So conveniently close to me, it's not even funny.. I come here often and I always leave with something.. They have some real good stores in here, some of my favorites are Saks, Neiman, PacSun, converse and def more but I'm having a brain fart.. Anyway go here it's fun and you'll def make a day out of it especially w the Xmas tree shop lol it reminds me of Florida being here :) You're better off coming here on a weekday the weekends are flooded with city peeps.. So it's a holiday weekend (Columbus Day) and of course the best way to celebrate is go shopping and get great deals. This was first time to Tanger Outlet at Deer Park. From Brooklyn it took us an hour to get here which is great as most outlet malls are about 2 hours away. Checked out the site before to see the store selection and was pleased. So Saturday morning my bf and I drove up to shop the day away and that we did! The parking lot was crowded. We ended up parking in the BJs parking lot. We were actually in the mall for way longer than we expected and probably spent more than we thought but got some great deals. Even had to stop back at the car to drop off bags. I really liked the store selections. There was many but not so many that you feel overwhelmed like I have at other malls. The atmosphere was pretty calm making the shopping experience more relaxing as opposed to hectic. There were enough food choices for us to refuel and keep going. Bathrooms were clean. I have a AAA card so I got a coupon book for free but honestly it was completely useless as all the stores were having a store wide sale and the coupons in the book could not be combined. They did have a Pink card for Breast Cancer month where you donated $5 and could use in select store for 25% of an item. That was incredibly useful. It paid for itself 10 times over and of course proceeds are being donated. I'll be back here again once my wallet recuperates. read more

A long time ago, Woodbury Common in upstate New York was the only quality outlet shopping center in the area. Then we got Riverhead Tanger. Finally, we got Deer Park Tanger. It's a convenient location especially for me, living in Huntington. The first thing I noticed upon arrival is that the parking situation is positively insane. It's especially busy on the west side of the property, so you may be better off parking in the southeast section of the property. I was also disappointed to see a no pets sign, especially since I walk my dog anywhere I can, and I am able to walk him at other malls on the island. By the time I saw the sign, I was already there for a few minutes and nobody bothered me. I would rather shop at places where my dog is welcome. Also, I tried to use the Tanger wifi, and I logged into it, but it didn't work at all! That was disappointing. The ambience is really nice. Well designed and pleasant. I liked the decorative tiled roofs. The ambient music is also ok. A multitude of good stores are based here, including Banana Republic, Timberland, J Crew, and Brooks Brothers. They also have some decent eats, including Chipotle, Red Mango, and Haagen Daaz. The problem with mall food is either you have feh to meh grade food court food like in Roosevelt Field, or restaurant food (for the most part) like in Walt Whitman. Having quality fast food like Chipotle or Panera (ok, Walt Whitman has Panera) makes good sense to enrich the shopping experience. Overall, I'd come again, it's a very nice shopping center, but I prefer small stores in small towns where I can bring my small dog. read more

Stick to the one in Riverhead, please. At least that one has a better layout, better parking, and 2 centers instead of everything crammed into one. The Tanger in Deer Park is confusing, there's an entire wing of stores that are NOT open yet. Who opens an outlet when half the stores aren't ready to open their doors? Only one food place was open and that was Chipotle. While Chipotle is good, I was kind of looking forward towards Nathans. Besides all that though, they have a wonderful Timbs outlet (I have a collection of Timbs so this is heaven for me), BCBG is great, Kenneth Cole is great, and the shuttle from the Deer Park LIRR to the center is convenient. read more

Mehhhh. I kinda have a love/hate for the outlets at Deer Park. Don't get me wrong I have gotten some awesome deals but yet I've gotten even more awesome deals out in Riverhead. Plus Riverhead is the OG of Outlets on the Island in my opinion. I also enjoy the ride to Riverhead more because in the summer months I hit the farm stands. During the fall months I go to Briermere. The things I hate the most about Deer Park are listed below. - Without fail I have gotten either a little lost or a little confused more times than not. That being said I know it's me being stubborn and thinking I remember where a certain store is. - I also have left empty handed. Yet whenever I leave Riverhead I usually have at least 2 bags. Now on the other side of the coin why I love Deer Park. - I love how the food options here. Hey Chipotle! Orrrrr even better Johnny Rockets! Which I haven't had in awhile but it is an option. You know what's even cooler...? When the food trucks come! Woohoo! It's a mad house but it's been worth it! - I also like coming here on a nice day when it's not super hot and feeling like I'm in Florida! So will I be back? Yeah of course but if you wanted me to pick my favorite Outlet it'd be Riverhead. read more

What's not to like about this place? They're following the new rules to keep their stores not so full due to the pandemic. A woman wearing a nurse uniform had her 3 y/o running around Lane Bryant with no mask on. Her daughter wasn't be watched closely by her mother. She was walking up to other customers & playing through the racks of clothes & knocking displays over. One of the cashiers kindly walked over to the nurse asking her to please keep her child with her & asked where's her mask? The nurse was annoyed & said her daughter is fine & did not need to wear a mask. So the cashier said alright then please keep her close to you. Again her daughter stated running around the store without any supervision from her mother aka the nurse. Once a lady with 2 of her own children came into Lane Bryant all with masks on. This mom didn't like the nurses daughter coming near her children whom were staying near her. Kindly asked the nurses daughter where was her mom? When the little girl ignored her she immediately went to the cashier to complain about the little girl not wearing a mask & with this pandemic she couldn't understand why that child wasn't wearing a mask nor being closely supervised by her parent. So the cashier told her she understands her concern & that she would bring it to the little girls mother attention now. When the cashier approached the nurse & asked to please keep her daughter with her & to kindly put a mask on her that other customers were complaining. All the clothes the nurse had in her arms to purchase she actually tried to drop the onto the floor. The cashier/sales associate caught them before they could hit the floor. Then when the nurse grabbed her daughter's arm & dragged her out the store. Every other customer clapped their hands for the cashier/sales associate doing what she did. Of all things she was wearing a smock a nurse, surgeon & sometimes doctors wear. She should've known better. People can be so selfish. Guess it's true. You just can't fix stupid. read more

Here's the Scoop: Food Fest began today at the Arches in Tangers Mall @Deer Park. More trucks than last year. This year vendors were included at the food fest. Face painting, monarch butterflies, henna tattoo to name a few. Paella of Spain, chicken, cheese steaks, lobster rolls, fried ice cream, juice bar, hydrated water, fresh chips and loaded fries were some of the trucks represented. Tangers mall is generally full on weekends so adding a food fest really packed people in. Parking was very tight. This year a $5 entrance fee was charged to get into the fest that was quadron off into a space. Last year the fest was open and free of cost to attend. I think the powers that be saw that this was a money maker and decided to revamp the fest. I prefer walking through the mall and freely attending the fair without an extra cost. Having folk sanctioned to a certain area felt closed in and claustrophobic. I'm not sure if we'll attend next year. I must say everything I tried was delicious. read more

If you are the avid seasonal "clearance" and "SALES!!" shopper like me, you will feel a bit disappointed that you didn't drive out that much further to Riverhead. Why? 1) The shopping selection is really not as vast as you might be hoping when you look at the layout of the place; it's just like double spacing a report - make it look impressive 2) ONE bathroom EACH for guys and gals in most restrooms!!! There was a line waiting for the men's room because the women's was out of order; took 40 minutes! 3) The sales weren't as eye popping Arches to me will only be the half way point of shopping euphoria. read more

My wife and I have been lifetime Tanger members since circa 2006. When this location opened in the midst of the financial crisis in or about 2008-2009, we were among the first to visit. Fast forward a bit, and it's becoming obvious that there isn't enough parking. Tanger Deer Park is a victim of its own success. Finding parking at this outlet center is by far the most frustrating activity of all. I prefer the Riverhead location for the brands, but I like this location because it's more suitable to push a child in stroller - you're not all that close to any moving traffic, unlike Riverhead. New stores appear to be opening all the time - Levi's is a good example. Despite the parking challenges, I will certainly be back. read more

Love coming here, lots of options for clothes, shoes, coats, bags, basically it's a mall outside. There's even a movie theater (never been but it seems popular). There is some food options inside but it's best to go outside in the area so much to pick from. If your an AAA member you get the coupon book for free or you can just pay $5. It's worth getting if you plan on shopping a lot. Today it was pretty cold so bundle up and wear comfortable shoes. My favorite stores are Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Wilson leathers but today I got some goodies from bath and body works. The even have a lane Bryant and torrid for the plus size ladies. New store alert FILA it's a throw back but seems like throwback is in. Great place to take kids shopping for school, and if your on a budget. read more

Tanger outlet deer park has a great variety of stores to shop at and is about a 30-45 min drive from queens and Nassau depending from where you're coming from. I'd much rather go to this outlet than let's say Roosevelt mall! At least you feel like you're saving when you find something you like. Also you get fresh air walking from store to store. There is a nice courtyard area to hangout at on a nice day. Be sure to get a coupon booklet if you're a triple a member or tanger club member. read more

The black guy at the Lids store has to be one of the rudest employees I've ever come across. I will never ever go back to the Lids ever ever again. He talks to you like you're stupid. He has no education on the things he is selling. He just makes stuff up. Tries to rush you out the store. I've been collecting hats and jerseys for almost 35 years and the things he was saying about the jerseys for sale made absolutely no sense. He just didn't want to have to take them down so I can look at them. If you don't want to deal with people all day, don't get a job where you have to deal with people. Plain and simple!! read more

Tanger Riverhead is so much better than this outlet. This outlet has limited stores, and the stores don't even have the best selection of items. The Steve Madden at this outlet might as well close down because they have nothing at all. There is a Saks store and that is bad as well. All of the items/clothing are still extremely high in price. They have a Wilson's Leather store which had decent prices (simply because they were Black Friday prices) but regular price was extremely expensive. My boyfriend bought a $900 leather jacket for $250 (but no way in hell do I think the jacket was really $900 regular price. They definitely raise prices just to make the sale price seem good). Colombia outlet is small. Timbaland for the most part only had shoes. Oakley outlet is not an outlet; their prices are high. Nike store had nothing either. The best part of this outlet is the chipotle, red, mango, and Christmas tree/skating rink. It's a small rink but it's cute. It was closed when I went because it was raining bad. My boyfriend is returning the jacket, so maybe I will give this outlet another try when we go back, but as for now, 2 stars it is. read more

I really like Tanger. I love the "outdoor" shopping idea, though in the winter months you book it to the next store. They even have an ice skating rink around a Christmas tree. I mean, it's not Rockefeller Center, but it's super cute! You can usually find a good sale at the stores here, and there is parking all over. They are finally getting more food places in, though I usually go to Chipotle, because, well, it's Chipotle. They have the Regal Cinemas here which is a nice movie theater. Pro tip - Hit up It'Sugar before the movies to get your pick-n-mix on. How come movie theaters don't have that anymore? The Asics outlet is a nice new edition to the Tanger mall. They opened this summer and I scored two pairs of great shoes. J Crew usually has good sales, and FYI - if you're a teacher you receive an extra discount. Riverhead Tanger is too far of a drive for me, and that place is too large, unless you want to REALLY do some power shopping or are looking for home furnishings, the Deer Park location is great. read more

Overall a nice, clean and new outdoors outlet. Plenty of bathrooms and places to sit. There are a few fast food restaurants and a very crowded/busy Starbucks. The whole complex is rather small but not swamped by tourist like Woodbury Commons Outlet. One annoyance for me and my family, this place is not pet friendly and they do not state it on their website. You only find out once you get there and see the signs reading "No Pets Allowed". Most of the other Tanger Outlet locations do allow dogs, which you will see with a google search, so one would think this Tanger Outlet at Deer Park would have the same rules. read more

Deer Park Tanger Outlets is a outside outlet with plenty of stores for everyone!! I love that they have the maps scattered every where so you can find a specific store. They made some great adjustments from when I came last time adding Micheal Kors into there centers of stores! They have a movie theater as well as Johnny Rockets all on the same sight unless you are craving something different. They also have different festivals that take place, as well as a ice skating rink for the winter. There is fairly a lot of parking unless you go on the weekends or around the holiday time!!! Some stores you can find great deals however many don't have any deals at all and just follow the regular price of the store front they are with such as Old Navy where you need to bring your own shopping bag or pay for one, and Bath and Body where you get the same deals just like any other bath and body in the malls. Overall it's a great place to stop by to waste some time or spend some money. read more

This review is for the the food truck festival on the wknd of July 14th, I happen to be visiting a friend & we decided to check it out on Sunday. $5 dollars to get in ahh not sure why they charge? I've Never paid for any of these types of food festivals but $5 is not that bad & kids under 10 I believe are free. Once inside we looked around first up was the Wowfulls ice cream excited to try this & for the most part it didn't disappoint I had the crazy vanilla, w fruity pebbles & caramel great tasting vanilla rainbow in color fruity pebbles & caramel for the extra sweet taste not bad the only disappointment was the price $10 for the cone a bit over priced in my opinion. We had some beer pretty good for $6, food wise didn't try much since a lot didn't call my attention got a grilled cheese from Aj's gourmet grilled cheese their specialty the Mac & cheese melt was delicious good Mac, nice buttery bread not bad at all sandwich was $10 not terrible nice size a bit overpriced as well. Area was crowded but decent overall plenty of vendors to choose from depending on what calls your attention, I liked what I tried. read more

It's an okay place to go shopping. Came here for Black Friday to try to avoid some of the craziness. Craziness was avoided but nothing was really bought -- only a pair of Sperrys and shorts at BR. This place is actually pretty big but with a small number of stores that I personally would even go into. So for an outlet mall that's so "small", it's not that bad. But for me personally, the point of outlet shopping is to buy a lot of stuff at great deals. Unfortunately here, the stuff isn't cheap enough to make up for the lack of selection. If you want a place to stroll around and leisurely shop, this would probably be the chillest outlet mall I've ever been to. But if you really want to shop, I'd go for Riverhead or Woodbury. read more

This Tanger gives SUCH a nice shopping experience. It's a great balance of mall shopping with lots of stores in one convenience place and "pretty" shopping locations. I'm not a big shopper by nature, but this Tanger really does make it an easy and pleasant experience. Set up in a sunburst pattern and named after Italian areas, the space is fairly easy to navigate and gives the opportunity to enjoy being outside as you hop between stores. Mall directories are posted at the end of each walkway, some of which are interactive and show you the quickest route between your current position and intended destination. At the center of the plaza is a little "town center". In winter I've seen ice skating, and in the fall there's a farmer's market with craft, food, and even wine vendors. Parking lots circle the entire shopping center, so be sure you pay attention to where you've parked before leaving your car behind. There are a few food options (Chipotle, Johnny Rockets, Nathan's and a few others) as well as a Starbucks on-site, but no large major restaurants as many malls would typically have. Miller's Ale House sits in the parking lot a short trek from the shops. Stop by the Mall Office to pick up a coupon booklet (free for AAA members and I believe only a small fee for others) and to find out about other promotions in place. read more

I am usually not in this area of Long Island at all but made a stop here this past sunday the 25th. It was enjoyable. ThE weather was pretty crappy that day so you could see that walking through this mall on a nice clear day is great. I did not have that experience ,next time hopefully. - I like the list of shops they had here but this day I was just really window shopping: Nike outlet, Sax FifTH avenue. The movie theater Regal 16 looked really nice. - The little awning things were cool that it briefly helped you not get wet by the rain but that day it was huge damn WIND STORM. read more

Pretty decent outlets. Came here for the Nike Factory Outlet to get some new running shoes...so I guess this review is more for the Nike store. Pretty good range of athletic clothing available. For the sneakers: there is a whole wall of on-sale sneakers (of course my shoe size is never one of the real contenders). However, the other shoes they have are pretty inexpensive. I wear Nike Airmax, and the total was only $68. The retail is well above $100 +++. So very happy. In terms of other outlet stores, this is a smaller Tanger Outlets. I only came to this one because it was relatively close to where I was at the time. read more

I no longer go to the theater here because it is always crowded, however when it comes to last minute shopping for a holiday I am in here. I don't know what's here anymore to be honest because when I come here it's typically with my mother to go to the movies. Updating it to 4 stars because when I needed to get some last minute christmas shopping done Tanger didn't disappoint. I picked up gifts for my sister at Hot Topic & some stuff at Torrid. If you went to High School in Deer Park or Dix Hills then be prepared to see all those people again. read more

Beautiful Architecture with an ice skating rink and large christmas tree. This tanger outlet is much closer than the one in river head but it has much much less stores. So if you're planning to do heavy amt of shopping, you might want to drive the extra distance for the riverhead locations. But definitely brownie points for chipotle, red mango and movie theather! read more

Great selection of stores and I love the outdoor environment and villa-like design and setup. I love he J-crew, banana republic, old navy and Anne Taylor stores the best. Great selection of sizes and the prices are sometimes a lot less than the main retail stores. Only thing missing is more of a food selection when you need a little shopping break. But since I love tacos, chipotle is always my go to when I need to energize myself again for another lap around the place. I usually get a lot of coupons in the mail for several stores in this outlet but sometimes stores will deny them based on their discretion for whatever reason. read more

I went to Tanger in Deer Park twice this week and I really like it. The drive from Queens isn't too long and ok the weekday, there's plenty of parking available. It's not crowded and I don't see any tourist at all. It's much smaller than the Tanger in Riverhead, but the stores here are just fine. The food choices here are way better than the Riverhead. The restrooms here are also plentiful. My biggest complaint about Tanger Deer Park would be their coupon book. It's $5 for the book, free if you are affiliated in other types of memberships. The issue here is the coupons are often not valid in the stores because of another promotion they currently running. In other words, you cannot tack on coupons from the Tanger coupon book on top of whatever sale/promotion the store is currently running. read more

This is a nice quiet place to shop and even if you don't find anything to your liking, it's still nice to just stroll while window shopping. Be sure to get a map because it's VERY helpful if you're looking for any particular store. Also be sure to stop into the Visitor's Center to get a coupon book. The outlet center itself and the stores are nicely maintained and very clean. There are chairs and benches throughout the center if you get tired. All the employees we encountered at the stores we stopped into were very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are clean and there are many located all around the shopping area. The ladies room has a small room/area with a rocking chair for nursing moms and an area for diaper changes. This was a very nice feature for moms with young ones. We ate at the Johnny Rocket's and staff there were friendly and accommodating. read more

Pretty good - liked it better than the Riverhead location. Plenty of non name brand clothing stores to go to, like the as seen on tv store and a few others that had interesting stuff. Parking was good, came on a day where it was pouring rain and some sections have overhead coverage from the rain. Would go again if in the mood for some outlet shopping. read more
