My visit today was great. I just needed some grommets, and had trouble finding them, but when I asked, the staff was super helpful and took me right to them. Not only that, but I was expecting the price to be much higher after having looked up the same item on the Tandy official website. That was a pleasant surprise since usually when I come here I'm bowled over by sticker shock at the register. Nice to have a visit that comes out low priced!

If you need anything related to leather, whether it's making from scratch or repairs, this is the place to go! It's an hour away from me, and totally worth the drive! Abel, Tyler, and Carlos are absolutely the best and go way above and beyond to help you. They have Saturday classes too, so come and learn from them. My highest rating! Thanks again guys!!!

We've spent over an hour in the store on each visit, and each time, Brad has always been helpful and pleasant to work with.

Thankfully, it's not much of a strain on my wallet!. Wilsons Leather sells both genuine and synthetic leather -- and you can tell which is which by the price tag. Being that it's an outlet store, the prices are quite reasonable. There's usually a promo on wallets and smaller handbags, which I adore. Their online store doesn't carry the same deals, but there's usually a sale of some sort if you'd rather not venture out into the middle of nowhere that is Camarillo. The store is huge and quite neat. The emphasis is definitely on bags, pocketbooks, totes, wallets and other such accessories. I personally need wallets with ample pockets and card space, and Wilsons Leather fits that need. Sleek, modern designs in cute colors -- I'm obsessed. There's some clothes, but not much and nothing that's piqued my interest. Leather jackets honestly aren't my thing, so I don't mind that the store doesn't carry a large selection of them. Customer service is efficient and hands-off, which I like. They do try to sell you their leather protection spray at the register, but I don't recommend it unless you're buying real leather. Plenty of parking around the area, though the Outlets also get quite busy. Weekdays are a great time to come by. Weekends... can be a nightmare, to say the least.

Wilson's Leather is a life-saver when it comes to my leather jacket obsession/needs. This store…read morecarries both synthetic and genuine leather for those who either want to pay more for better quality, or save the planet and their wallets. The synthetic leather jackets are all hung using plastic hangers, while the genuine leather products are hung with wooden hangers, which is a simple, yet genius idea. I bought a genuine leather jacket, because the pleather jacket I bought from Forever 21 3 years ago has finally started to crack and peel. I was pretty devastated, because that jacket matched with all of my clothes (granted, I love wearing dark clothes). Wilson's Leather not only has the best discounts, but there are so many styles, that it's almost hard to keep up. Whether you want to go bold with crazy colors, or keep it simple with an A-line, black leather jacket, Wilsons has it all. You seriously can't beat the price here. I used to avoid leather stores, because they're just unappealing, but my goodness, as I'm getting older, I'm loving the leather look more and more. I will definitely come back and buy more jackets once I can save up. You won't be spending hundreds and hundreds on jackets- I just spent approximately $150 on a genuine leather, and couldn't be happier with the size, look, and fit. By the way, you should always try on the jacket before purchasing. I tried on two of the same jacket, and one fit much nicer than the other. One was nicely fitted, while the other one was stretched in weird places, and made the bottom of the jacket all flared. Also, but leather protecting spray! It's approximately $7 and lasts!

I was in dire need of some new shoes that were comfortable, casual, yet were also versatile to wear out in a slightly more formal setting. I thankfully was approached by Vanessa who, by the end, I joked around with as being my "personal shopper" to assist me. They had a fabulous sale going on where you buy two pairs of shoes with a red tag and get 20% off, or you buy three red tag pairs and save 30%! Better yet, it was also a win-win situation because using my American Express credit card I already receive $30 cashback after spending $150 or more. Heck, spending is not the hard part for me! I ended up leaving with three pairs of new shoes: an every day casual pair, an in between semi-casual pair, and some more formal leather shoes for a night out. Then throw in some socks and a belt, and I went crazy! Thankfully Vanessa and I chitchatted and got to know each other. When she learned that I was a nurse she added on a THIRD discount for First Responders! not to mention my first responder discount on top of the already killer deals! I could not pass up the discounts...like anyone else. Vanessa stayed on top of my chaos while still helping other customers, but making me feel like I was the only one shopping. She put away the shoes that I did not care for or that did not fit, which saved me from cleaning up after myself! Excellent customer service!! I know where I will be coming instead of shopping on Zappos where I have to constantly exchange items via UPS.

The only pair I liked in my size was also the last pair they had, but they were noticeably scuffed and damaged. I asked an employee if leather conditioner would fix the marks, and she honestly told me she wasn't sure because some of the scuffs looked pretty deep. She asked a coworker to take a look, and he was actually fantastic. He showed me how to properly condition the boots, explained that some of the damage would probably still be visible after the conditioner dried, and was very knowledgeable. Since they were the last pair and were clearly damaged, I asked if they offered any kind of discount. He said they could probably do 10% and would check with the manager. I also asked if they offered a military discount, and he told me yes, that was another 10%, so I would receive both. He came back after speaking with the manager and told me she approved it, with the only condition being that the boots would be final sale because they were damaged. While I thought that policy was odd, I agreed because I really wanted the boots. He put the boots aside at the front while I continued shopping. When I checked out, I told the cashier the boots at the register were mine. As soon as he picked up the note, his entire attitude changed. He questioned why I was receiving the 10% discount, and even after I explained that another employee had already spoken with the manager, he interrupted me and said he had to verify it. I honestly felt like he thought I had made the whole thing up. The manager came over, seemed visibly annoyed, and spoke quietly with the cashier. I showed my military ID. Right then I received an important phone call that I had to answer, but while I was on the phone the cashier was still able to ask if I had a rewards account and continue checking me out. After the manager walked away, he scanned everything, gave me my total, and never mentioned that the manager had changed her decision. It wasn't until I looked at the total and specifically asked whether the discount had been applied that he finally told me the manager had decided not to honor the damage discount after all. At that point I had somewhere I needed to be, I needed the boots, and I didn't have time to argue, so I paid and left. What bothers me most isn't even the discount itself--it's the lack of communication and professionalism. If the manager changed her mind, someone should have simply told me before ringing everything up instead of waiting until I noticed the total. On top of that, I still don't understand the logic of selling a visibly damaged item at full price while also saying it can't be returned because it's damaged. The employee who originally helped me Jerry I think was excellent and deserves recognition for his customer service. Unfortunately, the manager and checkout employee experience completely overshadowed that. For what should have been an exciting first experience buying my first pair of boots, it ended up leaving a really bad impression. I will not be back again.
