Tandoor has become one of my go-to spots when I'm craving Indian food! I tend to find my favorites at a restaurant and keep coming back to them, and here it's definitely the cashew chicken and butter chicken. The butter chicken is rich, creamy and full of flavor -- exactly the kind of comfort food you start thinking about when you haven't had it in a while! The cashew chicken is another favorite and a nice change when I want something a little different. Both dishes have so much flavor without being overwhelming. Indian food is one of those cuisines where the spices and sauces really make the meal, and Tandoor does a great job with both. Everything tastes freshly prepared, flavorful and satisfying. If you're new to Indian food and aren't quite sure what to order, I think the butter chicken is a great place to start. And if you already love Indian food, definitely give the cashew chicken a try. Consistently delicious and fresh. Tonight we tried Chicken Tikka Masala and Vegetable Koft. Freshly made Chai tea. Everything was perfect.

The food is always extremely good. The place is decent and kept clean. Best and only indian restaurant I care to go to at this point.

The restaurant is definitely smaller than the one across the street. But the atmosphere is much more relaxed. Service was great. Be patient as I only saw one person really working the phones, the front, taking orders, refilling drinks, cleaning, etc. A couple of people would come out from the back with food but the waitress/hostess was really working extra hard and with a smile on her face the whole time. Food was delicious. I got butter chicken medium. My kids got mild. My older son ended up sharing my medium because he liked the spiciness and extra flavor. Garlic naan was good. We also got rice pudding. I'm not a fan of any rice pudding but my husband said it was good. They serve fountain drinks that are Coke products. Plenty of parking in the front. Here are the dishes I've had and how I'd rate them: Vegetable korma: 10/10. Perfection. I get vegetable korma at every Indian restaurant I eat at/have ordered from. Tandoor's is my favorite and you can rely on tht mild actually being mild. Entrees- Aloo Gobhi Masala: 9/10 very good Channa Sag: 9/10 Interestingly tastes like a broccoli and cheese soup. We just moved here and haven't had Indian food in a couple of years, after regularly having it all across the US prior to that. The food was good, we had Chicken Tikka Masala, Naan, Saag Paneer, Balti Bainghan, and Chicken Biriyani. All was good, but having BIriyani at many other places, I would say that this one was not as flavorful. Just okay. The food which I had the chicken Balthi and my mom the chicken tikka masala both were great! And we had butter naan which was soft but crispy it was amazing! Roaming around town this afternoon, my partner and I came upon Tandoor Indian Cuisine. He had heard many great things, and that's where we landed. Not as vegan as he would like, it still didn't disappoint. Our server was wonderful and assisted him with his Vegan options. I had the Madras Shrimp Curry and he wound up ordering the Dal Sag. Our meals were spectacular! I wished I remember the vegan style Naan type fried bread we ordered, because it ROCKED! I tasted it with his Dal Sag and it was amazing. We both ordered our meals with a medium heat and not delivered, my Madras sauce with shrimp was perfect, the shrimp were cooked perfectly and over the bed over rice sent it over the edge. He wound up not eating the rice and getting sautéed veggies as the rice was not vegan, but the curry leaves in the sauce stole the show in my dish! I had never had curry leaves whole, but it was amazing. I made sure to bring home leftover and sauté more shrimp tomorrow. I know the sauce will only get better. Quaint little restaurant hidden away in a shopping plaza. We will be back. There were so many things on their extensive menu I want to try. The food is delicious (deserves a 5), but food is consistently 30-45 minutes later (for takeout or pickup) than they say it will be ready. It is very, very frustrating. You definitely have to order before you are hungry. I ordered at 6:30 pm and delivery came at 8:10 pm. On tracking you can see the food wasn't ready until 8:05 pm, so it can not be blamed on the driver. We usually order the Tandoor chicken, saag, chana masala, and naan. All are delicious. read more

I was super excited to give this place a try since I haven't had good Indian food in a while. When we walked into the restaurant, you know you found the perfect Indian spot when you could smell the distinct Indian spice aroma throughout the place. I already convinced myself that nothing could go wrong with the food here. Sadly I spoke too early and should have let the food speak for themselves. To start off, we got naan and samosa. The samosa was perfect. Definitely on par with some of the best Indian restaurants that I've gone to so far. The naan was also buttery and full of flavor. Unfortunately the big star of the night was the lamb korma, which was a huge letdown. It was flavorless and barely spiced up. Probably the most bland korma that I've had ever. I'm not sure if they did it intentionally because I told the waitress that I cannot tolerate spicy food, but the food was just way too under spiced for anyone's liking. Great start of a meal, but very disappointing ending. Parking is easy since the restaurant is located in a parking lot with plenty of spaces. I would honestly probably give this place another try since I feel like the lamb korma I got was probably not an accurate representation of their food in general. I came to Tandoor Indian Cuisine with really high expectations and while I did like my experience there were definitely good and not so good things I noted about the restaurant. Most of my negative points can be fixed if the staff are willing to take the constructive criticism. My overall rating for my experience today is a 3.5 (so I rounded it up to 4). PLUSES +++: 1. Kind and attentive service. 2. Decent food arrival time. 3. Nice portion size meals. 4. Fair pricing. NEGATIVES - - -: 1. The lamp right above us was very dusty/spider wed filled. 2. Both my Tikka Masala and another member of the party's Butter Chicken were severely under salted. So much so that if it isn't fixed we would only consider taking it to go next time so that we can salt it ourselves. Overall I'll be willing to try this place again but compared to Curry Leaves in Tampa, which is the only other Indian restaurant I've tried in the area it just doesn't meet up flavor wise. read more

The best thing about it is when you put in the order, THEN they start cooking the dishes, not that microwavable processed food. I had my food mild and it still had a nice kick to it. It was great! It's a family owned restaurant, and a hidden gem on Brandon Blvd. It happens to be in the same strip mall as Marco's Pizza. I was surprised when my husband suggested we try it. We have both recently acquired a taste for Indian curry. It's a strange thing (especially for me) because I never really liked curry until a couple of years ago. I started with Thai, and now I'm loving Indian curry. Who knew? We arrived for lunch on a Friday. We were warmly greeted by a gentleman who I believe is the owner (or a family member). Kait was our server, and she was sweet and knowledgeable when asking about the spice levels. We played it safe by ordering the chicken tikka masala. It's really the only curry that we know we like. I asked for medium spice, and he went for the hot spice. Only because he wanted to gauge the difference between "hot" and "Indian hot" (which is the highest spice level). It took a while for the food to come out of the kitchen. I don't mind as long as the food is good, and it most certainly was. I tried the rose lassi while we were waiting. I'm definitely in love with this drink. I'd get it again and again. I'm so glad I read other reviews about it. It really was the perfect yogurt drink to have with spicy curry; to tone down the spice. The garlic naan came out at the same time as the tikka masala. I think it's supposed to be that way as it's usually a side to a meal and not necessarily an appetizer. Either way, it worked out very well. Everything was delicious! The medium was medium, and the hot was hot. It was perfect for both of us. My husband could have used a little more spice, but I thought his preparation was very hot. I'm not sure I could have tolerated that level of spice. It all kind of creeps up on you as you're eating it. The sauce had a nice creamy tomato base. There was a lot of lean white meat chicken that was very tender. It was enough for 2 big meals. We took home the rest of it. As you know, it's even better the next day as the spices blend together. Honestly, I can't wait to go back and try more of their cuisine. Everything was great, and totally worth the wait. The prices are reasonable. They also give a military discount, so make sure you ask. We will be returning very soon. I want to applaud the honest workers here - I came for dinner on a BUSY dine in night with my family. Not only did the workers there remember me from the one time I came with my family two months prior but I ALSO left my purse full of cards, cash, and gift cards under my table. I did not notice it was not in my possession until the next day and I was a worry wart all morning until I called when they opened. Right away they knew it was me and said they had it. I went and picked it up and everything was inside. They are truly not only so kind to have kept my purse for me but not to have done anything with my belongings. Started bad, ended a little better. I called the place to put in an order and everything on their Yelp menu was no longer being served. The person I was speaking to had never even heard of the things I was asking for. I tried again, again they didn't have what I was asking for. The third attempt they had, we just didn't like it. I am by no means an expert on Indian cuisine but it wasn't like what I've had before. For example, I've never had a bad chicken tandoori. What I got looked like chicken tandoori but it lacked flavor.
