    Chicken Tikka Masala.

When the Itch for Indian food needs scratching, the Tandoori Guys is probably the best option you have in Oceanside. This is one of four locations in San Diego County. I placed my order over the phone for take out, and it was ready in about 20 minutes. When I walked in to pick it up, the place was about 80% full and the food smelled great. Tandoori Guys did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was excellent. Chicken Tiki Masala, Butter Chicken Curry, Sag Paneer, Yellow Dall, Chana Masala, Basmati Rice, Garlic Naan and Papadams. The food is very flavorful and the chicken was nice and tender. We ordered everything medium spicy, but it really tasted like it was hot spicy. We all worked up a sweat eating it. I'm not complaining. Usually when I order food at a medium spice, I can barely taste the heat, but there is plenty of heat to be had over here. Definitely delicious. The Tandoori Guys make some delicious food, and I look forward to going back for more.

This place is great! The lunch special really gives you enough to eat and a nice variety. It's a great way to try their food if you're a first-timer to Indian cuisine. Their food is mildly seasoned. I would have liked a bit more of a flavor punch, but it wasn't lacking at all in overall food enjoyment. The dining area is airy and feels like you're dining both inside and outside which is a nice experience for that area.

Got take out. The pani puri was good - the water was perfect combination of tangy, spicy, and sweet; the puris could be crispier. The samosa chat was good but it was lukewarm and difficult to reheat. The gobi Manchurian was solid. The Ras malai was spoiled! It smelled odd and the "Ras" was solidified and one bite left a terrible bitter taste. Very disappointed!

I knew upon entering that I would absolutely love this place; the ambience and decor are elegant and stunning! There's lots of black, some gold and walls of mirrors that open up the interior. Sounds Vegas-y, but it really works. I ordered a mango lassi, the veggie samosas and tandoori chicken. I ended up with the drink to-go as they made it fresh and it took a bit longer than expected. The food came out fast; everything was delicious without the sauce accompaniments. The samosas were a bit salty but I had a huge carafe of water to myself. I didn't know the chicken was going to be bone-in; I was so happy to get drumsticks! My server was friendly and calm (which translates to: soft-spoken). I arrived close to opening time with a few other patrons... it was fairly quiet but I had trouble hearing him even when he was right next to me. Overall, I LOVE this restaurant and am looking forward to trying the curries and lunch special. Pros: - ambience and decor - fairly small, concise menu - water is not tap - friendly - reasonable prices + lunch special - food presentation - open all day (many Indian places close midday) - bar seating and table options, lovely patio Cons: - parking sucks (can park free at transit center and walk over) - none really

So good you'll want to lick the plate clean! the chicken tikka masala was both yummy and comforting. The waiter was very nice and attentive! Price is similar to other Indian restaurants. The place is nicely decorated and clean. Will go again!

Tandoori guys has just opened in Oceanside!! We stopped by a few minutes before they opened, but they saw us and opened the doors so we didn't have to wait outside. Our experience is below.. Eats. * Butter naan. Delicious! * Garlic naan. Really can't go wrong, especially if you like garlic. It's delicious and addicting. * Mango lassi. Kids split a cup and loved it. * Chicken korma (comes with rice). This was my favorite. I love the chicken peshawari from the Carlsbad location, and was pretty happy when they said the chicken korma was the same thing. The chicken was tender and the curry itself was packed with flavor. * Tikka masala (comes with rice). A great option if this is your fave/go-to. You can't go wrong with it. We ordered both the korma and tikka masala mild - but both dishes had the perfect flavor with a little kick to it, it was perfect for someone who can't do anything spicy! Location. Next to North Coast Roastery, to the right of the Finn hotel and the Switchboard restaurant. We love the Carlsbad location, but it's a little far for us so it was great to see they opened up here! Service. The people are very friendly and helped answer our questions. Welcome to the neighborhood! We look forward to coming back. Everything was delicious!! Would love to see some lunch specials, too.

Great place! Indian food is typically pretty expensive, but Tandoori Guys has really reasonable prices and even have happy hour for wine. Food was really good, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you're eating at a 5-star restaurant at a 3-star price. We stuck to the staples (saag paneer, tikka masala, samosas) and we were definitely happy with our choices. Looking forward to going back to try some different items!

We liked this place. We came here on a weekend night and it wasn't too crowded. We ordered the reshmi Malai kabab, the Malai kofta and garlic naan. The food tasted good, no doubt about it. However, the reshmi Malai kabab was a gravy based dish instead of melt in the mouth dry kebabs that we expected. Pricing is decent for the Oceanside area. There is street parking around the area. The service was decent.

Went in for lunch... it was delicious. Had the lunch special which was rice, chicken korma, chole masala and naan. We ordered a 5 for spice level and it was perfect. The seating as super comfortable and service was friendly and quick. Highly recommend... we"ll be back

Three of us were hungry and the aroma coming from the kitchen made us twice as hungry. We ordered 2 vegetable dishes, Palak Paneer and Aloo Matar. The Palak Paneer which is spinach with cheese was delightful. It is our favorite vegetable dish and tied our entrees together. It's comforting and savory. The Aloo Matar fresh peas and potatoes were as delicious but hard to compare with the Paneer. I did like the peas a lot. For our entrees we had the Chicken Kadai, Lamb Tarkari and Chicken Tandoori. All came with basmati rice. The chicken kadai had a nice spicy kick. The lamb was tender and lots of cinnamon notes. The tandoori was crispy, tender and juicy. The Garlic cilantro naan was tasty, soft and buttery and great with soaking in all the curry sauce. All the flavors hit the right spot and were all delicious! We had a tiny leftover left of the rice, naan and Aloo Matar. Otherwise we devoured our entire meal. It was that yummy!!! We love this place. Everything about our experience felt like your grandmother or aunties made these food just for you. It was that authentic and cozy! If you're by Carlsbad and want to experience the taste of Nepal, Indian and Tibetan cuisine, this place is for you. They will treat you like family. Pair that with their Masala Chai, and you are in culinary heaven. The mall location means parking is a breeze, the seating is plentiful, the hygiene is immaculate, and the owner and staff are genuinely wonderful people to talk to. Everything is flawless until you ask for extra napkins, at which point the hospitality ends and the Great Napkin Depression begins. The atmosphere instantly shifts, and you are treated less like a dining guest and more like a fraudulent loan applicant. Even the sketchiest hole-in-the-wall joints leave a full box of napkins on the table and the fast-food drive-thrus throw handfuls of paper at you, but here? You are handed exactly one single, microscopic, budget-grade square per person that feels mathematically engineered to dissolve on contact. It's a tease, not a tool. Final verdict: Unless you are emotionally attached to good-quality napkins, or don't mind smuggling a roll of Bounty in your jacket pocket, you absolutely must visit this place for the food alone!!

Since we were all so happy with our experience, we decided to go back the next day for lunch! This time I ordered the chicken lunch combo, which came with rice and naan, and I chose to get butter chicken and chicken curry. The lunch meals are premade and served from warming tubs, as opposed to the made to order dinner meals. It was still very delicious however! The butter chicken had a rich, pungent flavor, and the meat had a deep red color, I'm assuming from hours of marinating. The chicken curry was great as well, but not quite as good as the butter chicken. I also got a mango lassi, which I had heard all about but had never tried.
