I've been here a dozen times over the last several years, and the quality of the food has gone down in my opinion. For the beef gyro plate I ordered, the meet was overcooked and the rice tasted different than usual. The salad was really sad (see in picture). I think there are better, more affordable options if you're looking for gyro in Worcester. Very disappointed overall

We were visiting my son who lives in the east coast and decided to visit Massachusetts. Craving authentic ethnic food (but not sure which one) googled and yelped. Saw this one as it seemed family/small business owned. Arrived and they had a staff of 3 in kitchen. Ordered by touch screen self-order menu kiosk. We were greeted by a warm welcome/hello from the kitchen by owner. It's a good sign when owner is present. Screen showed menu with photo/price. We ordered several. Wait was about 20-25 minutes because the food was made and heated nicely. Owner apologized for one order they ran out of but replaced it for something else. The owner was friendly and personable. But most of all the food was fantastic. The bread products like the za'atar was one of the best. Makes me think their pizza would be delicious too (we didn't order any pizza). I will put this on my list for favorites next time I visit.

I thought I would take a chance on this spot from reading the positive reviews. I live in Los Angeles and wanted to send some food for delivery to my friends who don't live too far away from the restaurant. Ahmad went above and beyond to make my delivery happen after a mishap due to me not paying attention to the different time zones while choosing a delivery time. He also made sure to let me know if they were out of an item that it could be replaced with someone else. My friends and their kids thoroughly enjoyed their food. I ordered a mix of everything for them to try from pizza to kebabs. I'll make sure to check out this spot myself when I'm in the area. Thank you again, Ahmad for the amazing service! I'm sure my friends will check out the restaurant now that they've tried this delicious Halal food! :) Attached is a pic my friends sent of some of the food I ordered for them. My mouth was watering. It all looked so amazing!

I'm going make this review short and sweet. Tandoori is a hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Lincoln Street. The spicy chicken chop plate is WHERE IT'S AT! Tender pieces of chicken (seasoned beautifully) on a huge bed of white long rice accompanied by a side salad. I asked for creamy Italian for the salad and it was perfect on top. Their version of tzatziki was definitely homemade (with dill being very prominent) and DEFINITELY delicious. I want extra next time. I asked for pita bread on the side and the pieces were massive! $1 a piece and so worth it. They don't skimp on portions here. $12 for a plate that could easily be made into 2 meals is a deal. The owner is a doll and deserves ALL the business. So if you're in the mood for halal...go there...now! P.S. this place is better than Shawarma Palace (yup, I said it).

We were in the area and found this place on Yelp; we totally agree with the other 5-star reviews! The owner greeted us warmly and offered us a taste of the Tandoori chicken, which I ordered with his homemade Naan. Hubby had a shawarma wrap, which he raved about. I took half of mine home! And the baklava... We moved up here a few years ago from NJ and miss easy access to this cuisine. We will definitely be back!

This is a hole in the wall situated in area that you wouldn't expect a delicious restaurant but here they are. The staff is kind and the food worth the stop. The food offerings from kebabs to pizza seem strange but follow the lead of the (Palestinian) staff and go with kebabs, falafel, and don't skip dessert (freshly made pastry with homemade cheese filling). The chicken tikka kebab was perfectly cooked (seasoned with a flavorful rub) and the falafel yummy with a crunchy exterior. The tzatziki sauce was a perfect compliment. There isn't a lot of seating so don't come with a big group but the steady stream of locals getting lunch while running errands is just what this place is for.

Slow service and not the best dine in environment but the food was decent. Naan is not the classic Indian naan.

And we're glad we did! Nice selection of meze plates to share: we had a saganaki (flambéed toasted cheese) that was salty and savory; grilled octopus that was very tender and delicious; creamy umami Greek giant beans (fasolia); and sauteed wild greens (Horta), slightly bitter and refreshing, reminiscent of southern collard greens; and souvlaki of chicken and beef (smoky and tasty - this is what we smelled outside!) with lemon potatoes. Outstanding!

The entire restaurant was empty aside from 2 tables when we arrived. They crammed us literally 6 inches away from 1 of the 2 tables filled. I initially was taken aback but the two ladies sitting next to us kindly slid their table over a tad to give us more space (we were beside a wall to the other side near the door). Honestly - I'm glad I didn't say anything because by 5:30 the entire restaurant was filled and it was nice to have nobody on one side of us. They served bread drizzled with olive oil with some olives to start. There was nothing particularly wrong with the bread, however, being a Greek restaurant, it may have made a lot more sense to serve fresh warm pita as the starter bread course. We ordered the Feta Saganaki to start. That was absolutely the star of the entire show! Very crispy on the outside with a hot gooey feta cheese on the inside, drizzled with ample amounts of honey, and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Absolutely to die for. I started with the Greek sangria - it was fine, but nothing special. My husband got one of the three espresso martini options and he really enjoyed his drink. The restaurant got busy very quickly and it didn't seem they had enough waitstaff on. Everyone was sort of running around with their heads cut off, and service was slow and inattentive at times. For dinner, I had the moussaka. It was very salty and the béchamel sauce on top was sort of gelatinous. It didn't taste bad, but it was a very odd consistency. My husband got the kebab plate with steak and chicken. It was served over a bed of rice with a small side salad. Nobody came back to the table to ask how our meals were after serving us. We really needed salt and pepper, which was not on the table and my husband wanted to order another drink. We had to ask two different servers before we got the drink, but never got the salt or pepper. We took a piece of baklava home to enjoy after the show. It was delicious! We are not in the area and it's unlikely that we would be back to this restaurant in the future. We are foodies at heart and had this been a delicious meal - we likely would have driven all the way back to Worcester just for dinner. It unfortunately sort of missed the mark.

Mo, who helped me with pickup, is exceptionally hospitable, friendly and kind. i ordered the mixed grill feast plate with extra chicken, rice, salad, onions + parsley, three pieces of falafel, plus white sauce, garlic sauce, and fresh tzatziki. the meal is so deliciously fragrant, with the rice smelling and tasting so nutty and sweet, and the meats & falafel seasoned and cooked to perfection. all of the seasonings tasted as if there were 500 flavors packed in and balancing each other in harmony. their sauces were all super fresh; a standard serving is enough but i wish i ordered extra just because. you don't actually need any sauces with how flavorful everything is, though. everything is seriously impressive. mixed grill feast plate 10/10 salad 10/10 falafel 10/10 sauces 10/10 i can't describe this meal as anything other than perfect, no exaggeration. i will definitely return, to eat in or for takeout. special thanks to the amazing reviews that convinced me to try sham restaurant, they are accurate and their food really is *that* good. i can't recommend sham restaurant enough! ambiance: 5/5 food: 6/5 drinks: n/a service: 6/5 sham restaurant: 5/5
