Golden Glow staff is very friendly and knowledgable (which is important to me). Thankfully they don't have any high pressure sales tactics when it comes to packages or tanning products. Although having protective eye wear is mandatory and makes sense! The equipment is top of the line and it seems like the bulbs are changed regularly as the tanning experience is fantastic! I've gone for about 4 sessions now and the difference is clear. Tanning packages are priced comparable to salons I've gone to in the past (that offer high pressure beds) and the referral incentives for friends are more than fair. There is a discount for new members as well. I've always found that dirt cheap tanning prices equal a cheap tan that fades quickly. The interior is spotlessly clean and there is free parking available on site (and close) as parking is shared with the attached condo. Also an important component (to me) is the fact that they have a website so I could further research the equipment before going.

The vibe, the service, the results... nothing compares. Every visit feels like a mini vacation, and I walk out looking like I just spent a week in the tropics. Their attention to detail is unreal, the beds are spotless, and the staff makes you feel like you're part of the Bora Bora family. I've tried other places over the years, but nobody even comes close. The facility is newly renovated and the machines are high quality. The owner is knowledgeable and generous. The only real issue here is that around 30% of the time I go there, it's closed. I went during Canada Day weekend and the doors were stuffed with frustrated notes from customers. I talked to the owner about this issue and he said he's having some family issues so he's had to take time off, but can't hire additional help. However, looking at the history of reviews here and on Google, it sounds like his absence during business hours isn't a new phenomenon. I explained that he's a storefront and this gives people a really negative public perception. He's taking 2 months off starting tomorrow, so the store will be closed July 28 through Sep 28 (2019). tldr; nice place but call before you go.

I wanted a trial before doing it on my wedding day just to see how it would look. The result is amazing it really just looks like a real sub tan! I'm usually a pale skin that burns and doesn't tan much, so that option was great for me. Jen was also very professional which is very important since you are totally naked to get your spray tan... She also gave me good advice on how to keep my tan longer, what soap to not use etc. I will be returning a couple of days before my big day now that I'm satisfied with the result!

Made an appointment for makeup and hair, thru whassap messaging. Asked for the price, okayed the time, and remarked that 19% is a big tax. Not once said we're not coming. Showed up after traveling from America, hundreds of miles only to be told her assistant, Hannah was already booked. Hannah questioned us, wanted to see proof that this indeed was the time slot, implying we were lying somehow. My friend burst into tears when she was told the appointment was never confirmed. Whenever she can't make an appointment she has made it clear as crystal. On top of it, when my friend got upset, the other makeup/hair people who occupied the building looked at my friend like she was a freak, as if they have never seen someone cry before. They didn't really try to comfort her at all (offering her a bottle of water? How about a hug?) and then the woman on the first floor insisted we leave the building in order to call Jennifer.We were told maybe Hannah could squeeze my friend in but when pressed that was a no-go. They tried to call one place which of course was totally booked. Jennifer apologized and said it was her fault, not theirs, however, she never gave us follow up, made no attempts to make it right, and when I called her today she refused to take responsibility at all. My friend was humiliated, felt like she was treated less than human. Fortunately we found another place, at the very last minute, literally who took my friend in and treated her with respect, dignity and utmost professionalism. That is the bright spot to this sad story, which includes my friend missing her event's scheduled start time because of this fiasco. My friend's heart was broken-she came to love Jennifer as a friend....This is no way to treat a loyal customer...or friend.

The machine only had solution that came out of one half of the machine. I brought it to the attention of the staff member who was working who advised to contact her once I showered to let her know if it developed ok. I contacted her the next day when I got out of the shower to find one side of my body tanned and the other with no colour at all. I sent her pictures and she advised that she would get back to me after speaking with the owner. By the time I heard back I was already on the plane so she left a voicemail telling me that I would have a free spray tan on my account for whenever I needed it. Fast forward to today when I attempted to use said tan. The manager was a complete bitch right from the get go and gave me attitude refusing to go out the tan. She then called the owner who also refused to allow me to use the tan even though I still have the voicemail to confirm the situation. I had been more than willing to pay for the tan if there was an issue when I first walked in but after the disgusting attitude I just walked out and will be going else where. The salon is filthy and dated. Staff are rude and nasty. For a business that never seems to have anyone in there they sure don't seem to appreciate the customers they actually have walking thru the door. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere

This one has been the best so far. The location is good. Free parking in the evenings and along the side of the street. A little hard to find, as Luxe Tanning should not be confused with Luxe Destination Wedding planning, the first thing you see when you step into the small plaza. Keep walking around the pub, and you'll find it. The girls here are really friendly, courteous and thoughtful. Booking my appointment, they helped me consider the timing, and explained to me everything I needed to know before and after the tan. I was also running late,and they were able to accommodate me. What they have here is VERSA SPA. If you're going to a spray tan anywhere, not just here, try to find this machine. It's better than Mystic Tan, and this other one I tried at belliar. It left no streaking, very minimal smell, and a very natural colour. In the end I looked like the colour I became after my week long trip in Mexico. It was super easy to use with a electronic guy that talks and guides you through. Their suggestions to prep for this is to be able to shower prior. It will help get rid of excess oils and help the pH of your skin so the colour can take better. You also have an option to get a $5 prep spray. Afterwards you can also get a $5 moisturizing finishing spray. From the girl's suggestion, she said it was better to get the finishing spray than the first one, if you had to choose. Since I came in here with a Fabfind, I got both, I can't tell if it made a difference or not. Before going into the booth, you have to put some barrier cream on your cuticles or anywhere that's dry. I was confused because for Mystic Tan they tell you to put globs of it on your finger nails, and a light layer on the tops of your hands and feet. Here, she said, anywhere that's dry, thin layer. It makes sense, because then the colour goes into the creases, potentially and looks funny. Put some on your cuticle and fingers (if have lots of lines) and thin around your feets. You step into the machine, and you have to do 4 poses, (instead of jut back and front). Back, Front, and Two sides. The deep electronic voice guy will guide you and there are pictures on the side. My only complaint about this is that it's COLD. I was shivering in there, even with the heater! The whole thing took about less than 10 mins, but a bit longer before where she was explaining to me the whole procedure. The other thing that was pretty awesome was that about 2mins after I was done, the machine started to self clean. This means, no stink from the person before you, and no brown soles of your feet from the previous person. Win win for the tanning studio and for me! There are 3 colour choices, and I picked 2 (1 being the lightest, and 3 being the darkest). It was really natural looking for me and was perfect. but I may try the darker one next time. You cannot shower for 12 hours and the colour will develop over time. I did notice that after my shower, a good amount of the colour washed off, but continued to develop over time (like magic). It's been about 2 days, and the colour is till there, but my face (which I do wash a lot) is noticeably lighter. The colour comes off the more I scrub. I can't see this lasting more than a week. I fully recommend this for any spray tan, especially if you're scared about streaking and a non-orange look!
