The first time I went to Tangerine was when my usual stylist was out of town and I desperately needed a haircut and my color corrected (my balayage was growing out and I wanted to go back to my natural hair color)! I saw Danielle who was super friendly and understanding of my particular needs. I felt so comfortable around her and she even brought me some tea. I ended up recommending Tangerine to my sister who got her haircut there as well and she loved how easy and simple the whole process was. The second time I went back, I saw Kaycee and she was a delight! She also made me feel so relaxed and she is the reason I will probably keep my hair styled short for a long time. I came back to see her again for a shampoo blow out and styling because her techniques are so elegant and skilled.

Everything was great. Ludie is so talented with curly hair. The vibe is so fresh, clean and inspiring.10/10 every single time.

Do not book with Kaycee. Awful haircut. I wanted a mid length asymmetrical bob and I ended up looking like Meg from The Family Guy. It looks nothing like the picture I showed her. She took off more than 50% length. Definitely will not be coming back to this salon. read more

Amazing spot! Went to an event here in August and decided then that I would come back for a massage. I came back on Tuesday and had a 60 minute massage appointment with Pa'shun. As I entered the salon I was warmly greeted by the ladies at the front desk. I told them I had an appointment and they led me back. I asked if they had some of their amazing tea and they did! I had a cup and a couple of pieces of chocolate while I waited for Pa'shun. She greeted me and brought me back to a room that was dimly lit and had a comfortable looking table covered with blankets. She asked me to complete a short form asking about my health and areas of concern. I completed the form and she asked me to undress to my comfort level. I laid on the table and was just amazed. I felt that this hour was all about me and all about my needs. Pa'shun knew exactly the amount of pressure I needed and I felt so relaxed and at ease when I left. I felt comfortable asking about things and asking if she could go back to areas. I will definitely be back to get another massage here!! read more

It's the best salon ever. I've been a Tangerine customer for almost 20 years. Coppell location has excellent service and stylists. I've been going to Michelle for some time now and cut and color are always perfect. Have also had excellent styling services from stylists who have moved to other locations. Marshall in Dallas and Blue in Frisco. Very professional service and friendly staff. So glad to have a Tangerine salon in Coppell! read more

This place is a gem. The location is absolutely beautiful. A friend recommended Katie to me, and I'm happy I was able to book with her! She took one look at my hair, and knew just what to do. I enjoyed the scalp massage with my shampoo. She breezed through the cut with ease, and gave it a perfect blowout. I'm very happy with the results. It's definitely one of my top 5 haircuts I've had of all time. The staff was all very friendly, and everything was kept clean. All staff wore masks, and the shampoo stations had shields between each. read more

My go-to salon from now on. I moved to TX a little over a year ago and was having a stressful time finding a stylist like the one I had back home in NY. My first experience wasn't amazing. I'm particular with my blonde, and the first time in I left with the same brassiness I came in to fix. The owners were sweet and quick to resolve the issue by setting me up with someone new and more experienced, and even comped it. My new stylist, Theresa, is all I could want from a stylist. She was extremely honest with me my very first appointment, gave me her opinion on what has gone wrong on my hair journey while finding another stylist. She even asked another stylist to confirm what she thought was the issue, and got right to fixing it. She is patient, gentle and genuinely listens to all your concerns. Thankful to Lauren, the manager, and Theresa for their patience and helping me find what I've been looking for for too long! read more

I came to the new salon about a week ago and am so in love! It's beautiful and exactly where i want to be when i need a day for myself to get my hair done. It's also in a cute area with other small shops, and if you go on a Saturday, there is a farmers market going on in the mornings! Caroline has cut my hair a few times now and is excellent! She knows her stuff, gives great tips and is also easy to chat with. You can't go wrong visiting Tangerine! read more

She actually understood the length and style I want and I think after a long time I finally found someone who knew what she was doing g and actually listened to me instead of just doing what they see fit. Meet the Business Owner: Brandon and Janet H.

Brandon & Janet started Tangerine in 2005 in Coppell, TX with 2500 sq feet and 6 employees. Partnering with Aveda, they soon saw great growth potential through their commitment to customer service and creating a culture of passion and excellence for their team. Now with five locations in some of the hottest shopping districts across the Dallas area, and growing to over 150 employees, Brandon & Janet's priority is that the company never becomes complacent. I know she was meticulous, taking approx an hour to make sure everything looked perfect. I was even impressed with the blowout at the end, I never felt the heat of the blow dryer against my scalp. Lily is SUCH a sweet lady and will converse with you the entire appt. She deserves 5 stars and more.

I went back for a second time with my mom. They explained what would be good for me and my mother. Honey did my nails which was amazing. Simple and cute. As in, it's always dark when I go in and there's usually just one woman working on the week days with one customer in the entire shop and if you don't have an appointment, you're just out of luck. I can't deal with that kind of exclusivity because my pedicure needs are sporadic and always happen on a whim. I drove around until I saw this shop near the house. "Honey Dipp." Cute name. I did a quick Yelp review and looked only at the rating and decided to give it a shop. Walked in and immediately was aware that I'm was the only Asian here. Long story short, this ended up being a great experience. I had "Q" who did a fantastic job. When I say she did a great job, I mean, she was inspecting each one of my toe nails like a jeweler inspecting a diamond. She actually scrubbed the rough spots on my feet and took time to make sure the polish was on perfectly. Even though there were a few people in the shop, I did not once feel rushed or uncomfortable. Plus, one of the employees had her kid there who was seriously one of the cutest freakin kids I've ever seen running around offering me Ritz crackers. If you're in the area, come give these ladies some support. I was very impressed and will be back!

I went to Tangerine for the first time this past Saturday and when I got there everything was going smoothly. I found out that the stylist I was scheduled with was overbooked and they had to ask someone else to do my hair. Mike my new stylist was such an awesome guy, he made me feel comfortable and he new how to keep a conversation going. When he was washing my hair, he asked me if I would like to get some highlights done while I was there, and I said yes. While he was cutting my hair, another worker there asked him how long it would take for him to do my hair, he said " I don't know because I have to finish cutting it, then dry it and we decided to do some highlights, so I'm not sure how long it would take... why?" the other worker responded with a " Well your last appointment took over 45 minutes longer than what it should have and I want to get out of here by 7." After she said that my experience went downhill. I cannot believe that she told him to hurry up so that she could leave at 7 on a Saturday night. I did not get my highlights done that day, and Mike tried really hard to save my experience at the salon.When Mike was done with my hair and I went to go pay I asked for the manager and I was told by the receptionist that the manager was not there that day and that she will have the manager call me on Monday. Well now it's Tuesday and I still haven't gotten a call from the manager. Mike was the only positive experience in the salon, the only reason I am going back is to get my highlights done by him. I left the salon very upset because it was the first time I have ever paid so much for a haircut, and this is how I get treated. read more

Horrible experience. Only went here based on my friends recommendation. Called to ask if they had availability this week since my normal stylist was not available and I let them know clearly on the phone i needed color on my hair and on a clip on hair piece. They said no problem and come in for a consultation. I went in within 20 minutes of that call. I was very impressed by the phone call but my experience at the salon was the opposite. I meet with a stylist and we went over a game plan and then she tells me she doesn't have availability this week. Which I understand, it was last minute. She says there are plenty of other stylists in the salon, they say some other stylist is available on friday morning and he was on lunch in the back and they were going to check to see if he can come out for a few minutes to talk to me. I was like great. Few minutes later, the receptionist comes back and says he's with a client (which i doubt because they just told me he was on lunch) and he doesn't want to work on the clip on hair piece but he'll do my hair. Um why would i want to get anything done by you when you can't even come out and greet a new customer for a few minutes ( I would've waited by the way) Also, why did tangerine completely waste my time when i told them all of this on the phone before coming in. So you didn't have availability this week and you guys don't work on the hair piece. Do not go here andI have also told my friend who recommended this place to me to stop recommending this place! read more

My entire family uses Tangerine, Coppell. Over the years we have gone to 5 different people and they were/are all great. Of those who have cut/colored/highlighted/permed our hair, two are still there.... Bill and Paula. Some stylists moved to the new locations but we didn't panic. ALL the stylists are great, but I think Bill is the best and my teenage daughter feels the same about Paula. They not only listen to what you want, Bill made a new style look great with my face shape.....he's definitely an artist! You don't just get a haircut. You get a head massage as well. Last time I was there I was so relaxed after the shampoo I almost nodded off during the cut. The Aveda products are nice. The salon is beautiful and clean. The prices are a bit higher than those walk-in shops but knowing you will leave happy with whatever you have done is worth it. Don't hesitate to try any of Tangerine's locations. read more

I have been a client of Janet's at Tangerine since they opened in Coppell. Previously I went to an Aveda-concept salon in Las Colinas and was glad to make the switch (plus, it is less expensive than the Las Colinas salon) . I would recommend Tangerine for the following reasons that make it my salon of choice: (1) It is close to where I live (2) Love the online booking (3) very satisfied with the haircut and color I receive every 6-8 weeks(4) am an Aveda product user (skin and hair) so like how they are very knowledgeable in new Aveda products (5) like the decor-very chic!! (6) enjoy the personal relationship I have developed with Janet over the years (who is not only my stylist but also the owner)--she is such a genuinely nice person. I have friends who go to Tangerine and they have different stylists and I've never heard a bad thing about it. So glad to have Tangerine as a hometown salon. read more

I moved to Lewisville a year and a half ago and didn't know anyone in the area and just knew I would never find anyone who could do my hair like I had it done weekly in Tyler, Texas. But the minute I stepped in Tangerine Salon I was welcomed by a smile and an offer to have a soft drink or coffee. I knew I was home. I love this place, Ludy, Teena, and Janet have done my hair and I love all 3 of them, but now I am a weekly client of Janets and I consider her to be not only my stylist, but a dear friend. I'm sorry I left out Paula, she has done my hair too and is very good and a sweet lady. Now my entire family goes to Tangerine Salon, my son gets his hair cuts there, and my daughter in law goes in for her color. I started going to Tangerine when the salon opened and have gone to many stylist here over the years. My entire family goes to different stylist at Tangerine so I've had great expierences with many of the stylist over the years. I see Mischa for my cuts and color - love her ideas and always trust her judgement. My daughter goes to Lindsey and my husband and son go to James. I love the staff and have always been very happy with our results. They are happy to offer suggestions on Aveda products but they are not pushy product sellers at Tangerine. Go give them a try - they recruit top talent in the area and have many stylist to fit anyone's taste. read more

My daughter is so picky on her hair. I was worried there would be tears and lots of fighting. I had an appointment with Annie at Tangerine Salon. She is the most amazing person! She calmed my daughter down, got her engaged in the cut/style and the two of them became fast friends. Annie is so patient and works wonders! I cannot say enough about the Salon and Annie! We were greeted with a smile, didn't wait more than 4 minutes, and everything went so well. I highly recommend both Salon and Stylist! Spoke with the other stylists nearby and everyone was so friendly and happy. The owners should be very proud of all their staff, but especially Annie. read more

I came to Tangerine a year ago after searching for a new salon after moving to the area. I was looking for another Aveda salon that offered great service and expertise as I have come to expect . Besides, who wants to have more bad hair days than necessary? I was greeted with a cup of coffee by a fun, friendly staff that answered all my questions and made me feel right at home. I have been twice now to Tangerine salon in Coppell. I love it! First, I walk in the door and the wonderful Aveda smells hit me. I am greeted with a smile and an offer to get me something to drink. Then one of my FAVORITE parts, the hair wash. I feel like I am at a spa. It is so relaxing and I feel so pampered. Blue is the man for me when it comes to my haircut. I am so thankful to benefit from his talented cutting. My husband loves my haircut! I have sent a friend of mine to see Blue. She loved her experience. From start to finish it is a treat. I started going to Tangerine a while back because a friend recommend it and booked with a random hairdresser McKenna. Fast forward to a couple years later and it's been the best decision. She is so kind and thoughtful. She always asks what we're doing (even though I ask for the same thing every time :)) she styles my hair even though She knows I always put it up a couple hours later. She takes the time and effort to make my hair look beautiful. Even though I keep moving further away I continue to make the drive to see her because it's absolutely worth it. I went to the Coppell location and my stylist was Kristina Fierro. My appointment was supposed to be with a Senior stylist and Kristina is Studio level. That would have been fine but she gave no input at all into styles, color or general ideas. She was very cold and not engaged at all in the process. I asked her to please thin or texture my hair and she just ignored me. My daughter came over and asked her to thin it out, which she then did. The salon is fantastic and would have been well worth the money if I had a stylist that cared. I will go back but will use a different stylist. read more

I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair. I was a kid who would cry every time my mom took me to get a haircut. Ever since I met Mischa I don't worry about who is going to cut my hair because I trust her so much! She is amazing and understood exactly what kind of cut I wanted the first time I met her! I had a fabulous cut and color today. I went to a new salon because I love Aveda products, but I had no idea how fabulous the salon was. I also was so blessed to get a wonderful girl name Mischa who reallly took the time to figure out my excact hair color and my cut was a amazing. I also recieved a hand massage that set the appointment over the top. Great Salon and the service I recieved from Mischa was amazing. I already have my next appointment next month. I want to rave about my stylist for a moment. Not only does my hair always look and feel great, Adrian always makes my visit an experience of pampering. I always get the shoulder and neck massage prior to my haircut, but even her scalp massage during shampoo time is like being in a spa! Back to my hair...Adrian always spends time discussing what I want and I've often times asked her what she thinks my hair needs to stay looking great because I trust her. Blue was the best! He sat me down and really listened to what I wanted. He understood my vision and executed it perfectly. The salon in Coppell is gorgeous and they are so accommodating and welcoming. I would recommend Tangerine and Blue in particular. Last time (at a different salon) I had an awful experience and ended up walking out hating my hair. Blue was such a refreshing change! I heard about Tangerine thru a friend who suggested the salon. I was having a reaction from a product used to color my hair. I was using a large upscale salon in downtown Dallas. With no option or offers for help, I decided to consult Paula, at Tangerine. Paula gave me options and advice that I needed, discussed a process to follow until my hair/scalp returned to normal. I am with some of the other "Rose" reviews... I was going to this salon for a couple of years with Rosé. I was and am still sad she is gone. I drove from Tyler Tx just for her. She was the best stylist I have had. I went to a couple other people at this Coppell location after she was gone, but they were not the same and weren't as efficient. I even had "master stylists" that didn't make the effort Rose did. I won't be back, but hope to one day find Rosé again! read more

Ludy Ortiz cuts my straight, thick, short hair and she does a fantastic job giving me a precise, edgy cut that is flattering, relatively care-free and that lasts. I can go 8-10 weeks between cuts with the shape holding well. I get as many compliments 8 weeks out as I get the week of a cut. I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair as I do with Ludy's cuts. One day 7 different strangers stopped me to compliment me on my hair cut! Ludy is the best! read more

LOVE Tangerine! I used to go to Southlake and when my stylist left the business, I immediately went to Tangerine. Kendra cuts my hair, she is a doll! Lots of my friends go to Tangerine and if Kendra wasn't available, I'd feel very comfortable with Lundy and/or Marshall. I especially like the Christmas pampering day they did last year.....PLEASE DO IT AGAIN THIS YEAR! Helped me get deal with the holiday stress! Aveda products are the best! read more
