I went here to get three piercings; two lobes and a helix. The ad on their website entails, "Get…read moreyour ears pierced for FREE with the purchase of a set of earrings at Caryl Baker Visage!" This was true for my lobe piercings, I paid $59 for the set of earrings and that's what I was charged. However, I was charged $75 for my helix piercing, in purchasing a SET of earrings that cost only $69--for a SINGLE helix. They did not provide me with the other earring in the set that I had purchased. I realized this after I had them pierced, and returned a few days later to ask about it. The employee told me that helix piercings are not, in fact, free, and the $75 included the cost of the single earring I had purchased, as well as the piercing fee that had not been, in any way, mentioned on their website. Although I'm aware that helix piercings might cost more than lobes, this was not at all mentioned during the entire process, leading me assume that they had no extra cost, which I find incredibly dishonest. This lack of transparency really bothered me as a customer, and although the attendant who pierced my ears had been generally kind and professional, I will not be returning to Caryl Baker Visage anytime soon. While it seems fine to have your lobes pierced here, I highly recommend against helix piercings, as I would not want to support a dishonest company like this one. (Not to mention that $75 is a crazy price for one piercing? Highly, highly un-recommend--especially since the piercing was done with a gun, which is known to be less safe and sanitary than a needle. I think this shows a lack of professionalism/training among employees? There was also only one employee when I went there the first time, and two (one in the front, one in the back room) the second time. Not sure why they never have many employees around? Anyways. Definitely not a great place to get piercings, you're better off trying a tattoo parlour or something).

She specializes in tape, fusions, and custom clip-in extensions. I got tape extensions at a summer price deal for $315 for 20' but since her supplier didn't have 20' she got 24' and gave me the choice to cut it down to 20' but I just kept the 24' inch. She did not charge me for having 24' inch extensions because it wasn't my fault. As for the colour, it was right on! My hair colour was #14 and #22. Blending these two colours made the extensions look natural. The only thing is, if you have really short hair and you're getting really long extensions, you MUST get a haircut to blend your extensions with your hair to look more natural. Either Michelle can give you a haircut or you can go to your own hairstylist. Michelle gives you the option to have your extensions curled or straightened when you're done with no charge. My hair was left straightened and it looked absolutely amazing. She also told me background information about who has the right type of hair for either tape or fusion extensions. For instance, if you have really weak brittle hair, she will not do fusions even if you requested to because she knows it will damage your hair so she recommends an alternative either tape or clip-ins. Because I have coarse hair and my roots are healthy, Michelle said I can try fusion extensions if I wanted to since my hair can handle the process. Also, you wanna make sure that the place you are going to get extensions has really good quality extensions. I've had my extensions for exactly 3 weeks and my extensions are still soft and manageable. She also gives you a sheet with how to properly care for your extensions to make them last longer. This isn't a salon, it's her home but it certainly does feel like a salon, just with less noise from people. When booking an appointment with her, she is really flexible. What I like is that she's open later than most places which is a plus if you have a really busy schedule. Thank you Michelle!

I am so very glad that I finally gave in and tried out false lashes (thanks to the Cinderella Lash…read moregive away on YELP) This was my very first time trying Cinderella lashes (temporary clusters) and I am sold! Irene, the owner, greeted me warmly and led me into the procedure room where I was met by the sounds of cool Jazz (Irene's a fan) and a super soft treatment table. We discussed options, my physical limitations (hooded eyelids and glasses) and the look that I wanted (full cat eye). The procedure was quick (20-30 minutes). Since I was a newbie, Irene talked me through the entire procedure. At the end Irene added a few more lashes to perfect the look, she is meticulous and gentle. I've tried strip lashes before and they were heavy and uncomfortable, I didn't enjoy them at all. My experience with the Cinderella lashes are a totally different story. They're so light, sometimes I forget that I'm even wearing them. Irene did an excellent job getting me the look that I wanted. I would definitely consider coming back and having it done for special occasions like weddings or other occasions.

These are synthetic mink lashes, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I got the mini set, which took about 50 minutes. Took a little nap. After I was done, my eye felt a tiny bit heavy, but felt very natural. I took care of the lashes as instructed by Irene for the first week and half and then I slacked off. Most of the lashes lasted about 2 weeks. I still have a few after 4 weeks. I was worried that more of my natural lashes would fall out than usual, but it was pretty natural. Couple things to consider: It's spring, and some days I wake up with puffy eyes (allergies). So when my lids are puffy, the root of the synthetic lashes dig in a little (they are a tad stiff) I had to pluck out a few lashed because of this. A couple time the synthetic lashes fell in my eye. And getting a regular lash in your eye is bad enough; a thick, synthetic lash is VERY annoying. I don't think I will do this regularly, but I'll certainly come back to Irene when I get t done agian.
