This review is long overdue. I've been a traveling nurse for 7 years and have visited dozens of spray tan salons across the country -- none even come close to Tan with Kare. The attention to detail and level of care the owner has put into every aspect of this business is truly outstanding. I've been tanned by Jordan, Julie, Kate, Karen -- honestly, probably every artist there -- and I consistently walk out with the perfect tan, no matter who sprays me. Their hours are fantastic, especially for those of us working 12-hour shifts who need evening appointments. And my biggest pet peeve with airbrush tans -- feeling wet or sticky afterward -- doesn't exist here. Their drying system and the powder they apply post-tan are lightyears ahead of anything I've experienced elsewhere. They even once walked me to my car with an umbrella -- when it was raining -- just to protect my tan. That's the level of care they show every client. I was so nervous to get my first spray tan! And had contemplated where I'd go for weeks and weeks. I scheduled an appointment with Tan with Kare after reading great reviews & word of mouth. It is quite a drive from my house but I couldn't risk a bad spray tan (as I was getting right before my birthday weekend). Was a great experience! Very comfortable environment, I was the only one in the salon at the time of my appt. The woman working was SO nice, so helpful with my countless questions as I said, I was nervous! It was quick, informative & looked amazing on my skin! The tan lasted 8-10 days & after the initial 24 hour period - the tan was even & beautiful & everything I wanted! I have been spray tanning for about 10 years. I travel a lot and have visited many tanning companies. What a cute shop! Wonderful tanning set up. I felt very comfortable while there. My tan color was set based on my current skin tone. I have never had that happen before! It made it look so natural. I was shocked! It didn't even have that chemical smell that some do. My tan last over a week and probably would have lasted much longer if I wasn't in the water so much on vacation. The other part I loved about this tan, is how it faded. I have had many spray tans in my life but this was by far the best. The color is amazing and very natural looking. I have only been here a few times but already looking for a new place to get spray tans. The owner (Karen) is extremely rude. All of her staff is friendly except for her. I don't know why she even works in the salon if she's going to sit there and not even greet her clients when they come in. The unlucky few times I have met Karen she has barely said a word to me.
