Tamu Tamu Refreshments is a delightful little treat stop tucked into Harambe Village--it's the perfect quick stop to refresh and recharge during a busy day in Animal Kingdom. I ordered the Simba Sunset, and wow, what a treat! It's a Pineapple Dole Whip crowned with bright red syrup that bursts with hints of strawberry, watermelon, and coconut--bright, sweet, and incredibly refreshing. The portion was huge and easy to enjoy while wandering the park. The snack options here may be limited, but the quality and execution make every visit feel worthwhile. If you're exploring Animal Kingdom and craving something sweet, Tamu Tamu has all of the dole whip goods.

This quick service walk up stand is a great refreshing spot that can be hard to spot and easy to miss. They have breakfast options including the colossal Mickey cinnamon roll and a breakfast sandwich along with refreshments like dole whip and the dole whip floats. Found myself in Africa twice today to which we stopped both times! In the morning around 9:30am we got the honey pistachio croissant which was very good, however for some reason I thought it would be filled with pistachio or something. Unfortunately it was just dusted with some regular pistachios on top. Don't get me wrong, it was still very good though! Super flaky on the outside and very buttery and delicious on the inside. After Kilimanjaro safari at around 1:30, we got a little early afternoon pick me up and got the dole whip to share amongst the three of us. I really do think they give you more here than they do at aloha isle in Magic Kingdom. If you notice the dole whip serving in Magic Kingdom, it's actually hollow on the inside which makes it appear to be larger, but here it's not! So refreshing and delicious as always. Such a Disney snack staple!

Is it really a Disney trip if you don't cool down on at least one of your park days with a Dole Whip treat? Tamu Tamu Refreshments is my go to place while in Animal Kingdom. They typically only have the pineapple flavor, but they do have the option to order a 'boozy' version with rum and, at the time of my most recent visit a few weeks ago, they were offering the Pineapple Crisp Sundae. For all my pineapple and fruity dessert lovers, this was divine! It was my first time ordering it, but it definitely won't be my last. I shared it with my husband, although I probably could have easily housed it by myself in that Florida heat and humidity and because it really was that good. The treat is a pineapple cake with pineapple streusel, caramel, and ice cream. The cake was moist and a great texture to complement the rest of the dessert. It wasn't too tart and it wasn't overly sweet. It was perfect. The service was ehh. The girl who rung me up was friendly, but the other CMs handing out the orders were completely disengaged and gossiping the whole time I was waiting for my order. There wasn't even eye contact or response when I thanked them for the order upon pickup. There were about four of us piled up waiting for our orders, so the gossiping was not a good look as the wait times were building up. Other than that, overall positive experience and tasty product.

Vanilla ice cream, pineapple cake with a caramel crisp drizzle. Say no more! This was a fun find for me since I don't go to the animal kingdom often. The line moved really fast and it was made to order!

Egg, sausages and cheese biscuit. Available morning for breakfast

Wanted something to eat in the morning and not much is open before 11am. Stopped by this place. Many drinks available and some snack. I tried the egg sausage and cheese on biscuit. It was ok. I don't like biscuit but couldn't find anything else that I felt I wanted. If you like biscuit, you will like it more then me for sure. It was hot which is nice. I couldn't taste the cheese at all although I did see it. The egg and sausage were ok. My girlfriend tried a savoury snack that I don't recall the name. She liked it. I would say unless you really want a biscuit with all of this, skip this snack. I can't vouch for the drinks and other snacks.

Croissant pretty standard but a decent size. Hot Cocoa

Went here for the pineapple crisp sundae and it was worth every penny. The cake itself is so tasty and along with the homemade caramel and crumble, it was a solid hit!!!! Will get again!

Tamu Tamu is a refreshment stand in Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. They have the famous Dole Whips, but...don't overlook the delicious Pineapple Crisp Sundae! My husband and I share this because it is a nice size & served on top of a piece of pineapple crisp cake. Recommend Tamu Tamu & ENJOY!

Came for breakfast and had a honey pistachio croissant! Nothing crazy! It tasted exactly as you would expect. A good option.

Order their pineapple crisp sundae and thank me later!! It's such an amazing dessert. Not overly sweet and the crumble is delicious

Wow this place had the best dole whip. Staff were friendly. Mickey Cinnamon roll was huge. We sat at the tables to eat.

DOLE Whip- Pineapple Cup with Parrot Bay Coconut Rum

Dole Whip is a must when visiting Disney! Surprisingly, We didn't see many dole whip shops around the parks so when we saw this one in Animal Kingdom, we had to get it. Even though it wasn't super hot out since we came in January, it was still a refreshing treat. We got the dole whip with coconut rum but you barely taste the alcohol since there was so much of the dole whip. It was the perfect consistency, super creamy and pineapple flavor stood out nicely.

I didn't know I wanted the pineapple crisp sundae until I saw someone walking with it, and had to stop and ask her what it was and where did she get it. I immediately told my family that it was time for a snack and lined up to grab one. We found some seating around the corner and proceeded to devour the dessert. It was so delicious or maybe we're just too hungry?! Whatever it was, we enjoyed it and regret not getting another one before leaving the park.

I can't explain it- the dole whip tastes better in Magic Kingdom for me. BUT you can get it with alcohol here which is pretty fun! It does chance the texture a little bit and obviously the taste too lol. I'd classify it as a medium-high priority snack for an adult Disney trip in Animal Kingdom. I've also tried the Simba Sunset which has some other flavors mixed in. Not my favorite. The extra flavor just wasn't necessary- but it did make a great photo! Maybe there isn't anything that can truly top that insanely good, yet simple pineapple soft and creamy treat. I'm truly obsessed with dole whip- and apparently I'm also a minimalist when it comes to enjoying it. This snack stand is in a great location- just far enough away from the entrance where you're going to start feeling hungry for a snack. The line is always pretty long when I've been, but when you want some amazing dole whip- you know it's worth the wait!

You get a HUGEEE portion of it!

This has been on my must-try list every time we've visited Disney Springs, but the line is usually…read more30-45 minutes long. I've always wondered if these cookies could really be that good. After finally trying them...I'd say they're absolutely worth the wait. Luckily, we stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon and only waited about five minutes. It was scorching hot outside, but they have umbrellas every few feet along the line, which definitely helps. I had always imagined walking into a large bakery or café where you could sit down with a cookie and coffee. Instead, it's actually a tiny, dark, whimsical shop with a queue that wraps around to the displays. It almost feels like you're walking through a Harry Potter-inspired attraction with its gothic décor and old-world bakery vibe. Despite the small space, they have three checkout registers, so once you're inside, the line moves surprisingly fast. One tip for first-time visitors: don't rely on the cookie menu on the website. Many of those flavors are seasonal or limited editions. The menu card they hand you while you're waiting in line shows the flavors available that day, so decide what you want before you get to the register because ordering is pretty quick. Now for the cookies... Banana Bread Chocolate Chip - 20/10 Without question, the standout. It tasted like warm, homemade banana bread with added chocolate transformed into a giant cookie. Soft, flavorful, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. I would come back just for this cookie. Pistachio Toffee Chocolate Chip - 8/10 A delicious combination of sweet, salty, crunchy, and gooey. I can definitely see why it's one of their most popular flavors, but the banana bread still stole the show for me. Cookies & Cream - 5/10 It was just okay. Very rich and sweet, like a giant Oreo cookie but it didn't have the depth of flavor or uniqueness of the other two. I probably wouldn't order it again. The cookies are huge and easily shareable. The funniest part? My son bought an extra cookie to take home for his girlfriend...but after one bite, he decided to keep it for himself! And that's saying something because he's really into health and fitness and rarely eats sweets. If you're wondering whether Gideon's lives up to the hype, I'd say yes. The wait is worth it, and the Banana Bread Chocolate Chip completely stole the show. It's the cookie I'll be thinking about long after this trip.

The outside looks like the entrance to a haunted ride and the line to enter confirms it. The inside is decorated super gothic feeling like an old edger Allan Poe poem. Speaking of which, all the old books aren't for show. These are actually aged real readable books, some probably worth quite a bit. There is an actual authentic 1829 "Works of Edger Allan Poe" book right at the counter. Expensive. The cookies are large thick and filling. Not to sugary at all. We had pistachio, cookies and cream, banana chocolate chip and peanut butter chocolate chip. Now here's the thing. They are great cookies cause the flavor isn't just a cup of sugar and some dough. You can taste the flavors and they work. But don't expect an explosion in your mouth. It's obvious they are going for real flavors that allow their own sweetness to shine. Here is the best thing to do. Cut your cookies in half and share amongst friends, or if your big backing have it all. BUT I refrigerated them over night and had one after a minute in the microwave and another cold straight out of the refrigerator and WOW! It took a very good cookie to something spectacular. The flavors just POP! I don't know what which-craft is involved in this but the spell definitely works. Find Gideon's, make the line and get a mix of cookies and a few slices of cake and head home for some Netflix and dessert!

First of all, the flavors read like someone dared a chef to turn a farmer's market, a cocktail bar, and a childhood memory into dessert--and somehow it works. I sampled things I cannot pronounce, things I would normally avoid, and at least one flavor that sounded like it belonged in a Thanksgiving side dish. Every single one made me pause mid-bite like, "Wait... why is this actually amazing?" The staff? Unreasonably patient. I asked for so many samples I started to feel like I was conducting a scientific study. Not once did they judge me. If anything, they enabled me. What I appreciate most is that it's not just gimmicky weirdness--there's actual thought behind every flavor. You can taste the intention, the creativity, and possibly a little chaos. Final verdict: Salt & Straw is what happens when ice cream stops playing it safe, goes to art school, and comes back with bold ideas and great taste. They do offer a small selection of croissant sandwiches and specialty beverages, but for us, it's all about the desserts. From their signature creations to seasonal offerings, everything is visually stunning and (most of the time) absolutely delicious. That said, while most items are fresh and flavorful, we have experienced a few cakes that were a bit dry and seemed over baked. It's not the norm, but worth mentioning. Anyone else experience this? To call Mango Mango a boba shop would do it injustice, as this place truly shines as a hollistic dessert spot. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the selections. Each dish/drink is perfectly made to their own specifications. The best part is that none are overly sweet, which I feel is a crutch that most dessert spots experience.
