to make it "homemade". The poached eggs were over cooked (please see the picture). You want those eggs to be runny (personally I don't like that but said wife does) and these had a jammy center like you would get on Ramen. The portions are big. Too big. Three eggs on Benedict, seven slices of bacon and a large fruit cup. I like to get a value but it has to be hard to make a profit with the price to portion ratio. I am struggling with two or three stars. Two is "do not go there", three is "the place isn't for me but you might like it". I think the owner/chef really cares and is trying. Given that I think they care I am going with three stars. I wish them well but there are some issues they need to work on.
