Absolute lack of professionalism. After traveling 13 miles to see an available pet cat at 1130 am at their office which their staff person demonstrated, I was smitten by the the cute kitten. I would have snatched it up but I left my carrier. Iasked for an application to make sure I got it. There were no prior call on it. I asked twice and was told I could return at 200pm to fill it out as they only do appointments so I did. I returned at 130 pm with carrier, and an elderly woman opened the door looked me up and down strangely and said its gone! Somebody came for it, first come first serve. I said impossible it was only 2 hours? and only 2 cars in the parking lot. She said It's your fault you left the carrier, thats how it' is. I asked about the other two tabbies I saw and she said..They are spoken for and would not show me them. I'm 75 years old, worked for the county, retired and have several cats, i've taken good care of over 10 years. I'm sorry she didn't think someone with my looks, (I'm Hispanic)deserved a cat even if it was free. I told her I read the Yelp reviews and despite the negative reports, had given her the benefit of doubt. Yelp was spot on!..I then told her I wasn't going to argue with her it was just wrong. She then demanded my name, and I declined saying read the Yelp report. I pray someone good got the kittens and they were not simply rushed to some experimental lab that prizes cats like that the way some handle human body parts at Funeral homes.. I am so unnerved right now but hopes it helps anyone dealing with them I felt something fishy when the girl would not provide me an application and make it easier for her when I got back. I have taken my dog there a couple times. And he seems to do fine. And it is a very clean kennel

I am very surprised at the reviews given this kennel. The staff answering phones are very rude and lack skills in customer service. You have to wonder how your family pet is treated when you leave them in their care. The facility is very neglected and has a fowl odor when entering. We have used them on three occasions and will no longer return. We overlooked our prior experience thinking the staff were having a bad day, but this appears to be the norm. read more

I left my pet carmen there from the 13th thru the 17th of aug. 2017. She has stayed there once before and I, nor her exp. Any problems. But this last stay, they neglected to give her meds daily as i had instructed to them 3× before and after checking her in for her stay. Due to her being highly allergic to many types of grass, food, ect. The same meds she was one last sept. When i had her boarded with them. The end result being me coming back home to find her face completely scratched up, dripping blood. This is totally unnecessary and unacceptable. I would not recommend taking any pet that requires meds of anykind or special treatment. If you vaule your pets the way i do you will understand my concern for anyones furbaby ever being treated this way again. read more

This is one of the few places I trust with the care of my fur babies. Not only do they know my four legged family members by name, but they seem to be on first name basis with all of their clients (even the two legged ones!). True sense of community this business seems to conjure. Multiple services are on location. Darla is their for all of your grooming needs. Dr. Jade , Dr. Mary, and Sabine are there as well for all of your veterinarian needs. And what's best is they all work together seamlessly. For instance, my little ones were going "to camp" (that's what we call the stay overs at Tamroc) for the weekend while we were out of town. Sabine was instrumental in suggesting and taking care of coordinating not only the vaccinations my little ones needed that were expiring soon, but was also able to schedule a bath prior to pick up with Darla so my little ones came home so fresh and so clean. Jennifer at the front ,always there to greet you with a smile, has the answer for everything. My last visit to Tamroc I witnessed an employee walking out of the back room where their guests enjoy individual accommodations with private runs singing "Hey Jude" which miraculously seemed to calm every client in the back at once. We were visiting friends for the day in N Myrtle Beach and had to find a comfortable place for our pup to stay until the beach was dog-friendly(5P). We were welcomed in and we're able to show right where she would be staying for the day. It was the cleanest, most organized kennel that we've been to and were more than satisfied with her spending the day there. The staff is like family and could not be more inviting!! We stayed in Myrtle Beach for our spring break vacation. Since our dogs are getting older, we wanted to find a kennel where our dogs could stay close to our resort and see them periodically throughout the week. The employees at Tamroc were very patient in answering all my questions over the phone before we arrived which made me feel confident that our dogs would be safe and well cared for. I really liked how often our dogs were let out of their kennel throughout each day to run and play in a large supervised area. I also appreciated how the staff complimented our dogs each time we visited and invited them to stay anytime at Tamroc again when it was time to go back home. Took my 14 year old pug to board for a few nights, my dog is high maintainence, blind and deaf and they took wonderful care of him. The whole place is spotless and you would not know it was a kennel. My dog was not stressed when I picked him up. I am using them again next month. Best groomers, too! read more

Being relatively knew to the area and looking for a kennel for my two Schnauzers who happen to be diabetic, Tamroc Kennels was recommended to me by our vet. I was looking for a kennel where my dogs would be kindly looked after and given injections twice a day, taken out for playtime and given treats, care was a priority not a spa. Our dogs stayed here for 23 days and received all the care we asked for. They were in excellent health when they came home. I would recommend Tamrock Kennels and we are pleased to have found them for future trips where we cannot take them with us. read more

I have never put my two dogs in a kennel before. When my sister suddenly died in late May I had no choice. Both my dogs are eight years old. My male is healthy and did find at Tamroc. I told them my female needed extra care. She was a diabetic. When I dropped her off she was her usual self. When I picked her up four days later. She was handed to me because she is blind. She didn't act happy to hear my voice but I paid no mind to that. I took my two dogs and left. Outside the building I allowed my male to pee , he hadn't been out to pee in a while he went for a while. When I put my Sadie down to pee she couldn't stand up, she was falling to her side. She had poop all over her back side. I picked her up and took her home. Within an hour of being home she started having seizures that lasted almost an hour. My little Sadie died three hours after being picked up from the kennel. I'm not saying they did anything wrong, I'm saying I don't believe they gave her the care she needed. I believe my dog had a stroke and a seizure or two while in their care. I'm not sure why they didn't send her to the hospital. When we called to ask what they saw and we weren't looking for our money back we just wanted to know what they saw. They got very defensive with us. All they said was she was fine with them but it was a busy weekend. That told me all I needed to know. They did not care for my sick dog. I will never go back and I will tell everyone I know not to go there. I will say if you have a healthy dog you should be fine there. If you have a dog that needs any type of extra care do not take your dog there. I miss my little Sadie everyday! read more
