The best Indian restaurant. Their biryani's are amazing. I love all their food. The location is peefect as it is with an Indian grocery store so I can come eat and shop.

How this place does not have a perfect five star rating is beyond me. I was just thinking about what I was going to have for lunch today, and am bummed I am not in the office to walk over here. The biryani at Hyderabad House is by far the best I've had out of the many establishments here in Columbus. Hands down. The garlic naan here is also my favorite. I have not strayed too far from the biryanis thus far, but my paneer tikka masala was also fantastic. When you first walk in and head to the restaurant area, you're always greeted warmly. The ambiance may not be everybody's cup of tea, as it is inside of an Indian supermarket, but to me this adds to the authenticity of the place and is still plenty relaxing for a nice meal. Service has always been fantastic and professional when I'm there for a work lunch. After having now visited multiple times, I felt compelled to leave a five star review. Keep up the fantastic work and I can't wait to visit again soon!

So I ordered a masala dosa and masala came separately, when I asked the staff I was told you have to tell us specifically to put masala inside masala dosa which didn't made sense to me hence 3 stars....I have ordered some to go so will update the review if needed. I'm traveling from Michigan and had a bad craving of masala dosa, compare to my Charlotte dosa I'll give this a 5/10. Ambience is amazing though, loved that. Update : 3 stars still based on what I ordered.

Authentic. Tasty. Priced fairly. No frills, and none needed. Adjoined with a grocery store.

This was our first time coming here and we were not disappointed. There's plenty of parking, but limited tables to sit at, but they also provide to-go services. The restaurant is located inside the grocery store, so you go into the grocery store to get to the restaurant. We were a bit confused on ordering and for dine-in, you can order at the window and they bring it out when the order is complete. We order a few dishes and bread baskets and I recommend everything! Every dish was spiced well and delicious. Everything tastes authentic and flavorful. All the dishes seemed like they took a lot of time and care to make. The chicken in the chicken dishes we got were tender and juicy! The dishes were also pretty affordable and they give you plenty of food. Be careful what you order because if you can't tolerate spice well, you may not like some of these dishes, but we loved it. Definitely get their bread basket, so you can try 4 types of naan! Definitely a hidden gem and so delicious! Visit and have a great meal.

I went there for lunch yesterday with someone. Ordered a Thali. The food was so bad, unbelievable. Everything on the plate looked and tasted as if it was cooked on an earlier day. Taste was so bad, even bathura was previously cooked. One can easily tell if the bathura if freshly fried or not. Just plain old awful. If there was a score of 0, I would have selected that option.

This place is Currently my favorite Indian restaurant to go to. Loved the revised menu. They update their weekend special every week. Food is amazing. It is a small place so will take a while for the service on weekend. However on weekdays their service is quick. They have more carry out order than dine in.

We stopped by Hyderabad House for a carry-out order. The restaurant shares the same entrance and space as an Indian grocery store (Trinethra), and has its own area for customers wishing to dine in. Despite the small space size (and an even smaller kitchen space), the menu here is quite extensive, and one can easily get lost amongst the sea of Biriyani options. During our visit for lunch, we noticed that they had a lot of carry-out orders. The staff did not appear overwhelmed, however, and kept churning out the orders efficiently. Our order was also on time and accurate. We ordered a Chicken Dum Biriyani (a Hyderabadi special), and a Chicken Tikka Biriyani (clearly NOT a Hyderabadi special). The dum biriyani was decent - good portion size, correct chicken to rice ratio, and the right level of spiciness. The chicken tikka biriyani was a different story altogether - it came in the same container as the dum biriyani but had maybe 2 small pieces of boneless chicken. I think the key to ordering food at this restaurant is knowing what not to order - they appear to do well with certain menu items and are well below average with certain other items. The place has potential, but they should either ramp up the quality of all their menu items or narrow down their offerings to what they do best.

The definition of a hole in the wall place; was first second guessing based on the crowd of people and the overwhelmed hosts, however we chose to stay and I'm so glad we did. The tandoori chicken was to die for, sizzling on the platter and absolutely delicious. The garlic naan was incredible, so was the butter chicken, all 3 dishes were eaten right up. I would say some of the best Indian food I've had, coming from an Indian person. Don't let the ambiance turn you away, if you are looking for outstanding Indian food, this is the place to go.

I went to the supermarket around noon on 09/15, and found there were a bunch of roaches on the restaurant kitchen wall where they kept rice bags.

We started with the Chicken 65 appetizer (dry version) and the fish appetizer, both of which were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The chicken biryani was another highlight--aromatic, well-seasoned, and very satisfying. To finish the meal, I enjoyed a cup of their house chai tea, which was the perfect ending. Service was fast and attentive. Our server greeted us immediately, and both our drinks and food arrived quickly. The restaurant isn't very large, but when we visited on a weekday, it wasn't crowded, making for a comfortable dining experience. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the menu offers a wide variety of dishes, so there's something for everyone. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a flavorful Indian meal.

The naan & samosas were tasty, but our main events were flops and it the price of $12+ each, that's unacceptable to me.
