I frequently order dinner on uber eats but we were in the area and thought to stop and eat in. There was a strong smell of sewerage so we decided to take out. Food is good and I hope the smell was a temporary problem.

I'm not sure where this place gets bad reviews on their wine, but they have a very big wine list all by the glass. They do not have a liquor license. I had Prosecco and Chianti and both of which were really good. My husband ordered the Taj Mahal beer, which was also good. We ordered the vegetable pakora, lamb, curry, chicken, khorna, and garlic naan. Our food was great & we'll be back again. As far as service goes, it was good too. This is more of a mom & pops kind of place. So food and service may not be as fast as some reviewers may expect. If you're a foodie, you'll enjoy this spot.

The food was some of the best Indian food we have had. The 3 of us ordered a bunch of items and did our own version of family style and stuffed ourselves!

We visited on a Sunday and ordered for pickup on Door Dash. There was easy parking but only a few spaces available, so during bust hours it might be more difficult. For food we ordered the Chicken Korma, $17, the samosa $7 which comes with two and the Gulab Jamun $5 for dessert. We didn't specify a spice level for the Chicken Korma, so it came out mild. The portions were rather small for the price and the chicken was a little dry. I really wished they still offered the samosa chat, I guess it's an older menu item. I was very surprised to see the dessert only came with two balls, kinda small portion considering it was $5. I liked that the food came out rather quickly since we ordered to go but was disappointed with portion sizes.

Celebrating our sons 18th birthday - his request was Indian so we decided to check out Flames. The ambiance was wonderful, quiet and peaceful. We were some of the first in for dinner and ordered 3 appetizers, some paneer, samosa and the shrimp dish pictured. All were great and came out quickly. For dinner we got the three dishes pictured and ever single one was great. The flavors were great and not too spicy. This was my husbands first experience with Indian cuisine and when I asked him to describe the food tonight this is what he had to say "the combination of meat and spices brought the type of joy that can only be compared to the first time I saw my first born son take his first steps"

Visited on the Saturday evening for dinner. The restaurant was extremely busy and I had to wait for seating, I didn't mind as the wait was short. I had the paneer which was absolutely delicious along with the lamb biryani, the biryani was flavorful and tasted amazing. I got the food with medium spice and it was the perfect level of heat. Overall, I had a great time and I'm excited to come back again.

Both good beers! I prefer Kingfisher though

There were sangria cards scattered across the bar, so that seemed like the obvious drink choice. Service was prompt, and our drinks arrived quickly. For dinner, I ordered the Lamb Shahi Korma. The creamy cashew-butter gravy was delicious, and when the bartender asked how spicy I wanted it, I said, "hot, but not Indian hot." It came with the perfect amount of heat and a great kick of flavor. I also ordered a side of garlic naan, which was outstanding. My husband ordered a chicken dish that arrived a deep pinkish-red color. It was flavorful, though I found it a little dry when I tried a bite. After noticing several people around the bar ordering Taj Mahal beer, I decided to give it a try. It was a good, easy-drinking lager with nice flavor. The bartender was incredibly busy, so another staff member brought it over. The only downside of the evening was that I had finished my water and ended up waiting about 10 minutes with nothing to drink while eating a spicy dish. I also used the restroom, which was very clean and well maintained. On my way there, I walked through the dining room and got a better sense of just how busy the restaurant was. Guests pass by the kitchen window, and I was impressed by how many staff members were working and how efficiently they seemed to handle the crowd. On the opposite wall, you can see where they set up their buffet, which I'd definitely like to come back and try. Overall, despite service slowing down a bit during the rush, the food and drinks were very good. Given how packed the restaurant was, the staff did a commendable job keeping things moving. I would definitely return.

I swear they're adding something addictive in their food because I always plan my next trip to Roti WHILE eating my current meal. The restaurant is cute. They've done a great job renovating the place. It's quite cozy with a combination of booths and tables. They have a buffet for lunch, so I plan to make that my next visit. I was shocked how busy it was. Their to-go orders are non-stop. Even though there were few patrons dining in, the rotation of online order pick ups was unbelievable. This is why the kitchen was fully staffed and the servers were widdled down to one. Don't go in there and expect stellar service. The waiter answers phones, runs food, and takes orders. He's a real life Superman, but he has split focus. Because the kitchen is so fast, you don't have time to feel neglected. Overall, I'm still a super fan. I'll probably stick to takeout, but it's my go-to spot while in Riverview. Highly recommend you give it a go.

Where My Taste Buds Got a Workout and My Ego Got Humbled…read more I walked into Lajawab Indian thinking, "Yeah, I can handle spice." Reader... I could not. But what a beautiful journey it was. We kicked things off with samosas and onion bhaji, which were so crispy and delicious I briefly considered ordering 47 more and calling it a personality trait. Then someone said, "Let's get pani puri," and suddenly I was playing flavor roulette with little crunchy water bombs of joy. 10/10 chaos. Then the mains arrived... and this is where things got serious. The butter chicken was so rich and creamy it felt like it had a trust fund. Smooth, perfectly spiced, and honestly disrespectful to every other butter chicken I've ever had. We also got chicken tikka masala, which came out looking innocent... but had just enough spice to remind me that I am, in fact, not built for war. Someone ordered the lamb chops masala and let me tell you--those things were so tender they basically surrendered the moment you looked at them. Unreal. And then... the garlic naan. I don't trust anyone who doesn't like garlic naan. This was elite. Fluffy, buttery, slightly crispy... I would fight for this bread. We tried to be responsible adults and added sides like raita and chutneys, but let's be honest--they were just there to help us survive the spice level we bravely (and foolishly) chose. Then dessert hit. Gulab jamun--these little syrup-soaked dough balls of happiness--had me questioning why I ever eat anything else. Soft, warm, and dangerously addictive. Was I sweating? Yes. Did I drink an irresponsible amount of mango lassi? Also yes. Would I do it all again? Immediately. Final verdict: Lajawab isn't just a meal--it's an experience. Come hungry, come brave, and maybe don't act tough when they ask your spice level. They've seen people like you before. Absolute 10/10. My mouth is still recovering... but my soul is thriving.
