The owner seems really nice, but is rigid and impossible with returns.I've had two rigid and disappointing experiences trying to return items. Last year when I put on a non-descript suede coat without even showing any type of brand, I looked at the tag that I thought was $170. My husband paid for it and failed to check the receipt. When his credit card bounced at a fine dining establishment, we discovered that the charge was $1700. This was far beyond what we could afford. The next day, we immediately took the coat back and the owner, Patti. refused to display any willingness to return any money for the big mistake. Since we live out of the area, it took a year for our return the credit. Today took the cake. In January, I went over the credit and purchased a jacket. Today, I attempted to return the jacket who's tags had been removed and clearly had never been worn. I also had the receipt. When I brought it back to Patti, she refused to return due the tags being removed. I was shocked and will NEVER go to that boutique again.

I thoroughly enjoyed shopping at Ms. Fabulous (and they have an online presence) for a different take on some of these staples (horizontal striped sweater) as well as a few things that are totally different. The prices are super competitive; I didn't feel like anything really soared over $70-100 as a single piece. The clothes feel better made than anything at Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe. And, the shopowner is LOVELY to talk to and was able to recommend other shops in Carmel's downtown that might pique my interest. She said that if people express favorite brands or styles, she tries to reach back out when she gets new items in stock. Amazing. I bought a few items from here, and I will probably try to go back any time I'm in Carmel.

She then tells my younger sister to not touch anything, which makes no sense since this is the whole point of shopping, smh. This lady stood so close behind us and didn't give us room to comfortably shop. She then turns off the light and says "we're closing in 5 minutes" and walks away to another shop across from her store. I found several beautiful items which I set on the counter to purchase.... this rude women then proceeds to belittle me again and remind me that the return policy isn't very forgiving and was I sure I wanted to purchase the items? Are you kidding me? I was only spending $900 and that was just my first stop of the day. Too bad for you moving forward! I would come back the next time I am in Carmel but I choose to stay away from uppity nasty boutique's that aren't really "ALL THAT". I am quite sure that I deserved a little more respect and will advise all of my fellow front line working nurse managers to stay far away from this store as apparently they think treating customers with disrespect is acceptable. I will take my business elsewhere and spread the word about my experience.

Everytime I'm in Carmel (which is almost everyday) I love what I see in the window so I finally trotted in there today and was welcomed by a sweet young stylish lady. The ambiance is warm and welcoming and they are not pretentious like surrounding boutiques. They carry some everyday wear and a lot of beautiful evening and special occassion pieces. This place is on the more inexpensive side in regards to boutique shops in Carmel. Next time I need a cocktail dress or just something nice, I will definitely hit up Pamplemousse first.
